When I placed my order through the AI system, it didn't recognize or understand the request for extra dry rub on the side. No problem -- I figured I'd just clarify at the window. When I got to the window to pay, I asked the worker (training) if I could get some ghost pepper dry seasoning on the side. He told me his manager said they no longer do that and that they don't have containers for it anymore. I was honestly surprised because this has never been an issue before. If there was an extra charge for it, I would have gladly paid -- it's not about the money, it's about the willingness to accommodate a simple request. To make sure I wasn't misunderstanding the policy, I drove to another Popeyes location on Dillingham (same franchise owner), and they had absolutely no problem giving me the dry rub on the side. No pushback, no excuses. It's frustrating when one location can't accommodate such a small and reasonable request, especially when another location under the same ownership can. Unfortunately, if the Kapahulu location can't handle the smallest customer accommodations, I won't be returning to this one. I'll just take my business to the Dillingham location instead.
