If I could do -5 I would. Voss is the place where the customer is in for a zero sum game and they are the target. 13 year customer and to see the decline over time is a real disappointment. The last two adventures have ended this customer relationship and I hope can serve as a warning to lower your expectations - you could be next. I am on a work assignment across the country and our home is being sold. We needed our car in the garage to be moved - but you guessed it. Battery which was less than one year old was dead. Auto zone has affirmed that both the starter and Alternator work fine - it was a bad battery. Since I am in California i can't handle the situation in person so I call and speak directly with the service advisor and give them my credit card and I am assured that they will ring up a replacement battery for my family so when I am next in Ohio I can return the old one for warranty coverage. Does that happen? 5 minutes later this team ignores the calls, the credit card info provided from this long term customer and they require my family to Purchase a battery and then require further that they hand over the old one - and rather than test it for possible warranty coverage discard it like they do the decency that once accompanied customer relationships. So now I am out two battery purchases which should have been covered by warranty because they cannot communicate among their own team. Further right before I left for my work assignment they tried to shake me down to fix an alleged oil leak for $5,000.00 on a 2019 XT5. That's odd, still haven't put in any additional oil and a separate independent mechanic has no idea why the costs would have been so high - other than they thought they could. Be wary, hide your wallet, and you may want to consider a different Cadlilac dealer as these folks have lost their way. read more

I do not recommend this dealership to anyone. I had over 7k worth of work done to my vehicle in California in regards to an oil pan leak and a few other costly things. A year and half later I was told by an oil change company that my car may be leaking oil but they weren't for certain and to just get it checked out. Also needed brake work done. So I took it up to Voss which is normally where I take it when I'm in the area. They would not give me a loaner, stating they couldn't AFTER I requested one with my appointment. They told me that once I got there. Fine. I drop the car off and pick up a rental. After 4 whole days I heard nothing. So I called. They told me the technician had no time to look at my car yet. Mind you, I'm paying for a rental and no one communicate any of this. I requested to speak to the manager Mara. (Useless by the way). She provided me with every excuse and defended the way they operated. 3 hours later they call me with an estimate of over 6k worth of working telling me I have an UPPER oil pan leak and that my previous work wasn't under warranty and that I needed my entire braking system repaired. Something about this didn't seem accurate. So I picked my vehicle up and took it to another Cadillac dealership. The technician was extremely blunt and told me my vehicle doesn't even have an UPPER oil pan just the lower one that I had previously repaired and that my car was not leaking oil it was just a spill from previous work. They put dye in my oil and tested it for a leak but they had it a couple of days and drove it around. Also told me they could repair my brakes without needing all new everything. My total came out under $600. My car has been running perfectly fine since. They also provided me with a loaner car. I reported this to the better business bureau and their response defended the entire ordeal. It's unfortunate because I did over 10 years worth of business with them and prior to Mara being the manager, it was all amazing experiences and they were extremely knowledgeable. Now, I would not trust them. They lie, they have no experience in what they're doing, they're unprofessional, and untrustworthy. Do not trust your vehicle in their hands. Their business practices do not match their mission. I will never return there again. They say a business is only as good as its leader and Mara is an awful leader. The people above her as well. I will continue to go to the Cadillac dealership I'm with now (I will not mention them at this time) where they're honest, professional, and trustworthy. Under zero circumstances will I ever return to Voss Village Cadillac. Yes, I do have both estimates in writing and I'm currently working on what can be done about it. I do not want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. read more

Didn't fix my AC properly after an accident. I had to take my XT5 to another body shop to get it fixed.

They quoted a price for repair over the phone. The actual cost was well within this range. When it turned out that they didn't have a needed part for my older Cadillac, they gave me options on how to proceed, instead of leaving me waiting. Good communication and a very welcoming staff. read more

Purchased a used CTS, the sales person (Tyler) looked me straight in the eye and said if anything is wrong just bring it back in and we will fix it. Of course, I found a couple little things wrong and took it back but Tyler would not honor his word, the only reason I gave a 2-star is because of Dan in service who was most helpful, however, when I told him the oil indicator said only 50% he said maybe they just forgot to reset, but of course when I picked up the car it was still at 50%, so I have no idea if it wasn't reset, has a faulty indicator, has an oil leak, or my guess wasn't even serviced!!! read more

In May of 2011, I took my 2006 Cadillac STS into Voss Village Cadillac's Service Department in reference to a Grinding noise that I briefly heard while making a turn. I wasn't able to reproduce that noise, however, it was obviously not normal and didn't want it to progressively get worse. I called Voss and set up an appointment to have the car dropped off in the morning. I dropped the car off and my wife took me into work. I received a phone call more than midway through the day from the service department indicating my oil level was low and they wouldn't be able to preform the needed test drive due to the oil level. Simply adding oil was apparently not an option. It wasn't due for an oil change and in that car, an oil change runs just over $120.00. Due to the difficulty surrounding dropping the car off and picking it up with our schedule, I agreed to the oil change to have them test drive the car. I received a phone call just before they closed indicating my car was done and could be picked up. I was advised they could not locate any problem with the car. Unfortunately, there was no way possible for me to make it to pick up my car before they closed due to the time of the call. I never planned on leaving my car for a second day but had no choice. I made arrangements with a co-worker to drop me off Voss Cadillac Dealership to pick up my car. I met with the service employee who I had been dealing with and reiterated that they could not find any problem with my car. He took my keys over to the cash register and I followed to pay for the services. I was charged for the oil change and a significant charge for the diagnostics that turned nothing up. After I paid the bill, the employee handed me my keys and pointed out the door indicating the car was ready. As I walked out, I was looking at my bill and really not paying any attention to my vehicle. I entered my vehicle and drove back to work. Upon my arrival, I exited my car and began to walk away. I hit the alarm and looked back at the car for the visual tail light flash indicating my car was locked. In doing so, I noticed my car had a large dent in the trunk. Upon furthered inspection, my car was riddled with dents from front to back. I immediately called Voss and spoke with the service employee. He advised that all of their cars were damaged by a hail storm. I have always known Voss to keep customers cars locked up inside their service garage over night in the event the car gets done at the end of the day and the customer can't make it in. The employee told me that the damage that occurred to my car in their lot was no different than if it happened in the lot of the Dayton Mall. I park it at my own risk. Upon advising him that I don't turn over my keys to Mall staff, I was simply advised that they had no liability. The damage to my car was just south of $10,000.00 and was repaired by Jeff Schmidt Cadillac in Beavercreek after paying my $500 deductable. I strongly believe, from a customer service standpoint, that I should have been made aware of the damage that was caused to my vehicle while parked at their lot. They should have offered to pay my deductable and comp my service I was there for. At a very minimum, tell me, don't hold my keys hostage until I pay my bill and direct me out the door. Very shady business. I later learned from a co-worker that they moved customers cars out to make room for their XLR's and other new high dollar cadillac's knowing the hail storm was closing in on Dayton. I did call GM who opened a case into the matter. Less than a few days later, they closed it out saying I was out of luck. I will never do business with Voss again and will be hard pressed to purchase a GM vehicle again, let alone a Cadillac. read more

I took my 2014 with 40,000 miles in because the touch screen froze. They never called to tell me anything so I called them. $1100 repair that I declined because it's a common problem with the car. Excessive price. My car also locks with the keys in it and they keep telling me that it won't. They have sent a locksmith twice to get my keys out. I would never take a car there, for that matter I will never buy a Cadillac again. I should have known better. read more

Do NOT buy from Cadillac. Period. I've purchased GM for 20 years and they do not stand behind their customers. I broke down in Michigan and had to leave my car there in order to get home. (Mind you this is the second time my new SRX has left me stranded out of state...radiator problem last time that they wouldn't cover...still under warranty) My local dealership, Voss Village Cadillac, wouldn't give me a loaner car because it's not being worked on in their facility. After speaking with Mara Jones, the service manager, (I called three times begging for a car) she informed me it's not protocol. I told her she is representing Cadillac and should do what is right. After all, I bought a Cadillac to have the luxury car experience. She responded that she doesn't work for Cadillac, she works for VOSS and doesn't answer to Cadillac. Keep in mind the vehicle is still under warranty. You would think since Cadillac inconvenienced me, a long time customer, they would spend at least $30 a day on a rental car to keep the customer happy however they refuse to do that. I then call customer care and they informed me the dealership COULD offer me a loaner vehicle if they wanted to as it is always up to them on a case by case basis. Cadillac won't be getting any future business from me. Being in the service industry myself, I always find a way to make it right with my client even if I'm not the one at fault. You would think they would have better solutions than just to say sorry it's out of my hands because "that's how Cadillac operates." read more

Did not honor our appointment...said they couldn't find it. Told us tho they would be able to get it in the next day. We had to call them to be told it was in "working" status. Called 10 minutes before closing only to be told they didn't do anything with it. Don't bother making an appointment, they are understaffed. Also, did not call us once with a promised update...I guess because there were not any updates to give. Didn't even think to let us know that they wouldnt be able to get to it...they are closed on Sunday so must have figured we didnt mind not having the car on Sunday or Monday. Did not meet expectations, wasted our day where we could have taken it elsewhere to be fixed. Poor customer service in general - not worth my time or money. read more

My experience was terrible. I took my CTS in for an ignition sticking and running rough periodically. They told me they couldn't replicate the issue with the ignition, though I told them it didn't do it every time. I also have an extended warranty that has no deductible. So, after them having it all week, they said it was a solenoid issue. Yet, they were saying it would cost me $232 for the repairs. I decided that I would discuss it with the Service Manager when I picked up the car. So, when we sat down with the Service Manager, she said she would check with the owner to see if they could do anything about the charges. She said he agreed with her on not writing off the charges. So, since they decided to charge above what most dealers charge hourly, you will have to pay the difference. And after we talked to her, and my boyfriend said he worked at Nissan, and her husband works at Ford. He was asked at work, for me, to not give Cadillac a bad review, or more like her (the Service Manager) a bad review...as if my boyfriend's job was on the line if I gave a bad review. Well, Voss Cadillac, I can tell you nothing was about Customer Service that day. As far as I am concerned, you have lost a customer, and gotten a bad review. read more

Well, so far not very impressed. It seems they are not well organized. Please let me explain... Pulled the car in for a 10:00 a.m. appointment on Wednesday, 4/10 for a "check engine light" issue and they did not have any loaners available until Friday so stressfully been using the wife's car. The 46k mile check was coming up so it was agreed to have it serviced now, which would take another day. Got it! Called yesterday for an update and was told everything service related was done except the "check engine light". Called again at 12:30 for an update, but "out to lunch". No return call so called back later to find out it needs a $250 gas sensor for check engine light, but they were still working on 45k services, which early they said were already done. Not sure what to believe anymore, but today is the 3rd day that they have my car so stay tuned. Wife is not happy and we all know that saying. read more

I was looking to buy a Nissan Xterra in white. After searching online, I finally found one at Voss. Being over 4 hours away and from out of state, I was unable to come in and look at the vehicle. Both Pete Tousignaut and Paul Martin went above and beyond to make sure to answer all of my questions and to have everything ready to go when I got there. I bought a used car from this company "as-is" but I had transmission work done right after I bought it to the tune of approx 1,600 dollars. I came back and let them know something still isn't right so a service tech rode in it with me and stated that what the car was doing was inherent to that model. So I drove away feeling something wasn't right. I have been driving the car trying to trust what he said. Fast forward to now, car started running hot (had to tow it 3 times) and I found out from another dealer that the transmission is causing the car to run hot...so repair for that plus head gaskets will be 5,500. So right now I can't take it on the highway and I can't ride with the a/c on.Contacted dealership used car sales and was told there was nothing that can be done on a car that is "as-is" I am going to research my options because saying a car is "as-is" doesn't automatically get someone off the hook. Last but not least, this dealership has been reviewed on other web sites so I am not the only one! read more
