    Chicken chopped chops

YUM!!! Eatn beens in vulcanviches laid back peace with my boy fried chicken chops hungry

Hole in the wall place, nothing fancy, but the food was great! The staff was friendly and it was clear no one who entered had been there multiple times and many commenting to me that they have been coming for as long as they've been open. I had a salad and it was plentiful.

    Tiny Castle at Irish Bayou

We took a detour off of I10 to see the Tiny Castle on Irish Bayou and found this local Cajun lunch spot! The owner greeted us at the counter and took our orders. The Red Beans and Rice had so much sausage in it, you didn't need the side, but dat is how day do it! Thank you for the hospitality, kind words, and outstanding food!

Nice secluded spot. The food is great and the service is wonderful. It gets packed during lunch ours do to the surrounding plants and hard workers. Call ahead of time abs ask for the daily special. On the menu they have handhelds like po boys, sandwiches and burgers.

Fried double Chicken Breast w/ spaghetti

Vucinovich is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant for truckers and New Orleans East residents. They're only open for lunch time. Got the Thursday special - fried double chicken breast with spaghetti meat sauce. The breast is almost as big as the togo plate. Flavor-wise was pretty good. And to go with the meal, I got a bottle of green grape soju.

    Most epic club sandwich ever
    Angie T.

This off the beaten path place is pretty great. I loved the service and the owner (you'll know him as soon as you walk in from the accent) was a real sweetheart. We got the debris fries and I had a club sandwich. Portions are huge here and made to order. You might as well get a to go box when you place your order because you will be taking some home for later. Trust me. It's one of those places where you order at the counter, are called up to get your food, fill your own drinks and clean your own table kind of spot, so if that's not your thing go elsewhere. But if you like feeling like you're eating lunch at your mom and dem's like I do you will love Vucinovich's.

Daily Thursday Special: Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Fried Chicken Filet
    Anthony N.

I live in New Orleans East and always pass this place without thinking much of it. It just looks like a big house. I have no idea how long this place has been here, but I can only assume that it's older than me! Before Hurricane Katrina, there was a Shell gas station right next to it that was blocking the view to see the restaurant from Chef Menteur Highway. One day, my brother asked me if I wanted to go eat at Vucinovich's for their Thursday special. I said, "Voo-chino-what?? What are you saying?" He had to repeat it a few times and spelled it out for me. He told me that the special was "Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Fried Chicken Filet" and that we had to go get some. He went a few times with his friends before and I didn't even know it existed. I decided to go and I expected us to leave New Orleans East. He just pulled up to this restaurant on Michoud Blvd and I am just MIND BLOWN. At this time, I was a skinny little teenager and I can eat like I'm always at an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet. Usually I would eat my meal and still want to eat, but the special actually filled me up! A different time, I was craving onion rings and I ordered some. They give you a mountain load of them, so you definitely can share. This place has a large gravel parking lot and is only open for lunch time. This place does get pretty busy with nearby workers and such, so don't be surprised if you see a filled parking lot when you decide to eat here. When you walk in, there are a bunch of tables and a counter where you order. The man at the counter will always joke with you like you have been friends with him for years. The restaurant is like a big homey cafeteria where you order your food at the counter and pick it up on the side. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with great lunch specials and po boys. Call ahead to ask them what their daily specials are, because sometimes they change. I can proudly say that you don't have to worry about Thursday's specials changings! Come hungry because they really take care of you and make sure you leave full!

Best hole-in-the-wall seafood restaurant in New Orleans in my opinion. Plus, these are the biggest food portions you'll ever find.

Everything appears carefully considered and efficiently executed. The layout is purposeful, the operation is remarkably well organized, the space is impeccably clean, and the presentation of the products is both attractive and inviting. The restaurant's steady stream of customers throughout much of the day is hardly surprising. There is an obvious rhythm and efficiency to the operation, yet it never feels rushed or chaotic. Instead, there is a sense that every component of the business has been thoughtfully orchestrated. The staff further reinforces this impression. They are exceptionally friendly, courteous, and accommodating, but what stands out most is their knowledge. They are able to answer questions, offer guidance, and navigate the extensive menu with confidence, making the experience both comfortable and enjoyable. And the menu itself is a destination. It offers an impressive range of choices, with an appealing variety of meats, sandwiches, sides, and beverages. There is far too much temptation to reasonably expect one visit to be sufficient. In fact, choosing what to order may be the most difficult part of the experience. Their version of the muffuletta an outstanding of the original. Particularly their version of the bread, which was fresh, and warmly toasted renders it a cut above. Cochon Butcher is therefore a restaurant best approached with the intention of returning. One visit gives you an introduction; several visits allow you to truly appreciate the breadth of what they do. The combination of organization, cleanliness, quality, knowledgeable service, and an extensive menu makes Cochon Butcher a particularly impressive example of how a busy restaurant can operate with both efficiency and character.

We noticed a guy sitting by himself and offered to buy him a beer if he'd let us join him at his table. He said yes, and it ended up being part of the fun experience! The food was excellent. We ordered the Cochon Muffaletta, which was huge, packed with flavor, and definitely a must-try. The mac & cheese is an absolute MUST--creamy, cheesy, rich, and easily one of my favorite things we ordered. The beer was great too and paired perfectly with the food. The atmosphere is casual, lively, and exactly the kind of place you want to experience while in New Orleans. 5/5 -- great food, great beer, and absolutely worth the visit. I would definitely come back!

Hands down it's the absolute BEST king cake I've ever tasted and trust me, I've tasted dozens. So, when I found out they were going to have mini king cakes for 4th of July, I had to get one. Made it there about 7:30 am, line was wrapped. By the time they opened at 8, they had already given out all available tickets. These are high demand. This time, the crawfish pies were just coming out so I tried one of those. The dough was a bit sweet but flaky. Inside.. was interesting. There was crawfish of course and there was a vegetable, I can't make out which one. The pie was a different flavor than I'm used to. Sweet and Savory and I tasted like there was a bit of Italian dressing or something in it. I'll try a meat one next time.
