Gary took one quick look and immediately found the culprit: a sneaky sock that somehow bypassed the lint filter, slipped between the drum, and slowly started jamming the whole mechanism like it owned the place. He even mentioned we got lucky: our unit is a more complex top-down dual-dryer setup that's not exactly fun to disassemble. Fortunately, it turned out to be a simple fix. He dislodged the sock, everything went back to normal, and just like that... peace was restored to our laundry kingdom. Kyle arrived and trouble shot the problem and determined that the motherboard died. New one ordered. Kyle installed the new board... NO JOY IN MUDVILLE!! Checking... rechecking.... Honestly can't say enough good things and I had only been around Mike for about 16 minutes-…read more I had been changing laundry out of the dryer in the dark (first mistake), and a screw fell out of my husband's pants )I thought it made it to the ground but it ended up fallin in the lint trap). I figured it would just get sucked through the vent if I started it but it actually sounded like a bomb went off when I attempted to begin a cycle, and I knew I royally f'd up. I reached out to Mike and he was prompt to respond and was actually available to come out same day (just so happened fairly quickly), and provided his time frame. Upon arrival he was professional, friendly, and made me feel at ease - being alone in your house with an unknown person can be a little nerve racking for a gal, but Mike was great!
