Came to this lounge on a Friday night and the vibe was lit. I don't normally attend hookah lounges that charge an admission price at the door on top of everything else they make you pay for once inside. But I took one for the team. Lol hookahs are very reasonable priced, however, the hookah was not good...at all. From the time one of our hookahs got to our table, there was something wrong with it. We kept telling the server but she wouldn't take it back, she would just try to fix it and it still was not working. The other hookah was pulling great for about 8 minutes and then it started smoking really bad and harsh. Hookah should not be doing that after that short amount of time. I'm giving 3 stars due to the hookah being undesirable and a cover at the door. But the atmosphere was lit and overall had a good time. I wouldn't recommend the hookah though. @MissMo2323 read more

Poor place to come. It's very clean and that isn't the issue. Sit down and take a chance to read the menu before ordering Hookah. They charge $5 even if you aren't planning on smoking. They charge $5 entry at the door. Another $5 for drinking your own alcohol that you supply. Bad deal. Most hookah lounges in the Dallas-Fort Worth area do not charge these types of fees. Always love visiting Volume! Club vibes on the weekends, and more of a chill atmosphere with EDM/HipHop music on weeknights and Sunday nights. They recently remodeled with new furniture and re-painted the walls. It's an absolutely fantastic place to hang out for a couple of hours. Volume is a newly owned hookah lounge in Richardson, Tx. I really enjoy this lounge for a couple of different reasons. The staff is very attentive, accommodating and very patient/helpful when choosing your hookah flavors. I love how simplistic yet wonderfully crafted their menu is. If you have any problems ordering, they'll even make suggestions. The prices are so very reasonable for the quality of the hookah and service that you receive. Clean hookah, beautiful base, tobacco is great quality and I usually smoke for about an hour with no problems. I've been to a lot of hookah lounges in Texas and I believe that Volume is probably one of the best there is, if not the best. They have a live DJ every weekend, and international night on Friday nights! I love the music they play, as well as the ambiance and vibe this place gives off. They also have belly dancers! The live entertainment is a very good plus! Lastly, the owners are always there to make sure the show runs smoothly. Sam and Wassim are very attentive and you can tell they truly care about the place by the quality of their service as well. If there's a problem, they are quick to fix it and make you feel welcomed in this beautiful lounge. I've sent numerous friends here and they have gained life long customers. Went here tonight to just chill and buy some tea. They didn't have any tea, it was slow but I did not want to smoke a hookah this time as I have done before and now the policy has changed to now you absolutely have to buy a hookah in order to stay no matter what else you buy on the menu. The "manager" was rude about telling me this saying it's not a library. So I left and took my business to Cairo Hookah lounge. More comfortable and WAY better spot and they will not turn you away if you just purchase tea and want to sit and relax. read more

Great environment and service! The dj was on point for a Saturday night. The staff was attentive. Of course there was a cover and byob charge, but that's expected and the norm for hookah bars in the area. I'll definitely be returning. The seating is laid out to accommodate a crowd. This place overcharges you. Cover charge, extra person fees, plus automatic service charge. Complete crap. Way too high prices to compensate for average service. Absolutely ridiculous. Tried the Volume hookah lounge for a night out. We we're having a lot of fun and the service was great, and then out came the DJ at about 10:30p. He started blaring shitty music to the 12 people there, and completely killed the chill vibe. We asked that the music be turned down, but they refused. Can't say enough about this place. Service was over the top. Asked for Turkish coffee and they didn't sell it anymore, but one of the guys left and went and got some so he could make it for us. Just don't see that these days. It was pretty empty and quiet as we got there early (6pm) but by 8:30, the lights were turned down, DJ came out and the place filled up. Belly dancer came out about 11:45 and did an amazing job working the whole room. Highly recommend this place for a group friends looking for a high energy fun night. read more

This is a really cool, chill place. I haven't been since it was Peace Pipe, but the new owners are updating it nicely. I went on a Friday night and there was a DJ that was playing good music. They have a good selection of tobacco flavors, and even though they were out of ice, our server Mike offered to put all of our drinks in the back cooler for us. He was great! This place is super fun and staff is really nice but they get you with the hidden fees! They need to tell you up front that you're charged for BYOB/per drinker and that it's 3 per hookah. Sigh. I wanted to be able to write a 5-star review like everyone else- but I'm going to tell the truth. I came in last night with a party of 5 around 9ish. I'll start off with the positives- and show how things went a bit down hill. This place is in Carrollton near a lot of other hookah spots and I came in due to the 5-star Yelp rating. It's in an easily accessible location in the back of a strip mall- brightly lit sign- huge space- well ventilated, etc. you're greeted by a friendly guy to pay the $5 cover (card or cash)-- BYOB. Seated easily/promptly. We ordered 1 hookah/2 flavors and a few brought in beer/wine. No problems, flavors changed out in due time- good to go. Server never brought our ice bucket- for our beers- small things --as we were enjoying the music. DJ is awesome and played all high energy hip hop/R&B/house international vibe. Think the DJ could've let the songs play a bit before switching to the next, but again, small things. HERE is the problem: it's 11:15p and I ask for my CC so that I can split the bill. My server hadn't been back in awhile (initially thought he was super busy w tables...since he never brought our ice awhile back). So, I find another lady server and tell her I need my bill (and cc) don't run the card- we'll split the check. She tells me- our server had to leave the establishment due to an emergency and he'll be back in 5 min. Ok. Not my problem? We just wanna pay. 11:30p. I say where is he? you know what just bring my card and we just want to pay and go. "He's coming, I don't know where he is". Ok, now we have a problem. Explain to me what this has to do with my cc and where is my cc? do you have it? She goes back and forth and then the owner gets involved (wassim). Server tells me my guy has to log in with his code so that they can run my bill. Listen. I tell the owner that again- getting upset here and tell him I decide to come here and bring ppl- didn't have to come to your establishment. All of this is unprofessional and that this is the FIrST time I have heard such a thing. Wassjm tells me he doesn't want to argue w me, he'll make everything right - offer a discount, and that I have to wait for this guy. I will say owner was a bit short- don't cut off a patron when they are speaking to you/ especially a woman. Again, super upset now, and asked the lady who initially helped me - where the f* is my card? B/c now it seems we are playing games and either someone has left the place w my card or you don't want to give it to me and it's here. They literally held my card hostage until this guy came back. Another 15 minutes. This situation is finally resolved as my original server eventually brings my card outside to me and guess they decided to comp our bill. Per wassim, this has never happened before? Right!? You're a new spot and your systems don't have an override such that YOU as an owner can't cash people out? Either that OR that server had my card and another group's card on him and left the establishment. Potential Lawsuit?!? I'm giving 3 stars for the fact it is a nice chill spot, awesome DJ- and some dancers came out during this fiasco around 11:30, and they ended up comping us. Let this be a LESSON here for this situation to NEVER happen again. What if *I* had an emergency and had to leave? I'm supposed to leave my cc behind?? holes here that need to be fixed! read more

Was so looking forward to going here. Went on Friday night, not busy. Took awhile to get service. Waitress was sweet. When we had an issue with the quality of the flavor we ordered, she tried to help us when all of a sudden a waiter comes over and starts overtalking her and being very rude to us. She fixed the issue but the rudeness of the waiter was disturbing and unprofessional. When we were leaving another staff member came over and asked us how everything was. This is a newly renovated place where u can just chill and smoke some hookah! I came in with my friends on Friday night and i really enjoyed the music. They even have a belly dance show, and it was great. We met some new people who seemed very nice. the staff was very friendly, they will even make flavor suggestions if u felt indecisive ! After multiple times here I can say hands down Mike is the best server and he's super cute! My friends and I have been multiple times and we always have a great time! Ask for Mike if you go you won't be disappointed! My first impression wasn't that great but if you get a good server you'll really enjoy it. The atmosphere is great and the people are really fun.
