As a Miami girl, I've loved The Salty Donut since the early days, so when we were in Orlando, stopping by felt like a no-brainer to support a spot from back home in the 305. The donuts themselves? Still great. Unfortunately, the service really missed the mark. There was a Chick-fil-A employee who ate her Chick-fil-A breakfast and was then hanging around the cashier area chatting with her friend who worked there. I stood there for several minutes just trying to be acknowledged so I could ask for a knife, only to be told they had none available and had been out for days. Bummer for me cause I'm the weirdo that likes to eat my donuts with cutlery. I normally don't mind employees being friendly or social, but customer service should still come first. Hearing the salty employee loudly go into detail with her Chick-fil-A friend about how their breakfast gives her stomach issues was not my idea of a good experience. Love the brand, love the donuts, but this experience was disappointing.
Honestly a really good gluten free donut! Especially since it's Oreo and gf people know that's hard to find. I think it's rotating flavors so will definitely have to check out the seasonal ones.
The key lime pie donut was so good! And their coffee is always good too. I appreciate that the employee gave us recommendations and told us which donuts were leaving soon so we knew which to try.
I have been going to the Salty doughnut on the other side of Orlando for years and always love it, but today at the regency village location it was a bit of a miss. Though my coffee was fine (a bit too sweet) the service really lacked. This is my first time going to this location and although they had at least 3 employees working and no other customers in line the staff ignored me for a few minutes before ordering then as soon as they put in my order walked away to chat with other employees before scanning my app. Then after waiting 5 mins to scan they just walked away to chat again. The location was nice but the restrooms were not clean. I just think the staff can pay a bit more attention to detail. I'll continue going to the other Orlando location but probably not this one.

My wife had the cookies and cream vegan/gluten-free doughnut and she said it was an 8 out of 10, which is great. The overall vibe in the place is more transactional than friendly or positivity (environment and hospitality 5 out of 10): no greeting or offer of assistance nor call out of name, even though it was given. All good though, as the product is definitely high-quality.
Looks like The Salty Donut has moved up to Orlando from the South Florida area. They opened a location by the hotel we were staying at off I-Drive. Went in to get coffee and a few donuts for the kids. This location is super clean, simple decor, and organized. They usually have the donuts laid out right next to the register along with the labels for each item. But they also have a glass case for viewing with trays of each donut flavor. EVERYTHING WE GOT: * Brown butter & salt cake donut $4.50 * Butterbeer donut * Traditional glazed donut $3.95 * Pistachio butter latte iced coffee $7.50 I wanted the hot coffee, but this pistachio butter latte only came in an iced coffee option. So opted to try this instead. I also have a Salty Donuts account so they were able to pull up my number and apply it towards my account so I can get points for free items in the future. Rack up those points! The lovely cashier gave us our donuts and we waited for my coffee. We cut each donut in half and I took a bite of each one to test it out. I have to say the glazed donut was my favorite out of the three we got. The glaze was still a little too sweet for me so I took off most of the glaze and the doughnut itself was actually light and fluffy and quite perfect. I would be happy with just a plain donut and no glaze. I wonder if that's something that they can offer? The butterbeer donut was way too sweet and the brown butter & salt cake donut was too dense for my liking. Got the pistachio butter latte and it did a great job on the presentation. Coffee was good but a little bit sweeter than I'd like. Still good. Overall, a very nice space, good quality donuts but also expensive and a little too sweet for my liking. Coffee was good but more like a dessert too. Ha. Still, I really loved the flavor combo of the pistachio butter with the crumbled bits on top and pistachio paste lined around the cup. Nice touch and just a beautiful presentation. I wish they would lighten up on the sugar and sweetness level on these donuts as it can be too much!
Sad that I have to drive all the way across town to Dr. PHILLIPS to get a donut from The Salty Donut. The space is huge and lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The only downfall is that there was only one employee holding down the whole store. She was taking orders, making drinks, and still baking and cleaning in the back. They definitely need to hire and train more people. And pay her more for being the only employee holding down the fort. I got the guava and cheese donut and pistachio butter latter and both were delicious.
If you're into donuts that give off a more gourmet dessert vibe than your local Krispy Kreme or Dunkin', The Salty Donut is one of those spots worth checking out while you're in Orlando. These are inventive, creative, chef-driven donuts that combine unique flavors like brown butter with sea salt and guava with cream cheese. You can get something a little more classic or a bit out there, depending on your mood. Inside, the donut shop is cute and relaxed. They also have a coffee menu with lattes and the like, which is a no-brainer to incorporate into a donut store. I have never tried the coffee here, but it does usually smell quite good. I stopped in for the donuts and couldn't resist sampling their signature offering: a brown butter with sea salt flavor sweet treat. My donut was good but not great, which was a letdown considering the price. These donuts definitely skew on the pricier side, which is kind of nuts when you consider the ingredients are mostly yeast and oil. The yeastiness of the donut was appealing, but it did taste like the dough was fried a little too long in oil that wasn't hot enough. It wasn't greasy, but it wasn't as light and fluffy as I was expecting either. The oil at least tasted fresh and not old, which is a big turnoff when it comes to most other donut shops. Here, the hype doesn't live up to the cost. Service was professional but not exactly friendly and warm, but I guess it doesn't matter that much when you're just grabbing a donut to go. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back to The Salty Donut, but I would still give them another try if I'm craving a dessert while visiting the area.

Super disappointing experience at this location; I ordered 10-15 minutes ahead of time for pick up, as I was in a hurry. I came in, and there was no one ahead of me in line. I told the first staff member who greeted me that I had a placed an order for pick up. He was checking for the order, and was talked about having problems with the ordering system. He printed it out, and as he gave my drink order to the barista, she said loudly, "this JUST came through." I was a little taken aback, but didn't take it personally, and he began to bag my pastry items while she was working on my drink. As I was waiting, I heard her say loudly again that the order had JUST come in. The other staffer corrected her, and explained that the ordering system had been glitching and the order may just have come through but it had been placed earlier. She still seemed irritated, and at this point, I was too. Although I had placed my order over ten minutes prior to arriving, I hadn't expected it to be immediately ready but regardless of when the order was placed and when I arrived, I don't understand why she didn't just make the drink instead of complaining--either way, I ordered it. I'm used to good customer service at the Audubon location, so I'll probably avoid this one in the future.
An amazing donut and coffee shop, the Salty Donut serves a variety of delicious donut flavors. Due to its proximity to Universal they serve a yummy butterbeer flavored donut in addition to their other flavors like toasted coquito. I recently tried the yuzu matcha and pistachio cannoli which were both very good. They also do a lot of seasonal flavors and collabs! We actually went recently for their limited caviar event where they sold a brioche and caviar bundle. So definitely keep an eye on their socials or sign up for their newsletter. This location is within a bustling shopping center so there's plenty of parking. The interior is very welcoming with a decent amount of seating. I could definitely see myself hanging out here with some coffee. The staff here are always very nice! Like some others mentioned they do sell out later in the day so something to keep in mind if you're planning a visit.
I've had the salty in Atlanta several times but never in a Florida and the change in flavor profiles reflects that. A toasted coquito donut?! I knew I had to get it and it did not disappoint. My son love the mango glazed donut as well and my coffee was just what I needed to get my vacation day started. The line was a little long and we had a short wait but it was a prime tourist location area and lots of people are on the area. Super glad I got to taste the flavors and I'm sure I won't get the opportunity to have the same choices when I return home.

My order was delivered so I can't speak to the actual atmosphere, but the service and the donuts were top notch! We ordered the Guava, Tres Leches, and Flan Donut. You read that right, FLAN DONUT. It has a whole single serving flan inside the donut. They were perfect little treats and the merengue on top of the guava donut is so silky and flavorful! The delivery was supposed to be for 4:30 and wound up not arriving until around 5:10 which was pretty frustrating given the fact that it was a scheduled order that was placed around noon. However they came through and the donuts are great. read more

I remember going to the original Salty Donut in Wynwood back in the day, so when I found out there was one up here I figured I should swing by. I remember falling in love with their maple glazed bacon donuts. My mom and I stopped here today and were saddened to see they didn't have them on the menu. I ordered a Pride donut and a Iced Matcha Latte with Vanilla flavoring. My donut was pretty good but it wasn't anything spectacular. My mother who is more basic than adventurous when it comes to trying food got a glazed donut. She mentioned that it was good but she felt she could get the same qulaity with a Publix glazed donut and did not feel the need to drive 25 minutes to get this donut again. She also got a Chocolate cake donut for later. I thought the matcha latte was pretty decent, but that's about it. Also, this establishment does not handle any cash. This is a new local restaurant that opened in the area about two months ago. They offer a variety of year-round donuts, seasonal flavors, sandwiches, and other artisan-style breads that all look delicious. The staff member who took our order and prepared our coffee was very informative and friendly, taking the time to explain their most popular donuts and the different types of specialty coffees they offer. The coffee selection is excellent. I tried the Coquito Latte and it's sweet and flavorful, perfect if you enjoy sweeter drinks. They had a commercial shoot underway when I arrived, so they gave me donut holes to accommodate for the inconvenience (and it was totally fine, but a great gesture). The butterbeer donut was perfect. I loved this place! I have to start coming here more often! They had so many fun donuts, and so many food options to choose from! I only tried the hashbrown bites from the food menu, and then the gluten free chocolate chip donut and the brown butter donut. The apple butter latte was my drink of choice. NOTHING FAILED ME! I was surprised by every single item that I tried, and now I am excited to go back and try more! The employees were so friendly and helped me choose which donuts I should try, and they did a great job! I highly recommend the pistachio cannoli type donut, & the coquito hot latte; they're excellent. I liked the gluten free chocolate chip donut because it was sort of rich, like a Bundt cake, moist. My least favorite was the vegan apple. It was big & good, but needed more flavor, more applesauce, & the texture was bread like; it'd make an excellent sandwich if filled. LOVE the new space. Nice, clean, open space. They ran out of the coquito donut I wanted. They ran out about 2 hours before closing time to make sure you come early if you want to try the coquito or pistachio donut. I went with Butterbeer and it was delicious. Very airy for a donut, not too heavy. Filling was delicious, overall a bit sweet but I did enjoy it. The coquito matcha latter tasted more like an eggnog matcha latte but delicious nonetheless. I visited The Salty Donut for the first time, and it was such a pleasant experience. The place was quiet, with nice easy-listening music that perfectly matched the cozy vibe. I ordered a latte with maple and brown sugar syrup and oat milk -- it wasn't overly sweet and paired beautifully with their donuts. Lovely! I tried the "Everything" cragel, and wow -- it had a nice salty kick while still being fluffy and soft like a croissant. I've never had anything quite like it, and I'd definitely order it again. My latte and pumpkin roll were also a great combo. The pumpkin roll looked like it would be super sweet, but it was actually just right -- pleasantly balanced. I know some of their donuts were sold out already. It means I must come back again to try them. The staff were wonderful -- the lady who made my drink was so friendly, and the gentleman who served me was kind and polite. I really love their authentic donuts and pastries paired with such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The shop is also clean and well-kept, with a convenient self-serve water faucet -- very efficient! Super bummed they were out of 4 of the donuts I came here for and they weren't even close to closing yet. In my opinion they should still have a lot more donut options and not run out of so many donuts already! Came in the afternoon, they got 4 more hours until closing time and I made a special trip just for the Coquito, berry cheesecake, butter beer, banana milk, and key lime but they only had the Coquito. They were also out of the butterscotch crunch but I didn't desire that. Online said they have the berry cheesecake and key lime but it also seems like their website isn't up to date either though because it has only 1 Orlando location for the menu but they actually have 2 and drop down link doesn't work effectively Coquito donut was indeed good but turned off from the lack of donuts that it's not worth coming back again. I heard everyone's disappointment after me when they had to wait they're out of all the donuts they wanted! I was so excited for this location because it had great reviews for donuts and lattes. The location was easy to find and parking was convenient. I love the fact that they offer different varieties of donuts and flavors. I tried the iced coquito latte w a little more sweeter as well their salted chocolate chip donut. I was disappointed in the latte and donut. The latte was overhyped and the donut was dry sadly. The service was great by the staff and was very helpful but the food and drink missed the mark. 2026 and Yelp still doesn't do half star reviews, but I give this place a 4.5. There's a few outdoor seats and the inside is nice and trendy. What you'd expect from a modern bistro. Side note, while I didn't buy any gear, the shirts felt really nice quality. The service was not the best, but not the worst, as others have said. It was almost self service at the order counter to be honest, I had to go up multiple times to ask for things I needed (milk, sugar, ketchup) because I wasn't offered it at the order counter and they don't supply those things at another counter area. However the barista was super nice and accommodating so I think it evened out a bit. I think it's a training issue, or just have a milk and condiment counter somewhere. The donuts were good, not the absolute best, but the custard on the Boston creme was spot on, not too sweet. The best part was the eggs on the farmhouse sausage breakfast sandwich. It was light, airy and had great texture which indicates good cooking technique. I would definitely recommend. I do agree the prices are a bit high for what you get which prevented the 5 stars but that's the world we live in now. Overall a good spot and I would come back. read more

I have never not been disappointed by this place. I love the original salty so much however, this new store is not the salty. The people there are not kind. They don't know how to interact with the exception of the one Spanish woman that works there who is very nice. The experience is inconsistent because it doesn't seem like the people managing the store know how to manage it, being sold out of something at 9 AM is a little ridiculous and if you're so out of something don't advertise it. I've given this place, so many chances but I think I'm done. I will just hike it to the old salty. Do yourself a favor. Spend the 20 minutes and drive to Winter Park. This new salty is not worth it. read more

If I was just reviewing the donuts it would be 5 stars cuz wow I got the Easter special of the Cadbury crème egg and carrot cake. I can't pick which was better because they were both amazingly delicious. Had to stop myself from inhaling both at once. However the pistachio cream latte which is part of their monthly special was horrible. I had two sips and threw it away, there was zero sweetness to it, and tasted like soggy pistachios swimming in milk. Just horrible. I was also incredibly disappointed because I wanted to purchase a t-shirt, was very happy to see the display shirt was my size, however when I went to buy it I was told they were out of my size and they wouldn't sell me the display shirt. So they lost out on a sale. Ambiance is very nice, very spacious and bright in there, much larger and brighter than the Audubon Park location. read more

The girl at the register was helpful and informative. The place is decorated nicely and has plenty of seating. The location is great with lots shopping to do after a coffee and donut. I had the coquito matcha ($7.00) and it was amazing. The coquito milk adds so much to this specialty drink. The pistachio cannoli ($4.95) is a great portion. It taste amazing. I will say the cannoli filling is only at the ends and not all the way through to the center. The filling, the little bit there was on both ends, tasted great. Last night I had the great opportunity to try this new location. It was splendid. I decided to try the Apple Crumb donut and the coquito latte. They both were delicious. The latte was sweet and rich. The apple crumb donut was very moist and just the right about of sweetness and smooth texture. The service was great! The manager Alanis was very helpful and gave the backstory of the entire company. I loved the location the atmosphere was very modern and clean. It was great for meeting with friends or doing work. Love the place and I will definitely be back. That's all. read more

This location has the sweetest and coolest staff, I genuinely would come to this location because I know the service is genuine (: As expected the sweet treats and drinks here are nothing less than perfection! I ordered their seasonal Apple Butter and Teddy Graham Cold Foam Latte and wow what an amazing combination! There was actual pieces of Apple Pie filling IN the drink which was surprisingly a delicious addition that made this drink one of my new favorites! I also got the Coquito Donut (which is thankfully a year round flavor) which had all the elements you'd want in a good sweet treat, truly my favorite menu item! (They also have Vegan options!!) My go to donut spot in Orlando. So many flavors to choose from too! What I liked about these donuts is that they're very indulgent but don't make you feel heavy and sick after eating due to the fluffy and light texture. Their coffee is also extremely tasty as well. Very clean establishment with tons of outdoor and indoor seating. Perfect place to bring your laptop and do some work while relaxing and eating/drinking amazing treats. read more

It's a little on the pricey side, but perfect when you want to treat yourself, your friends, or your family.
