Thumbing through Yelp and stumbled across this little gem that was under my nose for the last 5 years . I called and ordered they let me know the prices were different than what was posted but he will definitely honor the prices YELP showed . We ordered the 3 items I have pictured and of the 3 were packed with flavor , we also purchased a bunch of items we have been hard pressed to find around our area. This place will be our go to spot for our lunch meat as well the prices are very nice and the meat selection is everything we normally get so it's a win for us . The manager and staff are very friendly here and made us feel extremely welcome and he explained alot of stuff he has that may not be found in many places , I truly enjoyed my wait in the store for our food we ordered and will surely be back there very soon read more

They have probably the best beer selection anywhere around us and the staff is super friendly. They have a mass variety of beers, liquors, seltzer's, and some really good food. They have kegs in the back, which they probably have 15 different beers on keg, and they're fairly priced. I will admit that they may be one to two Dollars more per item on some things but the convenience well outweighs the price and the hospitality of the owners and staff. Their pizza pockets are to die for and their homemade pizza is amazing and so cheap as well. This is a liquor store. Flat out on a simplistic label. It's a liquor store. Nothing fancy. No big deal. Just a liquor store that you HAVE to look for if you're in Woodhaven. You would drive by it as there's nothing on the outside that distinguishes it from any other liquor store. So why the 4 stars bordering on 5? The range of selection they have on their booze!!!! A little bit about me. I'm not a heavy drinker. I err more on drowning in good ole H2o than the alki. I mean, let's be honest. Booze is poison in your system. Your body metabolizes the alcohol first before anything else. And that's why you have beer bellies is because you drink heavy, eat all that bar food thinking that it'll sop up the alcohol in your system (not how it works by the way!!!), and your body leaves the food alone and works to eject the booze out before processing the protein, fats, and carbs from your deep fried cheese, onion rings, and hot wings, and burgers. I drink for flavors. A good beer needs to have enough of a rich taste that balances say a finely cut, well marbled, precisely cooked steak or veal or pork chop. There needs to be a balance/counter-balance to the flavors you're putting in your mouth. Which means, in the world of fine drink, the foods that compliment your beverage must balance or else, it's just nothing but a free for all calculated beer fest of just getting hammered for the sake of getting hammered. And I only drink a specific type of beer at that. Sorry Bud light or even Heineken, you're not it. The only kind of beer I tend to touch is the craft beer kind. Specifically one that has been brewed with a certain quality of hops and mash but then aged in oak bourbon barrels. The flavors of that beer is unbelievable! And the only beer I've come to know that does this is Innis & Gunn. A Scottish ale that steeps the mix in oak bourbon barrels for at least 2+ months if not longer. You then find there are hints of toffee, vanilla, and oak flavors that are unlike any other beer I know of. This place has it and it's near me!!!! Believe me when I say that 4 stars is enough for a generic liquor store when they have Innis & Gunn Scottish Ale in stock, better believe it's a fantastic place! That, and they also had Angry Orchard hard cider. They stocked Woodchuck as well but I kinda wanted the Angry Orchard brand. Either way, it's very apparent that this place has the beer I love. While I'll not get all alcoholic, if I'm gonna eat a steak or a nice slab of veal, I'll pair it with Innis & Gunn and Vreeland Market will have it!!!! read more

I am so lucky that Vreeland Market is right down the street from my house. Their deli is wonderful! I love their pasta salads--the Greek pasta salad is my favorite! They make really good pizza, too! You can order it over the phone and pick it up in store, or you can go in and buy it by the slice, which is nice. I think they also sell them frozen/unprepared so you can bake them at your own house. The beer, wine, and liquor selection is HUGE! They always have what I'm looking for...and on the off chance that they don't, they're full of recommendations of other things I might like. Great place! Hands down one of the BEST quick takeout pizzas that I have tried since moving to Michigan. The crust, sauce, and toppings are all delicious. The ingredients are high quality, and you can usually pick up your pizza in under 20 minutes. The price is excellent too, at $8.99 for a Large one-topping pizza. This store has everything under the sun. I hear that their Pepperoni rolls and deli tries are outstanding as well, but I will definitely be back for the pizza.
