    Chicken chopped chops

YUM!!! Eatn beens in vulcanviches laid back peace with my boy fried chicken chops hungry

Hole in the wall place, nothing fancy, but the food was great! The staff was friendly and it was clear no one who entered had been there multiple times and many commenting to me that they have been coming for as long as they've been open. I had a salad and it was plentiful.

    Tiny Castle at Irish Bayou

We took a detour off of I10 to see the Tiny Castle on Irish Bayou and found this local Cajun lunch spot! The owner greeted us at the counter and took our orders. The Red Beans and Rice had so much sausage in it, you didn't need the side, but dat is how day do it! Thank you for the hospitality, kind words, and outstanding food!

Nice secluded spot. The food is great and the service is wonderful. It gets packed during lunch ours do to the surrounding plants and hard workers. Call ahead of time abs ask for the daily special. On the menu they have handhelds like po boys, sandwiches and burgers.

Fried double Chicken Breast w/ spaghetti

Vucinovich is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant for truckers and New Orleans East residents. They're only open for lunch time. Got the Thursday special - fried double chicken breast with spaghetti meat sauce. The breast is almost as big as the togo plate. Flavor-wise was pretty good. And to go with the meal, I got a bottle of green grape soju.

    Most epic club sandwich ever

This off the beaten path place is pretty great. I loved the service and the owner (you'll know him as soon as you walk in from the accent) was a real sweetheart. We got the debris fries and I had a club sandwich. Portions are huge here and made to order. You might as well get a to go box when you place your order because you will be taking some home for later. Trust me. It's one of those places where you order at the counter, are called up to get your food, fill your own drinks and clean your own table kind of spot, so if that's not your thing go elsewhere. But if you like feeling like you're eating lunch at your mom and dem's like I do you will love Vucinovich's.

Daily Thursday Special: Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Fried Chicken Filet
    Anthony N.

I live in New Orleans East and always pass this place without thinking much of it. It just looks like a big house. I have no idea how long this place has been here, but I can only assume that it's older than me! Before Hurricane Katrina, there was a Shell gas station right next to it that was blocking the view to see the restaurant from Chef Menteur Highway. One day, my brother asked me if I wanted to go eat at Vucinovich's for their Thursday special. I said, "Voo-chino-what?? What are you saying?" He had to repeat it a few times and spelled it out for me. He told me that the special was "Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Fried Chicken Filet" and that we had to go get some. He went a few times with his friends before and I didn't even know it existed. I decided to go and I expected us to leave New Orleans East. He just pulled up to this restaurant on Michoud Blvd and I am just MIND BLOWN. At this time, I was a skinny little teenager and I can eat like I'm always at an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet. Usually I would eat my meal and still want to eat, but the special actually filled me up! A different time, I was craving onion rings and I ordered some. They give you a mountain load of them, so you definitely can share. This place has a large gravel parking lot and is only open for lunch time. This place does get pretty busy with nearby workers and such, so don't be surprised if you see a filled parking lot when you decide to eat here. When you walk in, there are a bunch of tables and a counter where you order. The man at the counter will always joke with you like you have been friends with him for years. The restaurant is like a big homey cafeteria where you order your food at the counter and pick it up on the side. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with great lunch specials and po boys. Call ahead to ask them what their daily specials are, because sometimes they change. I can proudly say that you don't have to worry about Thursday's specials changings! Come hungry because they really take care of you and make sure you leave full!

Best hole-in-the-wall seafood restaurant in New Orleans in my opinion. Plus, these are the biggest food portions you'll ever find.

Great service and good food. Short hours but it's a great lunch spot. Would recommend if you are in New Orleans East during lunch hours.

This was my first time having noodles added to a seafood boil, and let me tell you--they were a GAME CHANGER. The noodles soaked up all that rich, buttery Cajun sauce and seasoning, making every bite ridiculously flavorful. I honestly don't know if I can order another seafood boil without noodles now! Our boil was loaded with crab, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn, and egg, and everything came out piping hot and covered in sauce. The seafood was flavorful, the portions were generous, and once we dumped everything onto the tray, it was officially time to get messy. What I really appreciated was how well everything worked together. The noodles weren't just an unnecessary add-on--they caught all that extra sauce that normally gets left at the bottom of the bag. Do yourself a favor and add them! Come hungry, roll up your sleeves, and don't wear anything you're afraid to get Cajun sauce on. Hot N Cajun delivered exactly what I wanted from a New Orleans seafood boil: hot, messy, saucy, flavorful, and satisfying. The noodles alone made this one memorable. Definitely coming back!

I went to Bon Ton Prime Rib for my birthday Saturday 8/29 with a party of 13, and unfortunately,…read morethe experience was a mix of good and bad. The good: The food was really good! Everything we ordered was delicious, and honestly, the food is the main reason I would consider giving Bon Ton another try. I also want to give credit to the host who greeted us. She was extremely friendly, professional, and genuinely tried her best to accommodate my party. The bad: The issue was management. I had a party of 13, and I understood that the restaurant could only seat 10 people at one table. I was told the other 3 guests would be seated at a separate table, and I was completely okay with that arrangement. However, Travis, the front manager, canceled the reservation for my 3 additional guests, so they were never seated. The host was trying her best to help us, but Travis was not very accommodating and made the situation much more difficult than it needed to be. I also asked to speak with a manager because I wanted to understand what happened with the table for my 3 guests. Tre was told that I wanted to speak with him, but he didn't come over when he finished with the table behind me. Instead, he went into the kitchen, came back out, and spoke with my friend instead of me. When he eventually spoke with me, I asked if he was the manager, and he told me no. He also gave me a different name. What makes this even more disappointing is that I wasn't approaching him to complain. I simply wanted to ask about the seating situation and find a solution for my guests. The interaction with management was unnecessary and took away from what should have been a special birthday dinner. I will say again that the food was good enough that I am willing to give Bon Ton another try. Hopefully, next time the service and management experience will match the quality of the food. Shoutout to the host for being kind and trying her best--you could tell she genuinely cared about helping us.
