UPDATE: Father and Sons did step up and reached out to Volvo, who fully reimbursed me for the Sunroof service ORIGINAL: Have a 2020 Volvo XC90. In April 2023, it started leaking water from the rear view mirror housing. Took in for service and they stated it was a known issue, due to the sunroom roof seal shrinking and causing the sun-room drains to clog. They replaced under original car warranty (5 year or 50,000 mile). Same issues happened recently. Took car back in and they said they seal needed replacing again and no longer under warranty ($800), even though it previously happened and they "repaired it". Car has been in for all regular maintenance. According to maintenance paperwork, it receives a multi-check inspection. I asked them about this inspection and why it never caught the shrinking seal, which according to Volvo is a known issue. No answer. When I asked if I was going to have to replace this again in 3 years, was told there is a 1 year, 12,000 mile warranty and seal should last 5-6 years.??? Not true as I replaced it 3 years ago. Not happy with service and will NOT be coming back her for regular service, when other options are available. read more

I would like to share a very unpleasant incident that happened to me and my family at Volvo Cars West Springfield. I am extremely upset, and this situation has caused me emotional and mental pain. On Monday, April 27, in the evening, when I was driving with my child, my Volvo had two flat tires. I was very scared by what happened. Volvo Roadside Assistance towed my car to the dealership I'm writing about. Our insurance for new wheels, which I changed just 3 months ago, includes new tire coverage in certain situations. The woman at the reception who took the car from me promised that she would do everything possible to speed up the replacement process. However, she completely ignored me after that. She didn't answer my calls and was very dismissive. I have personally visited the car dealership several times. Each time, she told me that she didn't know anything yet and that I needed to wait 3-4 days. She kept repeating that the request was in the "pending" status, but did not provide any real information about my car. I stood there holding my baby in my arms and asked if everything was okay, but she ignored my questions. I also asked if I could rent a car to visit a doctor since I don't have transportation. She didn't help. After three days, there was absolutely no progress. I was extremely upset and emotionally exhausted. I took the keys and headed for the exit with the baby in my arms. When I left, the woman at the front desk representing the Volvo dealership "used profanity." I hope my experience will help others. No one apologized to me. My new go to for problems and maintenance on my favorite car of all time--my 2013 Volvo CX60 is Fathers and Sons in West Springfield. The caring and service is exemplary--especially from Susan, the Service Coordinator. Not only do they pick up and deliver (thank you Dimitri), offer a loaner car (an Audi no less), and even WASH my car before delivering it back to my home, but they respond to concerns with a "can-do" and "will-do" attitude, even when there is something that i have to decide whether or not to pay for. Their labor costs aren't cheap--it's a dealership, but that said, they fixed things that weren't even on my list--like adding power steering fluid I needed, and doing a recall on a seat belt I didn't know I needed. That is service. he On my list were re-programming the electronic for messages on maintenance and key batteries. They fixed e, but then, after I got my car back, it seemed to go back to where it had been. My hatch didn't open and close automatically anymore--a problem recurring in Volvo's evidently. They didn't fix my hatch opening--because we didn't agree on the problem and I didn't want a big investment ($1100) in something I knew hubby-dear could fix cheaply, and, actually it started working better, but not all better after they looked at it twice. But they did try--twice, and didn't charge for the second look at my request. I was a little disappointed with the first try, but they made good by taking it back to correct the programming--again. So, they will be my Volvo go to, and I will, whenever I want to save hubby time and effort, pay them for what I need. Except for the hatch thing, this Volvo is almost maintenance problem-free. Compared to other makes of the same calibre, I am glad I have it. And I am happy to have Fathers and Sons in my list of vendors I trust. Thank you Susan. read more

Purchased two cars from Dmitriy who was extremely helpful with both cars. Car number one the deal couldn't be beat and was more than fair not only in the car price but also in the trade in value that we were given.Delivery of the car was delayed but not because of anything the dealership did, it was all the DMV because of the pandemic. Second car purchase was a lease. Again Dmitriy and Norman, the sales manager, worked with us to give us a fair price on the car as well as a good trade in value. This car was a lease so they worked with us so that we could get the vehicle sooner which was very much appreciated. Overall we were very pleased with the customer service and the attention that was given to us. Dmitriy spent as much time as needed to explain all the features of both cars. Being first time Volvo owners there was plenty that we needed to know. So far we are very pleased with both cars and feel we got plenty of value for what we spent on both cars. Would definitely recommend Father's and Sons and especially Dmitriy if you're looking for a great vehicle. read more

Service desk person very knowledgeable and helpful. Mechanics do flawless work and get it right the first time. Note to owner: FIX A/C in waiting area and showroom, too hot to wait inside for car repair. Also, get a comfortable couch or reclining chairs to make customers comfortable while they wait. The little petite Swedish chairs are not comfortable. Change the music. seems like the same 5 or six songs playing over and over and over and over. read more

If I could, I'd put a 0. In August (7 months ago) I had an immobilizer on my Volvo s80. It was towed to this dealership as they were the closest to the car. They replaced the computer to the tune of 2800, and then the car starting throwing codes. None of these issues happened before they serviced the car. Check Engine/Brake/alarm/power steering/etc all started after their service. I brought it back 2 days ago for a serpentine belt, which they charged 737 for. Online this repair costs $350 max. They also told me I should fix 5 other things to the tune of $4000. It has been to a garage I trust within the last 2 weeks and none of those were issues then. Hmm. They then repaired the belt without my authorization and wouldn't release the car. Good luck if you go there, no attempt was made to rectify the situation after repeatedly calling the shop. A total of 6 calls and 4 texts were made, and I got 2 callbacks, several hours later after they performed the unauthorized service. read more
