We recently moved into our new house and gradually learned that we were not getting water from our hot water heater into our furnace-installed humidifier properly. It's been very dry! Especially through the winter. I replaced the control module in hopes it would fix, but still no water flow. After countless manual pumps of a spray bottle to the new filter, I called Hometown and Tim answered right away. Corresponding conveniently through text from there on, he came out to do an assessment and provided a very reasonable quote for a faulty valve, which also happens to be out of code and should never have been used for the purpose. He was able to come out again same day, but I was unavailable, so he came again the very next morning and cut and replaced the piping within 10 minutes, showing me what was done and I am thrilled that the water is now flowing seamlessly. What a great company. I called the owner in the spring, asking for an estimate to charge my AC unit (it had been poorly installed by a runaway contractor). I sent him pics, he gave me a ballpark estimate, then told me I should wait until temps were above 68° regularly before doing any work. That was nice, I thought. Well, our first big heatwave came, and I said to myself, "NO MORE!". This heat gives me the fury of 1000 Viking warriors. I called again on a Sunday night. Monday, at 7:58 AM, the owner (Tim?) called me back. He said he'd send a guy out that afternoon for an estimate. The guy was here in an hour. Very friendly, very professional. Women get talked down to a lot in these situations. He was totally professional, and explained everything to me like I wasn't an idiot, which was refreshing. He took a look, called Tim, and gave me an estimate $100 less than I was expecting. Then he told me he could start right away. It was 94° outside. I was dying. DYING. When he told me he could start immediately, I was over the moon. He ran out to get a part, came back, and had my AC up and running in under 2 hours. He even replaced the filter in my furnace.
