Great bartender's but lack of them
    Mary M.

I must say this venue was packed! The ROCK GODS CONCERT was absolutely incredible My friends and I had a blast for sure BUT we all was so disappointed in the lack of bartender's for the amount of people at this show. The lines to get drinks were out of control. The money this place could have made of fluids if only they had the staff.. To the bartenders that was working (4) great job. I'm sure it wasn't easy and again Thank you for all your hard work!!!!!! Hands down

    Keke Wyatt Concert

Went to see KeKe Wyatt, I was on time. The seats were a good view ofvthe stage but they are not made for sitting long term. About 1/2 way through my rear end way very unhappy. The seats were very poor quality, my better half says the bar was over priced. Now the sound quality, the sound man had the background drowing out the singers. It wasnt until the headliner called him out that the issue was resolved. Now the opening act Datruth Band was great, I would have paid to just see them. They were professional and local to KC. I will not speak on the other acts as they did not move the needle. The head liner did not come out until 10:45 and the concert started at 8:00 pm. When she (KeKe Wyatt) came out finally. Her vocals were amazing and personality was inviting. The issue I have is she asked the crowd to often to sing vs her singing (which is what I paid for) it was a mother day gift for the Mrs. Well here is the kicker and it was timed as she took forever to come to the stage . Keke Wyatt was only on for 37 min. When she said yall have a good night i ambthinking who is yall? We are not going anywhere because you just got here. I wish she performed longer with less audience interaction. So can she sing...absolutely put her performance leaves alot to be perfected.

    girls just wanna have fun

Lighting on point, sound was killing it, bands were crazy fun some even really good. I really just wanted to dance, and so I did. It was almost a variety show of performers. The DJ knew his stuff, the drinks were strong and staff were decent human beings. Dare I say even nice. Some casinos the staff can seem really uptight because security has to be. So I'm really impressed when casino staff are able to give off a good vibe. It's a good sign when staff genuinely seem to like their jobs. It makes me feel comfortable and wanna come back. I was loving the upstairs lounge, couches, and tables. Also provides some birds eye view to some great people watching. At one point I wanted to check out the casino but once you leave you can't get back in unless you pay again and a drink bought at the casino I couldn't bring into Voodoo which is inside the casino. Also this place has been around for awhile and I'm just now hearing about it? Ah well, I still had a good time. Thanks Voodoo;)

Last night was my 2nd visit to see a show at the Voodoo Lounge at Harrah's Casino, the first time was about a decade ago. That seems strange because I attend about 20-25 concerts per year. They just don't seem to book a lot of shows for my demographic or taste it appears, which is sad because I like this venue. The space is well maintained and has good sound. Two bars and a few tables on the main floor with a large area in front of the stage for standing. This is a mid size venue that would be on the same size capacity as The Truman, The Madrid, or Knuckleheads Garage; just the right size for a fun crowd and still be able to get up close and personal with the performers. Another plus is that parking is free and safe and there is food and drink options on site with gambling or a hotel to make it a complete night or weekend destination. I just wish the booking agent would call me and ask what shows to bring in so I could attend more often.

I really like Mosaic because it's a nightclub with trendy DJ's, a great outside patio that overlooks the KC Live! block and lively dancefloor (usually started to heat up by 10-ish). And because it's in the Power and Light District, it feels safe to me (compared to other nightclub locations in the city). I have had good experiences with the crowd there and haven't felt uncomfortable or out of place. What I don't like is the cover - it is typically $20 which is steep for a Kansas City club. I try to go on the earlier side and/or for special or ticketed events where the cover is waived or the cost feels more "worth it." Last time I went the drinks weren't anything special (typical club mixed drinks, beer, etc.) but that's what I expect from a nightclub. And I think they do try to improve their more specialized cocktail offerings. I would suggest taking an Uber/Lyft to PNL or street parking in the North Crossroads and walk over. Otherwise you'll have to pay to park in the KC Live Garage. The KC Live Garage is located at 151 E. 13th St. The garage is operated by Towne Park and has 1000 parking spaces and is equipped with electric vehicle charging station.. Event parking $15, monthly parking $75, hourly $4/hr with max of $25, evenings and weekends $3 with validation or Power & Light customers.

I foresee a re-branding in the near future. Anywho, it's not my investment money. I came with a group of co-workers on a Saturday evening last week for some socializing. This involved food for everyone but me since I arrived late and had already started my pre-party elsewhere - and why kill a good buzz!? I did arrive in time to see the food delivered and consumed and the burgers and loaded fries did look excellent. We started on the patio and moved inside for more drinking and to play pool. The place has all the standard attractions that a suburban bar & grill would have. Pool, video golf, sports on TV, a good speaker system, tons of neon bar signs and waitresses in skimpy outfits. Speaking of waitresses - ours was named Kylie and she was a hoot. A natural for the customer service industry. Funny, efficient and friendly. Would I go back? Sure, next time for food and hopefully Kylie will be our server again.

When we got there, there was a huge EDM/light show going on. In order to get in we would have had to have paid $11 and then once the concert was over, an additional cover for each bar. We decided to wait on the outskirts on a part of the balcony which was perfect for us. We were able to get into the actual district and made our way to Angels Rock Bar. The exterior presents much appeal and left us wondering what the interior might look like. The rock and roll vibe that it shoots off into Power and Light is strong and drew us right away. Also, the line wasn't terribly long, which rather than concerning us, only made us happier to go in! The cover was $5 which I don't find to be bad at all because typically things in such a hopping area are pretty steep. The drinks were priced how I would have expected. I never like paying a ton of money at bars but it's somewhat unavoidable. With that said, the drinks were generously poured and the bar wait wasn't too long. The stage was a blast and there seemed to be plenty of room for my friends and I to hop up! The only thing that would have been nicer would have been heavier air conditioning, but I can see where that might not have even been helpful due to the amount of people in the joint. It was open until 3 AM and we stayed until about 1:30 AM! We had a great time and it definitely made for some good memories!
