The pharmacists here at this location are just amazing! Peter and Christina make sincere efforts to get to know their customers and offer valuable information about your medication if it's new to you. I never feel rushed why asking questions about my medication or recommendations on what preparation I need to do for flu season Additionally, they make sure I'm up to date on all my vaccinations, including the Covid-19. Sometimes it's funny watching Vons shoppers walk by the pharmacy and yell out to Peter and/or Christina to say hi or vice versa. AVOID, especially the deli section. They charged my card multiple times but kept telling me that the payment wasn't going through. I got yelled at, repeatedly, by an old lady wearing an apron. She pointed at me and accused me of swiping my card wrong. Her exact words: "IT'S HER FAULT!" Sheesh. A manager eventually came. Also rude. Turns out the mistake was on their end because they rang it up wrong on their system. Later found out they charged my card multiple times like I suspected. Von's is great. The Pharmacy WAS great. I don't know what happened but those poor pharmacists and assistants are running around like mad. Why are they understaffed? Something is certainly not right with the way they are provided this pharmacy with the ultimate care and staff needed to take care of their patient properly. I see those people behind the counter running around and sweating and it's really sickening that they have to work under pressure as they do. Who is the damn corporation that decided to cut their staff? That company should be fired. This is truly an inhumane shame. read more

I recently received a package that I did not order from Vons Instacart in Torrance on Crenshaw and Lomita and it was charged to PayPal which I did not authorize. I have repeatedly answered the same questions from Customer Support but they have not taken care of the problem and they locked me out of Instacart. Somehow Walgreens notified me of the delivery too and they are not even owned by Vons. Vons admitted the website was having problems that day but they have not responded. read more

The dirtiest deli ever. And it isn't just an off day that the staff was having because I've experienced uncleanliness on multiple different occasions. This time I decided enough was enough and took picture as proof. As you can see below, there's a tray sitting on top of the entire potato wedges section! The bottom of this tray has touched countless counter tops and who knows what else. Also in the photo, barbecue mixed in the chicken tender pile because they use the barbecue equipment to grab things that aren't barbecue. HOW IS THIS OKAY? the very 2 thing I wanted I couldn't get because of this. And unfortunately I will not be eating from this Vons ever again, I prefer to drive out of my way to attend one that cares more about customer satisfaction. read more

BEWARE of their "30% off Wine Sale." Total bullshit. Basically normal prices marked up 30% to some random price (I saw one that ended in 14 cents) then back down 30% to the price they actually want to sell at, usually ending a .99, of course. I felt totally duped. I want to file a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission or someplace. Vons / Safeway / Pavilions is now banned for wine for me. The store manager at this store is rude and not professional at all. We went to this store last week and the person I was with had a face shield on and the store manager said that wasn't good enough. She told him she had a medical condition that prevented her from wearing a mask so he said he wouldn't help her and she had to leave. She call the Corporate office and spoke to the district manager and he said he was sorry for this and she should have no issues with her face shield. She went back to the store this week and the checker in the middle of the transaction stop the order and said she didn't feel safe helping her without a mask (she is still wearing a face shield). She asked for the store manager and when he saw her he was rude and wouldn't help her. At this time the young man bagging the grocery had no issues helping her and the lady she helps, but the checker told him to stop helping them. She goes to this store because her job is to help an elderly lady who cant see really well go grocery shopping. This is the lady's store she likes to go to. My Tia offered to stand away so they can finish her order. Well the store manager ranted about his employees safety not one person was cleaning the check stand or verifone. This is sad when the store is now only accepting certain mask and not allowing people with health conditions to wear an alternative mask. I work with people in a similar setting and I would never treat my customers like that. This is truly upsetting and I hope Vons takes a good look at how they are treating their customers. I like this Vons - it's HUGE. It is a hybrid in that it has everything you could want: Starbucks, RX department, Florist, Panda Express, Wells Fargo ATM, and expanded food sections with an array of choices. It's NOT worth shopping at Vons if you don't have a club card, or are not a member of Just-4You coupon program. The California market is very competitive, and the overall pricing at Vons is 'average' relative to other food stores. What I really don't like is the way that the tags suggest a particular price, but after you read the fine print (4 font) you realize you needed to buy 2-4 units of that selected item to get the special deal. I was happy to find a bottle of wine I liked, but when I got to the register the checker told me I needed to buy 4 bottles to get the price I saw, a little deception in my eyes, so BEWARE, read the tags very carefully. The store workers are all very nice and there is plenty of parking, as it relates to the typical Vons food store, this is as good as it gets. read more

This Vons has the absolute worst customer service from top to bottom. The Starbucks inside has the worst employees out of any Starbucks I've ever visited and I've been to hundreds. These guys hate their jobs and have the worst attitudes towards customers. They close at 8pm but don't try to order anything after 7pm. I was told they couldn't make coffee at 7:15p several times until I asked the manager if this was standard practice. It was not. A week later a different employee told me they were closed at 7:30p. A straight bald face lie. The hours were the same. After asking the manager if the hours changed they offered to make my drink. Wtf/smfh When I attempted to inform the supervisor how their employees were treating customers, the supervisor couldn't be bothered and couldn't care less. Horrible. read more

Bad meat from there yet again. My husband bought boneless skinless chicken breast yesterday with a sell by date of today. Opened it up tonight for dinner and it smells really bad. This isn't the first time we've gotten bad meat from there. It's close by the house, which is why it's always a quick stop on the way home for dinner stuff. Cashiers are rude and have no people skills. Typical of unionized labor that practically can get away with anything because they're protected by their collective bargaining agreement. I believe this store has eliminated their "box boy (or whatever the politically correct term is these days)" position. So not only do they force you to bring your own bags or pay for theirs, the cashiers struggle to bag everything. Lastly, how does a retail store of this caliber, not have portable handheld price scanners? If you have large items (such as a case of bottled water, do food, etc), they require you to lift it out of your cart and on to the conveyor belt to ring it up. This seems real efficient. If you don't do this, the cashiers rudely tell you they need the items to scan. Might as well just shop of Wal-Mart. Similar service, cheaper prices. read more

Vons gets another negative review from me. I had an employee literally stand there and watch me while I decided on eggs. There were several cases that had broken eggs and I kept going through till I found a good bunch. You can tell the display was picked over. You'd think that someone would have checked to restock or at least fix the section. Other areas of the store looked nice. When I walked away the employee followed behind me. While ringing up groceries, I politely asked the cashier to type in my member number. Although they disinfect the pad often I did not want to touch the keys on the pad during the pandemic so I asked him to type it in for me, but he was not paying attention and I had to ask him three times. He also started taking groceries from the next person and ringing it up onto mines and adding it onto my bill. WTF? Also, can the worker in the frozen foods section mind his profanity when cussing out loud for other customers to hear. I'd rather hear nice background music, not his vulgar profanity. read more

I have been ordering delivery groceries from this Vons for about five years now. They do usually run out of items that were on the list, they have forgotten to deliver some of my groceries (once all my refrigerator and freezer items were not delivered). They are good about reimbursing your money but they won't resend items that they probably left on their truck by mistake. During COVID though they have really fallen short. At the start of it all you couldn't even get a date for delivery, they wouldn't book past the current week. I gave up and started going to the store, even though I am up in years so a higher risk factor, but what are you supposed to do? Recently, I tried to order again and was happy to see that they were better with their delivery dates. I scheduled a delivery time and ordered my groceries. On the delivery day, no one showed. When I called they said they had no way to contact the driver (seems odd this day in age) and just keep waiting nothing. I e-mailed Vons in the morning inquiring about my order and they replied that "Due to unforeseen circumstances my order had been cancelled." Really? Is that how people do business these days? Where is the integrity? People want to hear, "Sorry about that, we'll get that order right over to you and waive the delivery fee." Very disappointed in their customer service or lack thereof. read more

Just stopped by for great customer service from Diana B. The bakery manager along with bakery specialist Marciel. Very beautiful display case with their cakes and tasty treats. Also bought a few things and received excellent customer service from Shophia front end cashier. The store manager was also a delight to talk to. Clean, friendly and was out in a timely manner. I write this review, hoping that no one else has to experience what I experienced. My name is David Boyd. I was going in for my second covid vaccination. I frequent this store often. I was hoping that my memory would serve me correctly in regards to the busy times at the pharmacy. When I arrived the pharmacy was very slow. I thought to myself. My memory has served me correctly. No one was in line the phones weren't ringing off the hook. I approached the pharmacy counter. And was meant by a young gentleman. I advised him I was there to take my second vaccination shot. He asked me for my insurance and ID and handed me two forms to fill out. I did what I was instructed to do. This took 20 minutes. I then waited another 10 minutes standing there. Then was asked to sit down in a room and wait for him. After waiting another 20 minutes. I got up, advised I needed to use the restroom. The restroom visit took 5 minutes. Upon my return from the restroom I noticed that the pharmacist assistant had taken in another patron into the room I was asked to sit down and wait. I noticed the young patron had his arm sleeve rolled up and he was ready to get a vaccination or a shot of some sort. This was really concerning to me as this young gentleman was not there when I was present at the pharmacy the whole time I was waiting. So in a doration of 5 minutes of using the restroom. Another man came up and was very nonchinately brought in paperwork filled out and ready to take a shot in less than 5 minutes. If this doesn't disturb anybody else other than myself I'm writing this in vain. read more

I've been coming to Vons for years! Like literally my whole life. And I was very displeased today, as a customer whose been coming here for years I was disappointed that as I was waiting in line for the meat department they closed while myself and another customer were still waiting. And it's only 6:55pm. I work at a store/market myself, always on a closing shift, so I know how it is. At my store we never close while customers are waiting, even if a customer is pulling up as we're about to lock the doors we will still help them out, because we understand how it is. And it was rude that as we were waiting in line neither employee informed us that they would be closing b4 we were served. Highly unprofessional. read more

I come in here pretty often for my grocery needs. This Vons is run VERY well. The store is always clean and everything is pretty well stocked. The employees are usually pretty nice as well. I'm always in and out of here in a good amount of time. It's also nice to see they brought the self check-out back. It was gone for a little while due to theft. read more

I have been shopping here for over 20 years. Since the pandemic service has become afwal. Yesterday I was charged 14.00 for 1 green pepper. Lucky, I had saved and reviewed my receipt and discovered. I needed to waste gas, drive back and resolve. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS. Auditing the checker can be challenging while trying to make sure they pack your items correctly however this will now be my practice. read more

This 5 star review is for the Pharmacy. Peter and the pharmacy staff do a excellent job of providing pharmacy service to their customers. They provide great counsel on prescriptions, communicate extremely well and always have the customer's best interest in mind. Although they are very busy, they're very patient and answer all questions. They even administer a wide-array of vaccinations which is helpful. My family is concerned over the impending strike and hope the parent company can work out an amicable contract with the pharmacist staff as they are deserving. read more

Came to have lunch at Panda. As I was sitting down, a tall white middle aged man who appeared to be the cart retriever was talking inappropriately about customers to another employee. He then started to clean up around where I was eating and pushing in the chairs around me for no reason. The gentleman eating next to me left his area clean. The rude cart retriever states to the other employee eating her lunch, while looking at me "Man, I can't believe some people, I wonder how their houses look if they eat like this." I've been coming to this Vons since I was a kid. Over the years, it has been remodeled and it has definitely helped business. The new renovated market is HUGE! Huge selection of produce, large aisles, easily labeled, and it is always kept clean and organized. One major plus is the Wells Fargo bank inside! Although there is a Wells Fargo across the way in the crossroads center, it is pretty convenient! They include a florist, pharmacy, and even a Panda Express, if that's your kind of meal They also have a postal office where you can drop off your mail or send out packages I personally didn't use either service, but instead I used their fax machine (mine broke) for a cheap price of $0.20 I would say the produce is a bit pricey, I rather go to the farmers market or even whole foods considering prices are about the same, but prices are pretty average compared to most. Being a club member is DEFINITELY a benefit, I save anywhere from $5-$15 a visit being a club member! Totally worth it, and no fees to join! Local and close to home, will definitely be coming back as usual! Oh and it's open late until 1AM for those late night visits! read more

Went there tonight 10/18/2021 around 9pm to get some stuff including milk. They only have 1 stock of the milk that I wanted and its all the way UP and all the way at the BACK of the fridge. So I looked for someone who works there and I saw this woman. Shouldve gotten her name but shes so rude. She has black hair, brown skin and probably 5'4. She's talking to another customer so I just PATIENTLY stand beside her. She looked at me and I looked at her. So she knows Im waiting for her. She then went to another aisle with another customer and I followed her. She did the same thing. Looked at me and ignored me. I am so pissed that I just walked away. I then went to the front to see if there are any other workers out there to help me. But then I saw this rude woman now sitting at the self check out with her phone. We made an eye contact and she looked back on her phone. I then saw this cashier; she looks so young. Shes short and skinny with long hair and shes so sweet. Shes really friendly and helped me grabbed the milk. I shouldve asked her name so I could put it up here and also that rude womans name. Btw, after I got my milk I went to self check, to where shes at. And she told the other customer "Thank you. Have a good night" but not to me. So I left and said "Thank you for your help. I really appreciate you!" to the young cashier. If that rude girl is one of the supervisors I pity this store. read more

This is the second time that we have had to deal with a very rude Cashier named Tamanika at Vons in Crossroad plaza. We tried to explain to her that on the Vons App we had reward items but she said no you don't or it would of taken it off the bill. Either way she didn't have to be so rude.
