Up the steps to the host station. We were greeted and seated immediately. This place has all outdoor dining with views of the river. The TV on the wall above the bar was the biggest one I've ever seen. The menu had lots of options. I was there for the Gator Bites. Friend ordered Calamari and we split a salad. They used to have Kalick and Red Stripe beer but unfortunately they no longer carry those two beers. Our food showed up fairly quickly and was delicious. The Gator bites were tender with a light coating of breading. The Calamari was the same - tender and lightly coated. The salad was huge and really good except for the anemic tomatoes. Our server showed up only once to see if we needed anything (more water, please). The bill was very reasonable. Cheaper than most places for the Gator and Calamari. As we were ready to leave, a group of 16 showed up to sit next to us. I noticed, as we left, that the whole place was packed. They fill up quickly. We'll go back. It's a popular place that has reasonably priced food.

We opted to sit at the bar and ordered a mix of plates to share: Ceviche shooters -- refreshing and full of flavor. Hot honey chicken sandwich -- sweet, spicy, and perfectly crispy. Grouper tacos -- light, fresh, and delicious. The food was excellent across the board, but the service was truly outstanding -- warm, attentive, and welcoming

The restaurant itself has a nice feel, and I always love being able to see the kitchen. I would say the only downside was some of the food. We ordered a cornbread appetizer, which was delicious, almost more of a cake than cornbread but really tasty. I ordered the lobster bisque, it was extremely small, had exactly 3 pieces of lobster and tasted only of salt. I was really disappointed. My husband ordered a steak sandwich and I wish I had taken a picture of it, it immediately was disappointing. It looked like an empty bun on a plate with a tin cup of sweet potato fries. Very stingy portions, it looked very plain. It was definitely a different take on a steak sandwich, instead of nice cut up slices, it was minced, so the usual nice chew of steak was replaced with a bite of mushy almost ground beef consistency. He said the flavor was ok but he definitely wouldn't get it again. Overall, while a nice atmosphere, we found the food to be underwhelming and the portions to be small. Maybe just a place to go for an appetizer and a drink.

The gyoza were spot on and all of us enjoyed our sushi. Very fresh and the rolls are a good size too. Would recommend this restaurant for sushi if you are in the area. We had to wait a few minutes to be served. When she finally came back, we ordered the steamed gyoza to split. I got the sashimi martini with seafood salad as an appetizer and my husband got a jalapeño firecracker or something appetizer. And we ordered the dynamite roll for us to split. The gyoza came out pretty quickly, and then they brought my martini seaweed sashimi, but they didn't bring my husband's firecracker appetizer so I had to sit there and wait for his to come so I didn't eat without him eating. Well, they served a table of 10 while we waited for the other half of our appetizer order. We go out for sushi because we like raw seafood. Their menu for their rolls is lacking with raw seafood. Their rolls had the fake crab meat or something in there was steamed or tempura. The only role they had that was all raw and not just a single first item was called the dynamite roll. And that one had 2 types of raw fish ( I believe it was tuna and yellowtail, but I'm not 100% sure) avocado and it was delicious, We walked in at 5:30 and did not walk out until 7 PM and it was not busy. There was three tables on our side. I could not see it was on the other side, but I can't imagine that being more than two because what I did see was empty. It's an older place, so it's not new and fancy but the food that we got was very good however, they need to have more raw options for rolls that are assorted rolls and do better with timing.
