I've dealt with O'Reilly's in general and in this store for a few years. In general, I've found…read moretheir parts and batteries to be as good or better than some other stores, I won't mention battery plus, here, as they're a minus in my book. Nationwide chain that honors what I buy in Georgia anywhere in the country. Most recent experience was my car battery died. I rarely have had a battery just up and die. Usually it gives you the standard warnings of tired, a bit slower cranking and signs the battery is getting weaker. Wouldn't crank Monday. I thought I hadn't driven it enough to fully charge it. When I did get it started I headed to the first choice of O'Reilly's to buy a new battery charger as my old one had just about had it. 10/50 amp charger $58 bucks. I didn't think I'd need it for a while but better to buy one now than be stranded and need one. Fast forward from Monday to Wednesday and the car won't crank again. Took it in again and the battery is bad. Now get this. The battery had a three-year free replacement and the warranty expired on that Sunday. So, Monday buying the charger was one day out of Warranty and today was four. The manager honored the warranty and replaced the battery free of charge. If not, that'd be like a $165 for a new battery. Even installed it for me. So, my faith is good service from this company is confirmed by this act which was up to the manager. While I don't buy a lot of car parts, when I do, I will be returning to this store or the O'Reilly chain in general. All in all, I thought that O'Reilly's automotive as "fair and balanced" when they handled my dead battery problem.

While I appreciated my warm, friendly service advisor & the focus on a pleasant environment overall…read more- I still came away without having my problem diagnosed & was rescheduled to return here in another month! After conversation with my service advisor, I have a better idea of what could 'possibly' cause this oil consumption issue (1qt of oil per 1K miles), but BMW of Macon didn't perform the N63 Oil Consumption Settlement diagnosis I set up several weeks ago and fully expected to get today. What I did leave with was a $563 bill to replace my battery ($253 parts, $243 labor + $46 shop parts), so my 'Complimentary Multi-Point Inspection' wasn't quite complimentary except for the car wash! Again - great atmosphere, but I walked away having to return a month later to do what I waited 2 weeks to have done yesterday. BTW: I was informed that (instead of going back to the mileage when I originally brought the car in to get it checked) any mileage I add to my vehicle in the interim COULD cost me more out of pocket for this future repair.

I called to schedule to have my air conditioning issue diagnosed. The wait time was nearly 2 months…read morefor a loaner vehicle. I was quoted a diagnostic fee of $200 by the centralized scheduling representative. I called back 2 weeks ago to confirm that the diagnostic fee was $200 total because I was surprised with an unexpected diagnostic fee earlier this year AFTER returning to pickup my car. I received a call from BMW 4 days ago stating that my oil change is also due, although I have 1700 miles before the actual service is due. I declined the premature oil change, but I did ask to have a vibration diagnosed. I also asked the representative to provide the exact and total fee for both the AC and vibration diagnosis. I was quoted $200 for BOTH services. I repeated what I heard and asked if it was $200 for both diagnostics. I was told that the quote was correct. I attempted to do my due diligence to mitigate any issues with BMW Service Department. I went in this morning and was immediately quoted a diagnostic fee of $275 for the AC and $200 for the vibration. My "diagnostic" fee went from $200 to $475. I left without ac repairs after 2 months of waiting because they were not honest about their prices before the repairs and there was no compromise on the new prices. I was prepared to pay for the necessary AC repairs, but I certainly did not trust that they would be honest with their pricing after making the repairs due to the drastic diagnostic fee increase upon my arrival and my last experience at this dealership. I contacted the scheduling department to find out why I was quoted $200 for diagnostics. I was told that the manager would call me back around 8am, but she did not. I called back after noon and was told that she would call me back. My husband had also left a message for the service manager around 8am, but no one called him back either. I finally received a call back from the scheduling manager around 5:15pm stating that she and Ron, the service manager, had decided to change the way that they schedule ac repairs in the future because the scheduling department is not always aware of the prices. No one apologized for their error. HOW DID THIS BECOME A PROBLEM FOR ME, THE CUSTOMER? HOW DOES THIS RESOLVE MY ISSUE WITH THE PRICE I WAS ORIGINALLY QUOTED? WHY DID SHE FAIL TO OFFER A FAIR AND REASONABLE RESOLUTION TODAY? She also stated that Ron informed her that they had offered to waive the $200 diagnostic fee earlier. I informed her that I never spoke with Ron and no one offered to waive any of the fees. Basically, I was left without a resolution and without AC repairs because BMW representatives did not exercise basic customer service skills and were not fair and honest. My husband and I made plans to purchase a new BMW next month. I would prefer to buy local and I still have an affinity for the BMW Brand, but I will not patronize The Butler Group because they have proven many times that they do not care to have our business. Thank you for providing ANOTHER less than favorable BMW experience!

Stopped in because I had a blown fuse and my trailer brake lights weren't working…read more It took 20 minutes before I could get help. When I finally got to the counter, the woman behind the counter had zero interest in helping me resolve my issue. Wouldn't help me locate the fuse, wouldn't search other stores for said fuse, and didn't offer to special order the fuse. Then I asked questions about trailer connector test light, and she kept trying to sell me a multimeter, which wasn't what i wanted. I left empty handed. Auto Zone helped me immediately and took care of it, so all good.

You guys are awesome, wonderful people…read more This past Thursday the sweetie and I were headed to Florida. Finally I was going to get warm! Round about Macon the car started running hot so we mapped an Advance Auto 3 miles away. At that point we thought we probably just needed some coolant. Once we get a good look though (I'm saying "we" but I really just sat in the car yelling out helpful comments to the sweetie under the hood) we can see that there's actually a hole in a radiator hose. Not wanting to spend the next hour fooling with this in the parking lot we asked the AA employees for a recommendation for a mechanic. They pointed us to Raffield's Goodyear down the road (see scathing review). Raffield's didn't pan out so back to AA it was. My poor sweetie, in the 90 degree sun, took the hose off (which is much harder than it sounds, there was a lot of swearing and sweating involved) and goes in to try and get a replacement. Even better, the AA employee cut the holey part of the hose off (it was right near the end) and we were able to just pop it back on. Easy-peasy (says the woman that was only yelling encouragement and NOT doing the work). One of the employees even came out to check on us. Thanks guys for the help!
