This is such a unique concept: a gas station where you can buy gas, but you can also buy real food: pastry, pizza, sandwiches, and café drinks. We came for lunch and got an Arnold Palmer, strawberry Matcha latte, pepperoni pizza, and turkey focaccia. Everything was really great. There is limited seating inside and we enjoyed people watching through the window as we enjoyed our meal. Be aware that the sandwiches are premade, so there's no special orders available. read more

This is officially my second-ever gas station review -- the first was for fish tacos, and now here I am writing about an $11 Tropical Kale smoothie. On our drive back from Calistoga to Berkeley, my bestie and I needed a quick snack, and this stop in St. Helena was perfectly timed. She's been here plenty of times; it was my first visit. I went the smoothie route (solid, refreshing, did the job), but I couldn't help noticing that most people were walking out with pizza. That seemed to be the move. The place had a steady flow of locals and road-trippers, which is always a good sign when you're pulling off the highway. It was quick, easy, and exactly what we needed in the moment. Will I be back? We read the reviews on here and decided to try this unique gas station/walk-up coffee shop for lunch and coffee. At first glands, the place looks interesting but not appealing enough to stay for lunch (seating on the side of the gas station on a scorching hot day). They had no customers ordering drinks ahead of us so our 1 coffee drink should not take more than a few minutes with 3 baristas behind the counter. Guess what? We waited and waited and waited a total of ~ 15 minutes. The baristas were taking their time, didn't seem to know what they're doing at first, then they were making drinks for themselves. At this point, I was fuming and should have demanded a refund. Really bad first time experience for an afternoon Friday, and I will never go back to this place. read more

Oh My Goodness!! We were walking around exploring when we looked across the street! After crossing the street, we stood in line impatiently awaiting to spoil ourselves with pastries and coffee. We ordered the Oatmeal Everything Cookies. Oooooh so delicious!! Crispy edges and soft and chewy middle. It consists of oats, walnuts, pecans, pistachios, coconut, cherries, and raisins. It was so good, I had to ask about the ingredients!! We also had their seasonal pumpkin spice cake with burnt butter cream frosting! It was so moist and delicious! The Cardamom Vanilla Latte was also good. After our snack, we went back in line and ordered a dozen to-go pastries to take home!!! Station is a gas station! So, it's a gas station with gourmet treats! Not your typical gas station foodies!! They offer pastries, sandwiches, salads, pizza, and a nice coffee drink choices. They also sell souvenirs as well. Such a cool place! Clean, fun and lots of food and drink options - ranging from coffee, beer, white claws, breakfast, pizza, cookies, salads and sandwiches! I got a hot matcha lavender latte and it was so good! We only stopped by to grab coffee because we already had plans to eat somewhere else. So I only got the latte. But all of the sandwiches looked so fresh and delicious, I really wanted to try the chicken caesar focaccia and was eyeing it the whole time while I was waiting for my matcha order. Such a cute stop in St Helena! The storefront has a cute retro vibe, perfect for a quick stop and photos. We came in the morning before some wine tasting and it was a mix of locals and tourists. Service was great, but a little slow. The matcha latte was okay. I like that they had milk alternatives, but it didn't stand out. Will probably try their coffee next time. The blueberry coffee cake pastry was so good! It was moist, the crumble on top was the perfect amount of crunch and sweetness, and it was enough to tide me and my husband over before brunch. I saw lots of people order other pastries and savory items, so seems like their food might be the way to go! They have lots of open seating in the back with shade as well. The aesthetics of Station are like cars land in Disneyland and I loved it. Not only can you get coffee and pastries but you can also grab a pizza or even gasoline. Unfortunately I had already eaten so I only got a latte but I will have to return to try their food. The staff were friendly and service was quick. The vibes all around were good and all the customers seem to be in good spirits. Not the best coffee I've ever had but the vibes more than made up for it. This is a nice spot to take a break after visiting the vineyards! The outside patio is nice and spacious. There's a cute corner that says "I love you", great as a photo op. Although the ambiance is nice, the drinks were not very good. The iced latte with whole milk was very milky and did not have much coffee in it. I feel like you could tell by the color of the latte- it's definitely more on the milkier light end. read more

The Station is run by Gott's, which has been a local favorite for healthy-ish fast food with creative options. On the plus side, it's nice to see an affordable, casual option in St. Helena. Clever that it's still a working gas station. We found most salads and sandwiches at The Station are premade in the cold case, which I don't love. Our BLT however was made to order, and came on thick multigrain with tangy lemon aioli, but with a thin, single layer of (somehow lean and chewy) bacon that didn't satisfy. The grain bowl had a nice combo of garbanzo beans, sweet potatoes, eggs and pickled beets, and was also premade. A lot of nice design details about this place and use of green packaging. Kudos for the creativity and cost effectiveness, but also I was left wanting more for my sandwich experience. read more

A great place to get a quick meal, snack and drink. I had the Bacon Quiche, warmed and an ice chai latte. It hit the spot. I originally was trying to order avocado toast but they were all out of avocados. The staff were friendly, the set up and decor were nice especially with it being at a gas station. I love this charming gas station restaurant. It's a super casual place to grab a quick bite to eat and a coffee drink. We came right before the lunch rush. I got a yummy turkey focaccia sandwich and a tasty iced latte. Do know that this spot can get busy, I did order the last turkey focaccia sandwich when we went. There are covered picnic tables behind the space that you can eat your goodies at if you don't wanna do take out. There is a gender neutral restroom outside at the back in true gas station style. Station is literally a filling station (4 pumps to top off your tank) and an upscale, mostly take-away eatery with a delightful selection of biscuits, enticing riffs on healthier breakfast favorites like avocado toast plus muffins and quiche, great salads, smoothies, sandwiches- and pizza by the slice. I got the Salmon Toast on thick, homemade multigrain bread, nova, feta cheese spread topped with pickled onions ($15). I brought back the Grain Bowl ($13) for my swimmer with extra protein (sliced herbed chicken, + $5). All the items were delicious and high quality though a bit skimpy on salmon and sliced chicken. Still, I appreciated all the housemade, creative ingredients like the salad's harissa-spiced sweet potatoes and crispy chickpeas and the homemade thick, toasted multigrain bread for my salmon toast. Americano was delicious and service was upbeat but respectfully low-key: I don't talk much at that hour before I'm appropriately caffeinated. Staff was speedy taking and fulfilling orders as groups of people came and went. The space never felt crowded as the entire front wall (where garage doors were lifted open) left only three sides enclosed. Whoever designed the high impact graphics and the flow of this space deserves an award. It's a wow! I hope we have another meet in St. Helena soon because I want to return for the hot honey pimento and bacon biscuit and matcha lavender latte. Come here if you're day tripping in Wine Country or passing through and looking to have a delicious breakfast or lunch without breaking the bank. Really good food and beverage. I wanted an healthier meal considering ive been eating unhealthy the past two weeks. I ordered a sandwich with their homemade focaccia and a strawberry match latte. Both were delicious! Their focaccia was sooo soft and buttery. It had a turkey in it as my protein and i loved how thinly sliced and layered it was. The strawberry matcha latte came in a bigger portion than expected but it so good i just had to finish. The strawberry jam they used is of high quality and not overly sweet matched with the balance of the matcha. Outdoor seating was great and you can see the view of all the boutiques and dogs walking around. They use good coffee beans too: Naysayer coffee. They have a gluten free pizza crust from Mariposa Bakery (a super famous all gluten free bakery in the Bay Area - that's also worth checking out if you are in the area from out of town)! Definitely the best gluten free pizza in all of Napa/Sonoma. My husband who isn't gluten free said the regular pizza is "really good pizza" which for him as a pizza-enthusiast is a glowing endorsement! read more

In town for Christmas and needed a warm caffeinated drink in the afternoon. Counter service was fast and friendly. I had the large mocha (positively divine) and got one of the last apple fritters to go. The mocha was seriously the best hot drink I've had in a while. Served piping hot and plenty of dark chocolate flavor. The apple fritter was bigger than my face! It was good, but a bit dry so we heated it a bit and it was delicious. The experience was so good, that we went back the next morning to get breakfast for the family to take home. Again, the place was sparkling clean and counter service was good. But, two disappointments: The mocha was served tepid, not piping hot like the day before. Also, it seemed like they just *showed* the dark chocolate to my cup but didn't put much inside. One person wanted a BLTA sandwich. That's only available on the lunch menu. Can't have it for breakfast even though other breakfast dishes had bacon, tomato, avocado and sourdough bread. Learned later that staff literally cannot enter a lunch item during the breakfast service. Their computer won't allow it. Seems dumb to me but hey, they had plenty of other offerings. We ordered for 5 people: 3 bacon biscuits (more ciabatta than biscuit, but delicious) Veggie crustless quiche (fabulous) Ham & cheese quiche (with crust, also very good) Avocado toast on Sourdough (see BLTA comment) Apple fritter (served warm and fresh) Coffee cake OG doughnut Banana berry smoothie +chia seeds Almond milk hot latte Hot mocha (sad face) Yes, we dropped a load of dough (see what I did there?) but we truly enjoyed the bakery, the service and the convenient location. The outdoor patio , upscale ambiance and food is incredible. OG donut was great, their everything cookie is divine. This used to be one of my go to spots since 2021. Complaints : Staff wasn't super friendly. I got ignored standing waiting to be helped. No hello nothing. Then the employee grumpily spun the tip iPad screen at me No cash accepted is annoying AF. Plastic only?? Can you say demonization? The $5.50 latte i got tasted off no foam. I went back and they said they pour "nonfat" by default? WTH they remade it for me no problem with whole milk extra foam but still barely any foam.. they use some push button machine that makes the shot no skill or freshness to the grounds. Still tasted heavy like sludge in a glass of whole milk, with a long burnt finish on the palette. And I'm a coffee guy. WTH Last visit few weeks ago the latte wasn't as bad and they asked me what milk i wanted. Now i guess they just dish out nonfat. What a gem! The Station is an upscale coffee shop/cafe at a gas station, located on Main Street in the heart of St. Helena! The coffee shop/cafe part was converted from a gas station convenience store and is a charming upgrade. And the gas station is still fully functional. We were driving through St. Helena on our way to Yountville and had to stop. It's been over a year since my last visit. They moved most of the grab-and-go prepared foods to a fridge before the order counter (rather than at the order counter), and I imagine that this is much more efficient when they get busy. It was a HOT afternoon and approaching dinner time so we went light: purchased a Grain Bowl ($13 for a large portion seemed reasonable for wine country!), an iced sport tea (do it!), and an iced black tea. The grain bowl was fresh and flavorful: mixed greens, harissa roasted sweet potatoes, pickled beets, quinoa, brown rice, beet pickled egg, crispy chickpeas, lemon-Dijon vinaigrette). So much pickled punch! We stood outside to enjoy our treats before getting back on the road. Note: there's outdoor seating only - it's along the side and back of The Station with umbrellas and shade. Peculiarly (or perhaps purposely) there aren't tables...just bench seats and separately a ledge/counter that you can stand at. All good, we didn't have time to linger. There are clean restrooms out back, and there's a small parking lot. But we found street parking. We'll be back to The Station...and next time we hope to try the new Station Pizza too: whole pies Wednesday-Sunday from 4:30 until sold out! read more

Never use their online order system if you have any time urgency at all. They typically take 35 minutes for a coffee order and can run upwards of an hour if you want food. They don't seem to process these orders differently from the line and it's just a huge waste of time. Today I placed an order at 9:40 and arrived for pickup at 10am. Nobody in line. 1 person waiting for an order. And they still took another 10 minutes for latte - 30 total, and when I pressed them on why they said they didn't start making it until after I arrived. Just show up and order, but their online orders which meant system isn't useful and this has never been a place that understands "fast". read more

We loved everything about this place! It's a gas station looking restaurant that is outside and you just walk up and order. You can actually get gas heat as well. Very cute place to be at and take pics. The service was great, all of the workers were very polite and it was pretty quick. We absolutely loved the hot honey pepperoni pizza 10/10. We also got the regular cheese and pepperoni which were good also but not as amazing as the hot honey pepperoni. Great prices as well! For all 4 slices we paid 21$.
