Such a great hospitable pizzeria. I'm glad we came here instead of some chain. We wanted something unique to the area for experience sake. The workers were so nice and personable. They gave us good recommendations for our stay and/or food, and they answered any questions we had. The pizza was so good...! I'll give you the good and bad of this establishment. The good is that it's pretty close to the highway, with a fairly quick entry and exit. The parking is good. The staff were pleasant and quick. The food, which on this day, was a quick sandwich for wife and I. Also got some fries with that which were crispy. They then took another half hour to make the order which was just a small pizza, a meatball sub, and a small salad. My girlfriend and I tried this pizzeria for the first and last time earlier today. The service was questionable, but the take out we ordered was absolutely horrendous. We ordered a BBQ chicken sub, buffalo chicken appetizer and fries. The BBQ sub was cold and flavorless, the lettuce was brown and the sauce was so sparse that I could not even taste it. I could only stomach half of it. The buffalo chicken appetizer we ordered turned out to be chicken fingers with blue cheese sauce...my only explanation was that they messed the order up, but no competent chef would put blue cheese in with buffalo sauce-less chicken fingers, at least I think... At first I didn't mind the mistake until i tried them. They were the worst chicken fingers either of us had ever tasted, soggy and utterly unappealing. The fries were the only thing we liked. Dropped in for lunch on a weekend. Waited in line, asked if we should order at the counter and take it to the table, was told no; the procedure was to seat yourself and she'd come over to take our order. Sat at the cleanest table which was none too clean. The booths were flimsy, and a fat person behind me had moved the seat, cramming me against the table. The overwhelmed counter girl never took our order. After 15 minutes a waitress showed up (apparently late for her shift) and took our order. Ordered drinks, salad and a pizza. After another 45 minutes, no salad, no pizza, no drinks. Called the waitress over, asked what the deal was, she said the pizza would be ready "really soon" and brought over our drinks. Twenty minutes later, no pizza. Paid for our drinks, and told them we were leaving. A third woman said our pizza was free, went into the back and put a pizza in a box for us. At this point we were quite hungry, so I took the pizza, and we ate it on way to our next errand. Was an undercooked pizza on a soggy crust. Not particularly flavorful sauce. Great experience here. We chose to come here over the Common Man tiltin diner which is nearby because they were so crowded and we knew they would have a long wait time. At upper crust, we had a short wait time and got hot yummy food! Bacon pineapple pizza was great and you can tell its fresh real ingredients. Boyfriend got a buffalo chicken sub which was also great.
