I would have been completely understanding if he had come back, evaluated the situation, and explained that it was a different issue requiring additional work. But the quick jump to conclusions without taking a second look didn't sit well with me. I ended up calling another technician who was able to diagnose and fix the problem. These guys are fantastic! Had them out to repair our Bosch dishwasher that had an error code. Found them thru Yelp. Their initial diagnostic fee is the cheapest around at 50 bucks. They came out the same night at 7:30 to help us out. Awesome service. Our technicians were Sal and Seth. At first they thought the problem was caused by broken glass which would have been a quick fix. As they looked some more they found the problem was a broken internal valve. They said they'd have the part and be back the next day. They returned the next day and worked around our schedule. They had the part installed and everything fixed quickly. They did an excellent job. The guys were friendly and transparent. Much Much better experience than some other appliance technicians I've dealt with. 5 stars all the way! I contacted VSTAR on a Sunday for my dryer not heating. Luckily they were able to accept my request to provide immediate service. I was able to find the fault and find out that my Dryer Vent was clogged. I tried to clear it myself as per "YouTube" but still was unable to make it work. Same fault continued.
