While the building appears beautiful, and the amenities are great, Greystar runs this property incredibly poorly. In my time at Vox, my heat, AC, and dryer have all broken and taken longer than one month to repair. The AC broke in the middle of summer, and it took Vox over two weeks to provide portable units, and a month to fix the buildings AC, and it required months of calling Greystar corporate to get any kind of rent break as an apology. My Ethernet port in my apartment is broken, and Vox refused to fix it. Smaller repairs frequently take longer than a week. In my first week, my apartment had an ant infestation that rendered my unit uninhabitable due to loose baseboards. The building refused to pay for a hotel room and decided to not bring in any exterminators until their regular site visit two days later. Additionally, since a new on site team took over, the building has increasingly pinched pennies. You can't have more than two guests in a common area, or the building will charge you the rate for exclusively renting out the common area, which can be easily over 1000 dollars, despite the common areas being massive spaces. Say goodbye to family birthday parties! They are now taking away parking spaces that are in residents leases if the resident doesn't have a vehicle. While I get the need to make more parking, taking away something promised in the lease with no compensation is shocking. Additionally, there have been serious safety issues at the property. A resident in crisis patrolled and the building and threatened others with a knife and hammer for over a week before the building put out any notification of a safety issue. The only reason my partner and I knew was because of a building discord, which the complex monitors. The building finally put out a warning and a stay in place notification when the resident threatened a staff member and chased him with a knife. Multiple vehicles have reportedly been stolen from the garage, which does not have any cameras, and frequently has a broken gate, making it significantly easier for thefts to occur. The bike room has also routinely seen break ins during my time here. Fire alarms, due construction in the retail space, poor design, and frankly size of the building, are a routine aspect of life at Vox. While this has improved since the buildings opening when it was a near daily experience, it is still a problem. Your door lock can simply run out of battery, without an alternate means of entering the unit. If that happens outside of business hours, the building a) does not call the emergency on call maintenance tech and b) instead brings in a vendor from the valley, which I was quoted as would take approximately two hours at 10:30 on a week night. The only reason this review is not a one star is the amenities and location. The gym and dog park are phenomenal. read more

Vox Residences looks nice, but the parking situation is a major problem right now. There has been a big spike in break ins and tire thefts, and it is happening way too often to ignore. Several cars have been hit and residents are getting fed up. Until management takes real steps to fix the security issue, I would be very cautious about moving in here. read more

Loved this business service is amazing! The inside is very nice and well cleaned up and maintained!

The maintenance team at Vox Residences is amazing! They respond quickly, are always friendly, and make sure every repair is done right. The building is well-kept and clean thanks to their hard work. Highly recomme read more

To add on to the on going list, VOX has been forcing tenants to pay unexplained electric bills. There is NO resolution to the on going & growing issue. +15 units mostly on the 6th & 7th floors have been hit with these bills. Our electric bill was average $160 & suddenly it is $1,500 which they said if we do not pay we will be given a late fee & risk eviction. They claim a 3rd party vendor will come out to check the meters (there's no date planned for them to come out) but deny us to see the meters ourselves. This has been going on for two months & more units are experiencing this issue. Update: Recently on Yelp VOX's responses claim that someone from LADWP has come out & the meters are "fine" but clearly there is an issue if many unit are being charged thousands of dollars for one month electricity all starting at the end of July. Some Tenants were not living in their unit at the time these electric bills occurred. At the leasing office they say the opposite- that they're still waiting on someone to come out & check. VOX reached out to me on here but refuses to answer my emails which all of their management addresses are CC'd to so this all for them to save face on Yelp. They do not care about the tenants. If you see a five star it is usually from someone who toured or a team member that lives on site. As always the loud outdoor speakers that go on from 8am-9pm (if they remember to turn them off), lack of security, fire alarms, & lack of enforcement on this being a nonsmoking community are an on going issue. read more

Extensive amenities, friendly staff, lots of events. The only deduction is for the rent cost, thin floors(can hear upstairs) and the jacuzzis can be a tad dirty from time to time read more

Be wary of this place. They incorrectly withheld money from my security deposit and as I tried to settle my dispute they turned my account over to a collection agency. DO NOT RENT HERE. They have so many great events. Great community. I really love this place. Also so many amenities and pet friendly!

i would give 0 stars if possible. this building was terrible and the management team was inept/unhelpful/RUDE. they'll give you the run around and no one will ever get back to you. living in this building felt like being scammed. just save your money, time and the heartache. tenants are always moving out. please live here if you want to experience the following: -dog urine/poop everywhere -homelessness around the building -fire alarms going off at all hours including 2am and the early morning hours -police showing up every week -no warm water and heat for weeks -dirty gym that smells terrible and has poor ventilation -grills and bbq area that never work -mass emails with wrong information about rent payment -dirty elevators that are full of dog urine, trash and spilled food -dirty and unorganized mail rooms where you cannot find anything -disruptive construction from new retailers on the 1st floor -dirty lounge areas and rooms that smell like body odor -loud noises from hvac and vents in the building. seems like there's no maintenance done here at all. -loud guests and delivery drivers in all of the common area asking to be buzzed in and disrupting residents -terrible maintenance team that barely know how to fix anything and will waste your time read more

10/10 experience with Nile. We loooove her events. She is an all around human being and a pleasure to be around.

loved this event and had so much fun!! we definitely need more like this to able to see what businesses are in the area. likewise i enjoyed the prior cumulus event! read more

Just moved into VOX, and I have nothing but good things to say. Although there are minor issues here and there, the staff and leasing office do a wonderful job at addressing them as quick as possible. The units are quiet and neighbors are mostly friendly and respectful. read more

Maintenance comes by very quickly! I just had to put in a maintenance ticket and the ticket was answered in less than 24 hours by Ernesto. He helped me with my issue with the bath tub being clogged, and was able to explain how to fix it if I ever encountered this issue again. read more

It's so difficult to get an answer from the VOX team. They made a mistake on our billing (this is like the 3rd time) and tried to overcharge us for an extra parking spot when we only have 1 that should be free with the unit lease. On top of being an extremely unsafe place to live with lack of security and street takeovers every other week, VOX management is extremely negligent and also give attitude whenever residents bring up any issues. read more

I had an awful experience with Vox from start to finish. Incompetence from the leasing office lead to a months long effort to get back money I was owed, management is completely unresponsive, utility bills seem made up and are way to high, fire alarms consistently ruin a nights sleep, and the revocation of guest parking is a nightmare. Greystar is an awful company set on maximizing profits and nothing else, and the poor concierges and support staff take all the brunt of it. The final straw is the $300 in cleaning and repainting fees charged after move out when I left the apartment spotless and in better condition than I left it, with video evidence to support it. It feels bad being taken advantage of by a big company with absolutely no recourse available. read more

I love this community and all of the residents here are really cool but the putrid smell of dog urine in the back turf area is UNBEARABLE TO THE POINT OF GAGGING. Pros outweigh improvement needs imo Pools, hot tubs, work spaces, rec spaces are all great to use. These community spaces are wonderful and so are the events that the staff host for us. The concierge and front staff and agents and maintenance staff are all great, helpful people who are kind to residents! Location and access to most everything is great! A couple areas of improvement: - Investing in some deep carpet cleaning for heavy traffic areas near elevators or stairways would make a huge difference. The building can only stay as clean as the residents' own efforts, especially those with pets. - Having guest parking would be a welcome addition! read more

I love living at VOX ... there are so many amenities, it's so peaceful and the staff is attentive and always there to answer questions. I have lived in so many buildings where the staff are never there or don't get back to you. Also it's such a luxury in this part of LA or just in LA in general to have ample guest parking. Im pretty picky with the level of interiors I expect and this place is pretty new and nice. I feel comfortable living in this community and the location is great - I can get to most parts of LA in 20 min or less. Also we got so many free weeks moving in which is great! Four stars as I wish the other residents were better with cleaning up after their dogs. Not a fault of the staff or building. read more

I have lived here for almost a year, and while the building has great amenities, the customer care is awful. I've raised complaints about the Wi-Fi in the office space not working at least 10 times over the past few months, yet the issue remains unresolved. As someone from overseas, working space is top priority for me, and this situation has been incredibly frustrating. The leasing office staff spend their days on their computers, seemingly doing who-knows-what, but resolving a problem feels like climbing a mountain. I wish they had the same level of "calmness" when it came to collecting rent! If you are considering moving into this building and expect to use the working spaces, please think twice! 01/10 - Update Finally, I must say the manager has taken serious action to resolve the issue. Let's hope for the best... 2 stars for now. read more

I'm following the Yelp Star Guide and putting 2 for VOX. It could've been better... What VOX offers in amentities is definitely top-notch, but the management is another story. The property is beautiful but I have never seen a property deteriorate, diminish and depreciate as quickly as VOX, which is surprising because it's a brand new property. There is a lot of issues but none that personally affected me but the recent events have called me to action into writing this review. In any business, transparency is vital. In a successful business, the customer experience is important. From that aspect, if you read over all the reviews, it's clear to say VOX is not and will not be a successful business. VOX puts more focus into the appearance (illusion) of paradise. There are fake profiles and management creating Yelp reviews and skewing the data. There are responses to the reviews asking us to email the property (by the way, don't reply to me Community M.). Still, there are records of multiple emails which summarizes "You signed the contract". Please drop the facade. They're taking advantage of our tolerance of BS. Greystar should be politicians with their way with words. Since moving in, minor incidents that break trust through small lies have definitely built up. From the fire alarms to the elevators. There is a normal amount tenants will tolerate in any other property but there is a line to it. None of these reviews are from tenants who are too sensitive or overreacting. It is an accumulation over the last year. There are more tenants for all of Greystar than employees. We know that Greystar is being/got sued by another property and were removed, and a group of us want to explore this option. This is how desperate we are and the extent we are going. We want to treated for the amount we pay to live here. read more

My husband and I stopped into the Vox today and was greeted by Vicki, who was an absolute dream. From the moment we walked in, her welcoming, bubbly and courteous energy is a HUGE selling point for your unit. Of course the place sells itself but what makes the place is the customer service. Vicki was so sweet, so accommodating and so opened to us and we felt like we were touring with a friend. GIVE THIS GIRL A RAISE!!!!! Please! Vicki, if you read this, please know that anyone that has the opportunity to meet with you will be blessed and your clientele for bookings will be through the roof by the end of the month. Please never change because people truly appreciate someone being organically and authentically themselves. Vicki truly embodies that. Everyone please tour with her. The VOX provides more amenities, executive responsiveness, and safety within the community than any other living place in this area. As an LA native I had looked for Months for somewhere like this and love to utilize the blue line to reach SM pier within 15-20mins and also love the food at the culver steps. Development in this area causes traffic in the area on Jefferson and labrea, but after living here for a few months that is all easy to find a way around. Fun people and the leasing office has a dream team - always answering the phone and always proving answers. It's hard to find a place in LA with a leasing team that is always around to help and who are all communicative with knowledgeable advice to everything you might ask. read more

- crime directly and / or related issues that impact tenants covered up and gaslit - security that lies / doesn't help or address major concerns - homelessness proving threats to tenants safety in the building - sitting vents now causing sickness due to mold dust and debris - bullets / gunshots fired and even breaking windows left unaccounted for in any real way - parking garage issues and break ins - the amenities and convenience of Whole Foods aren't worth what it's really like living here; don't do it. I have my partner with me.. I can't even imagine learning all the above if living alone. I've never regretted a living situation more. RUN!! Seriously. read more

After living here for over 10 months, I am sad to say that there has been no improvments with management here. I have recently been notified that my assigned parking spot that i've had since i've been here has been taken away from me and assigned to another resident. Instead of reconciling their mistake, they assisgned me a smaller, less convenient spot. Management's lack of communication and their ability to resolve issues has been very disappointing. Also, the sticker they put on my car has left damaging residue. On top of that, their has been many issues with intruders entering the building, and the lack of security has been frustrating. Additionally, there continues to be many false fire alarms that are very distruptive during work hours. Furthermore, our utility bills for the last few months have increased significantly, and there has been absoloutley NO transparancey from management. Lastly, there has been many closures to the amenities which, is another disappointment considering the premium we pay for rent. All management really ever does is apologize lacklusterly and never resolves the issue. Also, they attempt to remove reviews like this from YELP. Please reconsider other buildings before signing a lease. VOX, please refrain from apologizing before you resolve issues and ask to contact you directly. read more

Regardless of the endless fire alarms that blared since I've moved in, maintenance requests have always been very quick. We had problems with the dryer and they came the next day to look at the problem and fixed it over a couple days. Lived at Vox for almost 3 leases. Great experiences while knowingly that was not everyone's experience. As time progressed as residents there, the environment was toxic. Mainly stemmed by frustration with the leasing and management there. Tried multiple times to upgrade my unit after being told by leasing that there were specific criteria that had to be met for example 6 months in current term (even though the lease had mentioned 3 full months) the team apparently didn't even know what was written in their contracts. I asked if there were any exceptions after signing 2 leases at the property and speaking very well of it, but still the answer was no and I told them we will not consider renewing if that was the case, again they just simply did not care. Which whatever, I would hate their jobs too, but it's just sad to see a good time end in such poor management. more reviews to come after I cleaned everything thoroughly and had a walk through day of move out which was scheduled but it was not on anyone's calendar (so what was the point of making this a requirement). Proceeded with spending hours cleaning up (which they mentioned was great because no one ever does) they also sad the cleaning and paint was going to be pro-rated since we have been in that unit for over 2 years and somehow there is no security deposit being refunded because ironically all the extra charges totaled to exactly the security deposit. fun times. 0 stars read more

Vox and Dylan get an A+ for customer service. I had a toured scheduled here on Friday at 230 pm. I was running late and phoned Vox to let them know.
