The wedge salad had too much salad dressing. I LOVE blue cheese and blue cheese salad dressing but the lettuce to dressing ratio was off. Could have used less as I felt so much went to waste. The thick cut bacon on the salad was the exact salty touch it needed and the fresh dill was such a fresh touch. The pickle cocktail was delicious! I wish I would have ordered another one! A classic order at the counter joint without much ambiance of note, Parasol's has the feel of a hole in the wall that is often my favorite kind of restaurant. The Po' boy doesn't need fancy ingredients, but it was incredibly dry and the bread was stale. The shrimps were alright but nothing special. Give them the benefit of the doubt that this was an off day. Reading through lots of the reviews, it seems like this happens occasionally. It would not be near my top recommendations for the area, but lots of people seem to love it.

A handwritten sign taped over the display: Turkey dinner with cranberry, stuffing, potato, smothered in gravy. I brought it home and it was truly a delight, Decadent and delicious; I snacked on it all night. Fast forward to today, it's the day after Pride, I'm hungover and hungry from yesterday's ride. I call Dirty Verti to see if turkey dinner's on the board, Only to be told it's not a regular menu item--my wishes ignored. Who must I talk to to get the turkey dinner back? I hate to say it, but in comparison, the other menu items lack. To Roger, to Sam, to the whole Hatfield family: I'm starving and hungover; please hear my plea. Bring back the Sunday turkey dinner, piled high with gravy. And if possible, this afternoon, please deliver it to me.

There's a convenient parking lot that wraps around the back and downtown side of the building, but the spaces can be tight, especially with a SUV size vehicle. This time I grabbed some coffee, bread, brownies, and wine. Unfortunately, I found many of the aisles and sections not stocked very well. The bakery section had very little product as did several other places. Just empty bins and shelves. Hmmmm? It is the beginning of Mardi Gras season so plenty of King Cake and specialty vodka.
