That's when she found this place and I was glad to be able to capture some bts shots. The owner opened up early for us on a Tuesday morning and it was perfect!!! Being in a shop all alone can be a bit odd, especially on your wedding day, but Erin made the bride feel like she was in her hotel and providing some of the best conversations while she worked her skills. The end result was amazing and the style matched the brides' personality to the "T". As the photographer for the entire day, I saw how well the style held up in all the photos. That requires some skills, as we photos in Napa, Sacramento, and then back to Napa Valley all in the same day... and the shots at the end of the day looked just as good as the morning. This was my second visit to Alpha Avenue Blow Dry Bar. The location is great, downtown Fairfield. Parking was excellent, I was able to locate a spot very close to the front of the building. The charm of the salon was nice and simple. I love the fact that they book one client for each person so it was only two of us in the building at a time. The products they used on my hair are amazing. The shampoo smelled great and had my hair feeling so clean! I also opted for color this time around so right now I'm happy with it. My hair is so straight! The flat iron lasted so nicely the last time which is why I came back. My appointment was for 2 hours. I was out the door immediately afterward with no delays. I have to say I am a "Blowout addict!" 100+ blowouts at 15+ locations... Franchise and local salons. I am VERY picky... Erin, the Owner opened up early and served us all mimosas! After about 45 minutes, I had the best blowout ever! Erin gave an amazing wash and scalp massage too. Blowout so thorough and sectioned then pinned for extra volume while makeup was done. I have thick, wavy, frizzy hair and I loved the volume she was able to achieve! They carry there own line of products too! Root Booster was awesome and smells so light and fresh. This place seems like it would have potential, but nope. I have been looking for someplace to just get my hair washed and styled, either with a flat iron or curled. The service was good, shampoo and conditioner good. The hair dresser dried my hair and asked how I wanted it styled. I said curled but not curly. I like the lose curls, showed her a picture. She said okay, got it. Maybe not got it because at some point she said well, you have a lot of layers in your hair so curling your hair is not really a good idea. Huh? I curl my hair all the time and have never had a problem. I guess I have to do it myself. 2 stars for shampoo and conditioner. read more

So I've always had the struggle of finding a place that specializes in really curly hair and yes I know most salons can deal with my type of hair but i was never comfortable putting my hair in the hands of someone who just normally works with straight hair and all you see on there page is straight hair never your type of hair so when i came across Alpha Ave and i seen they work with my type of hair i had to try them out and words can't even describe how much i love this place! After receiving her message, I called hairstylist Erin back to explain what happened. Also, I tried to reschedule my appointment. Instead of rescheduling my appointment like I requested, Erin decided to cancel my appointment and charge a $50 cancellation fee. I'm never going here again! The points that i liked was that it didnt take long at all so its not like i had to cut my day short just because i was getting my hair done. I was in and out. I first met Erin early last year and booked her to do my hair for my bridal shower and wedding, along with my bridesmaids. I originally learned about this business when my friend had an event where a ton of businesses got together and Alpha Avenue was apart of this event. I made an appointment for a wash and blow out for Friday @ 2:00pm. I realized I wasn't going to make my 2:00pm appointment so I called to see if I could reschedule and I had no issue rescheduling to come a little later. When I first came in I was greeted by everyone which made me feel very comfortable because this was my first time here. When I sat down in the chair, Stephanie asked what I wanted to do and if I wanted anything specific. THIS WAS SUPER IMPORTANT TO ME!!! I usually don't like to go to new people when it comes to my hair because they like to do whatever they want and not what I want. So I was given a really good wash and the products smell AMAZING! My blowout was amazing and made me not want to straighten my hair ever again. During this service Stephanie and I chatted about life things and overall I felt that she was able to balance doing my hair and having a conversation at the same time!
