Such a cool looking spot! Never been before. Got a cool photo in the chair outside! I ordered the Grape Ape, Miami vice, Portland Cream, and Voodoo Doll. The Grape Ape had vanilla frosting, grape dust, and purple sprinkles. I was worried dit would be too much of a grape taste but it wasn't overwhelming. It was tasty! The Miami Vice I believe was just vanilla icing and had a dusting of blue raspberry sugar and pink sprinkles. I did not taste blue raspberry unfortunately. The Portland Cream is filled with Bavarian cream and topped with chocolate and decorated with a set of Voonilla frosting eyes. I really liked this one! The Voodoo Doll was filled with raspberry and dipped in chocolate frosting. It is poked with a pretzel stake through its heart. This one was food. I took the pretzel off. Personally I thought they were on par with Dunkin Donuts. They have cool flavors and unique items but taste wise it get weren't that different. read more

Let me preface this review by saying I am not one who has too much of a sweet tooth. I will have dessert here and there but it isn't something I find myself craving let alone indulging in often, however; there is something special about this Voodoo Doughnuts. Yes, there can be (and often is) a wait/line but I will say it usually moves rather quickly, sometimes you can also use the Universal App to mobile order as well. I personally enjoy going inside to order as you can see the rotating doughnut case displaying both their regular and seasonal/special offerings. I am a sucker for a limited time special so I regularly find myself trying those offerings. That being said, you will never catch me leaving Voodoo Doughnut without a Vegan Voodoo Doughnut. I don't know what it is, but I find the vegan version far superior to the original version of their iconic/flagship offering. Annual Passholder's don't forget you do get your AP discount here. So I guess this place is more about the experience than the actual flavors. I'm not sure. I visited on a random weekday night while in town for work and they were probably about an hour till close so as you can imagine they had sold out of a lot of options. I was thought of just trying a basic chocolate frosted doughnut. Wow it was delectably soft there wasn't much to say for the flavor. Perhaps if I had been able to order one that added a little more like the peanut butter or the Oreo I would've enjoyed it more. Getting in at 8:30a was so much easier than what we'd seen the evening before, with folks grabbing doughnuts to take back to their hotels. I loved my cake blueberry doughnut. Also devoured was a sprinkles doughnut, apple fritter, and not so Boston cream doughnut. We've got great local doughnut shops in Louisville and this competed with them. The PBJ donut is iconic and my absolute favorite. I hadn't had one in years, so before starting our park day we stopped in to grab coffee and donut. It is exactly as I remembered it! Perfect, peanut forward, texturally diverse! Yummy!! The kid got a captain crunch monstrosity that they happily gobbled with a quickness, and an Oreo creation that they abandoned halfway through. They are very large donuts! Still good next day / day after, pop in a microwave for 10-12 seconds and you're good to go. They literally will knock you out with sugar levels skyrocketing haha so more of a now and again treat for our group. Literally eat ONE and pass out shortly after. I was curious to see the style of donut, they more like Krispy Kreme texture or Dunkies, i would say more like dunkies style. Good night, flakey, not too heavy or dense. I had to check this place out while at Citiwalk! I have heard about it many times and decided to go. Normally we do not eat Donuts but here we are! Very interesting decorations inside and an amazing variety , something for everyone! We ordered on the app thinking it would be super busy but it was. Ot, there was no one at the counter waiting and I had to get some pens attention from the counter and ask how to get my order I prepaid for. I would say timing is important, as the line here can get rather long. They do have an online order option where you can pick up your donuts across from their store at a kiosk which is convenient. As for the donuts, there were many options from your typical donut flavors to more creative designs and flavors. I personally ate the blueberry cake donut, which was yummy. My youngest ordered the purple donut since it was "pretty" and she wasn't a fan of the donut hole. If calories matter to you, be aware that some donuts will take half or more of your daily intake of calories, but hey, they are donuts! **INITIAL REVIEW** Despite the fact I've been to Voodoo Doughnut (which I will shorthand simply to Voodoo for the remainder of this review) many times, I have not taken the time to review the iconic doughnut shop located in Universal CityWalk until now. With that in mind, I have experienced a many mom n' pop doughnut shops since, and in comparison, I will say that yes, Voodoo is excellent, but a lot of the experience is its relationship to Universal Orlando. As mentioned earlier, Voodoo is located within the heart of Universal Citywalk, the shopping/party "downtown" in between the Studios Amusement Park and Islands of Adventure. Since I haven't been to Epic Universe yet, I am unsure if Epic's entrance is also within CityWalk, too. On the outside, Voodoo fits the overall theme of Universal whilst adding their aesthetic personified with their name. Imagine a color scheme, presentation, and ambiance of New Orleans culture, especially Louisianna bayou and voodoo troupes often used in small and silver screen productions. That's what you get with Voodoo, as in dolls, skulls, coffins, and the like. While waiting in line, there is a rotary display showcasing their doughnuts (possibly fake) of the day. They have a wide selection of the "normal" doughnuts most other doughnut shops have, as well as their specialty doughnuts made with that Voodoo aesthetic and theme. As for me, I got many doughnuts from them over the years, but I will always remember my first time with the orange creamsicle, gingerbread man maple eclair, and their voodoo doll bavarian creme eclair. Pertaining to the cosmetics of the doughnuts, fantastic and unique. As for flavor, excellent too. However, I must stress that overall, the flavor of doughnuts are just as good as some local mom n' pop doughnut shops I have been too. For example, their regular menu of doughnuts are comparable to donut shops like Mr. Donut in New Port Richey, Kim's Donuts in Titusville, and Yvonne's Donuts in Palm Bay. Their premium donuts are on par with donuts shops like Dixie Cream Donuts in Port St. Lucie. If I really want to be honest, Luke's Dixie Donuts in Jupiter are superior than Voodoo. And to top it off, all the doughnut shops I compared to Voodoo are cheaper than them. So yeah, I will give Voodoo their recognition, but be assured that a lot of the price you are paying is in its name and location. read more

They have a wide variety of donuts and they have an adorable giant donut chair up front for pics. The line was long but they were FAST! Also, the butterfinger donut was good. I like that they had a turntable with a replica of all the donuts that they have, this made the ordering process really smooth and made for quick service. I didn't count but they have a wide variety.
