So far there's a consistent 4 in 10 chance that the bus just never shows up despite Transit and Maps saying it did. The other times the bus either shows up early or 10-15 min late. The VTA has probably wasted hours of my time at this point. Honestly my biggest gripe is that if there ISN'T a bus, don't report that there is! I've had several occasions where I just call an Uber after half an hour of waiting or just walk for 1-2 hours to get home. I thought the public transit was terrible in my old city, but my experiences with the VTA have taught me that there is ALWAYS a lower low that the VTA strives hard to reach.

So looking into the cost of parking near the stadium-i I was looking at upwards of $40 to park across the street from the SAP Center-that's outrageous to me-so I knew there had to be a better way. So what I decided to do was look into the Light Rail system in the area and I realized I could park at the Bascom Rail Station-which is part of the VTA system in the area. Once parked I could catch the light rail and go 2 or 3 stops,maybe 10 minutes and it would drop me off right in front of the SAP Center and I could just walk into the stadium. Here is the good stuff-parking at the light rail station was free and the fare for the train was like $2.50. After the event-it was so easy to just walk back to the station-catch a train back to Bascom and jump in my car and off I was back to Sacramento-easy peasy. The station felt very safe-especially on a game night,lots of people at the train station-so no issues there. In closing-I would definitely highly recommend this method of getting to and from events at the SAP Center-it's cheaper-it's less hectic and it's super efficient-Be Safe Out There. PS-This method works for events at Levi Stadium as well-VTA Light Rail for the win.....

Now this line has gone down in quality for awhile. From what I remember sooner I had to wait longer for a bus to arrive. The last time I took it was in 2018 after a Yelp event and it was cool to see the bus faster near the 5 roads neighborhood (Senter, Story, White, King and Tully roads). The bus drivers on this route are really outgoing and will talk with you. They are experienced too. If you live in Willow Glen this bus does a good job of connecting you with the rest if San Jose. Warning: be aware of your surroundings because some parts of the line are tough to ride through as well as wait for a bus at.

Regularly on time the 25 is one of the better bus routes in the area. It hits Deanza, three light rail stations and a Caltrain station and goes right past the heart of Willow Glen. Whats not to love? The VTA buses are usually clean, well kept (especially compared to Muni) and the drivers are fairly friendly. I love the 25 because it gets me almost anywhere I need to go and it does so on time with a minimum of fuss. That's awesome. Yay Bus 25!

They told me no more trips until the next day. The bus driver said bad words to my dad in Vietnamese. I tried to call customer service to ask for a solution to that problem. They said they can not do anything for me. They only give me the voucher to use for the next time. Unbelievable, really the worst service, their fault, but they don't have any responsibility for that. They left the guest in Los Angeles and don't have any solution to support them. Though I haven't parked at the station in many years, everytime I have in the past, finding a spot was easy on weekdays or weekends. I don't necessarily feel the safest walking around the area alone at night, but after a game/concert there are usually plenty of people around in case anything goes awry. It also feels fine during the daytime.
