We always have the best time at shows here! The only thing I wish was for more parking nearby!

We are so lucky to a venue like Knuckleheads and all the varied music we can hear. So glad it's standing the test of time.

We drove from Cincinnati for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a favorite artist perform. It was a particularly special event for a very special friend. We arrived early and gathered in the Gospel Lounge Stage, objectively the most interesting of the stages. It was great to have time to look around look at the extensive galleries of rock and roll memorabilia. The concert was on on the Saloon Stage. On stage it was just the performer and her guitar. The sound was fantastic, perfect even. This room was covered with signed photos of performers that have graced the stage. Not quite as interesting as the Gospel Lounge Stage, but pretty impressive nonetheless. I wish Kunckleheads wasn't so far away because it's a fantastic concert venue!

Always fun times at Knuckleheads. Kansas City oldest live music venue. There is usually two different performance each night. Purchase ticket online or at door. Cash only for drinks.

What a venue! In the middle of an industrial area that'll have you wondering if you took a wrong turn. Then you arrive and know that things turned exactly right. Indoor/outdoor vibe with a roadhouse feel throughout. Great sound, right next to train tracks, it transports you into a world of only the band you're hearing and the people you're with. The singer (James McMurtry) and this venue are a perfect pairing. So were the throwback beers ($2 Hamm's!) and surprisingly good gin and tonics! I came here to see James McMurtry, who rocked, but after seeing the show here I'd come back here just because. Great vibe, great night!

Came here there other night for Danny Cox's birthday event. My mentor describes this place as "honky tonk" and it truly is. Really like what they have going as an outdoor event space. Those should be a part of some Kansas City experience.

This was a planned night out that we were genuinely excited about. My husband was removed from the venue for "swaying" a few times on the dance floor. That was it. No aggression, no disruption, no intoxicated behavior, no confrontation. He has severe knee issues and was simply shifting his weight while standing and enjoying the music. Instead of checking in or handling the situation with any kind of discretion or compassion, security immediately escalated it and kicked us out entirely. It was humiliating, unnecessary, and completely ruined our night. We lost our VIP experience, the show we traveled for, and the money spent on tickets and lodging. There was absolutely no attempt to understand the situation or treat us like paying customers. This could have been handled in a respectful way, but it was not. Unfortunately, we will not be returning, and I would caution others that security here seems overly aggressive and unwilling to use basic judgment. A night that was meant to be fun turned into an awful memory. Side note: We did not drive , we took uber to and from hotel. It was an expensive evening-RUINED! Also , I googled voodoo lounge after we got back to hotel and the aggressive behavior seems to be a trend of theirs. Something needs to change. We had a lady directly in front of us thrashing about and spilling her drink ALL OVER THE FLOOR and she was left alone. Made zero sense.

Even walking in, we weren't quite sure what to expect. The entrance is small, and you're greeted right away, which was a nice touch. Once inside, it's very dark with deep red lighting--almost like stepping into a cave. It took a moment for our eyes to adjust, but once they did, we immediately felt at ease. The space is cozy and perfectly aligned with its purpose: it's all about the jazz. The service was great--welcoming, attentive, and added to the overall experience without taking away from the music. And the music? Absolutely captivating. It pulls you in and transports you--you can't help but settle into the vibe and just enjoy the moment together. We went on a Monday, so there was plenty of seating, but I noticed there's also a lower level that likely accommodates larger weekend crowds. There's a solid drink menu and a small selection of food, but honestly, this isn't the place you come for a full meal. Come for the drinks, stay for the music, and soak in the atmosphere.

But they don't just do pizza, there is an array of sandwiches, burgers, and of course their famous wings (beware of the Death Wings, like, REALLY beware). The kitchen is pretty much right in front of you and pies are getting slung constantly. That Rockin' Red sauce has that rich tomato base and it goes perfectly with that toasted crust flavor that only a pizza oven can provide. Toppings are seemingly anything (I'm a sucker for fresh mozz & meatballs) and while one slice is enough for many, two is just a sweeter spot. Beer on tap flows with local, regional, & known brands. The drink menu is pretty lengthy and beers will rotate with the seasons. If you're unsure on what you want, then your friendly server is very likely going to give you some good options. The whole place seems to be held together by stickers & customer 'art', so it gives Grinders a divey atmosphere but delivers a five-star product. Parking is Crossroads, pricing is reasonable but the value is far more than the price point(s), and there's a reason this place gets national exposure. It's that good. And if weather allows, then eat out back. Underrated KC patio.

It has this typical theatrical staging for an auditorium with all the seats facing the same way towards the stage, which is framed by an arch- this setting also has a fancy name - its called  Proscenium Arch ( pruh-see-ni-um - I had to ask google how to pronounce it ...lol)It is a non-profit theatre !!!!  Wow!
