Don't go here if you need anything to do with watches. I needed pins replaced for my Seiko watch bracelet and I gave Chris a call before going there. He said any other pin will work and it doesn't have to be a proprietary pin as I suggested. He replaces the pins and the next day they are coming out. I go back the next day and I'm told he isn't in and only he knows how to do it in the shop. On my third visit I am told by Chris to buy a new bracelet altogether and no refund was given. read more

Purchased a diamond engagement ring. After several months, just shy of a year my spouse confided in me that the ring was developing some kind of brown tarnish color. I was so embarrassed that she had suffered with seeing her engagement ring tarnish. I wanted to rectify this situation as quickly as possible minimizing more emotional turmoil and with a minimum of additional cash. W. Kodak Jewelers satisfied both desires :-) I took the ring back to W. Kodak Jewelers. The only warranty they had provided was their verbal promise. So I was concerned at how they were were going to rectify this situation. My spouse had lost all trust in the previous ring manufacturer so a mere replacement was out of the question. Their first response was to suggest merely cleaning the tarnished ring. That suggestion was denied. As previously stated my spouse wanted to sever any tie with the manufacturer. Next solution was to transfer the good diamond to another ring. This solution was exactly what my spouse wanted. The new ring was several hundred dollars more than the old ring. W. Kodak promptly gave me a discount to minimize the additional cash expenditure. They transferred the old diamond into a new ring within a small time frame quicker than their original forecast. Finally when I arrived to pick up the new ring with the old diamond transferred into it, they waived the outstanding additional balance due. My wife is very satisfied with the new ring, now she loves to show off her wedding hand. I spent a small amount of additional cash to resolve the situation. W. Kodak kept the their verbal warranty promise. read more

I was a loyal customer for many years. In fact, I began going in there before Chris was the owner. I also recommended the jeweler to many people. I believe in the past 5 years, I've spent over $10k on several pieces. I even had my stepdaughter get her engagement ring through him! I thought I had a good, friendly relationship with Chris. But I was very turned off when I went in there after I had purchased a moissanite ring from another jeweler, and wanted him to make the matching band. He trashed the other jewelry store (which came highly recommended by Charles and Colvard themselves), claimed my stone was likely fake and made me feel very uncomfortable. In spite of that, I still bought my new wedding band from Chris. When I picked it up a couple of weeks later, as it took forever to come in (I had to call and keep checking in with them, which was never the case before!), I was excited to see Chris and see his thoughts on how the set looked together. Mary was very nice. She came over with the ring, said it was beautiful. I then said hello to Chris who was at his desk and he was cold as ice. Didn't even look up and make eye contact. I said, "aren't you going to come over and see how it looks?" He should see how it fits! He's the jeweler. Two bands, if not fitted properly can rub together and damage the gold, and he said: "Nope, too busy here, Mary is fine." I was appalled! He was so bitter that I got another piece of jewelry elsewhere or thinks I'm a pain. Either way, I won't be going back and neither will my family. Customer service is everything. No wonder we are all shopping online. How hard is it to be nice??? read more

What a great experience! Stopped in to see if I could get a chain repaired and found they had to send it out. They gave me a quote a told me it would be back in a week. I picked up the chain (looked great - you couldn't tell where it was broken at all) and I had my watch battery replaced. While Chris was changing the battery, I fell in love with a sideways cross necklace. Luckily with Valentine's Day close by, my husband bought it for me!
