Food is how I remembered it when we were leaving here but the portions are awful. They need to have a better ventilation for all the smoke as well.

WARNING you only get a free kids meal if you order a bowl. so if you get a family meal and plan to get your kid a free chicken bowl, youre SOL all in all, not as good as flame broiler. both are friendly to the gluten and dairy intolerant, big plus! it has an alright ambiance.

I believe this is my first time at a WaBa grill. The place looks clean and well lit.you can also see them cut up the food. The veggies are okay. The portions are satisfying. The chicken was very tasty, and the steak was well cooked. They both are good selections. I recommend adding some spice if you get steak. Overall, very good experience, and I might come back again.

Food was yummy. I didn't see the inside because we ordered take out. However the food was just right and hit the spot.

The hubby and I love Waba Grill but the last couple of visits have not been the best . I like to give businesses a second or even a third chance to redeem themselves but Waba just fails every time . The waba bowls have been pretty much half full . I'd like to feel somewhat full or satisfied but not the case . My previous visit my chicken Waba bowl had a hair in it. "Disgusting " that spoiled my appetite. I would definitely like some consistency on the amount that is served but unfortunately it seems to be impossible!

The chicken fingers were hot, juicy, and perfectly crispy, with that familiar seasoning that never misses. Simple menu, but they execute it well. The Texas toast was buttery and golden, the crinkle-cut fries were solid, and Cane's Sauce did most of the heavy lifting as usual. Everything tasted fresh and came out fast, even late at night. The dining area was clean and well-lit, and the staff were friendly and accommodating despite the hour, which always matters. No frills, no surprises--just consistent comfort food that hits when you need it. I'd absolutely come back when I'm looking for something quick, filling, and reliable.

I just add an extra bread. At work, we order the tailgate. The canes sauce is soo good! I normally do drive thru. I once ordered online for pick up and still waited like 20 mins past pick up time. So good luck! There are two lanes for drive thru and workers outside walking to your car to take your order. Then u pull up and another set of workers walk the food to your car. Located along h street in the parking lot of Chula Vista mall.

I came down here because I have a friend from up north who's come down here a few times and suggested this place. He said it's one of his favorite places when he's in town, so that's saying a lot if it's a top place for him and the family. He was right. This was a juicy and incredibly tasty burger. I'd say it's up there with Amboy in Chinatown (Los Angeles) or the newer Amboy spot at Haven City Marketplace in Covina. This place is a gem. Ordering can be a little misleading; hence minus one star. This is a food court setup, and there are menus for each restaurant in these individual stands that are placed on top of a snack wall. If you're going to order from Rey TJ Burgers, it'll be to the left of the main restaurant/register that's directly in front of you when you enter. The main line is Mexican (and seafood I believe?), so I was standing for a while until a lady realized I was holding the Rey TJ burger and called me over. Ordering was easy. Rey TJ's didn't have drinks, so I hard to order from the Mexican food line. The cucumber aqua fresca was AMAZING. Definitely one of the best experiences since I've had since I've moved to the San Diego area. I'm loving it here more and more. I've also had the opportunity to practice a lot of Spanish which I absolutely appreciate. The people here are amazing and much warmer than many of the parts of Los Angeles. Buen dia!

This place fell short of my expectations. My coworkers brought it up to me, therefore we wanted to…read moretry since my son & husband lovessss burgers. It's a food court with its own shared parking lot. When we went in there was a huge line to the door. As you go up the line, there are multiple menus placed to your left in which they have multiple different food options to choose from. Gave me anxiety as I felt rushed coming here for the first time. A line gathering up behind us, ppl in front of me, didn't want to be rude reaching over ppl to grab the menus. So just waited as we moved up to look at them. There's so many options it's overwhelming. Once we got to the front, we were trying to place our order only to find out we waited in line for nothing. The burger line was the empty line to the left which there's no signage or nothing to explain. We did order 1 adobada taco, a horchata, & a sprite. The girl forgot my sprite, told me to go order in the left line for burgers. So when I was placing our burger order, I asked for the sprite I never received. The cashier for burger spot said I have to go back into the other line to order that. Confusing af. Luckily it had 2 customers & not a line out the door like when we first arrived. I ordered the smoked brisket burger, my son the Russel cheeseburger, & my hubby the "burgers & fries." My son did not touch his burger, literally went to waste. My husband said his was ok. As for my brisket burger, I did not like mine at all. It was super salty. It came with a meat patty & CHUNKS of cubed brisket? When I got smoked brisket I assumed it would've been like a pulled pork texture. Quite the opposite. They were chunks of cubed meat. I didn't finish mine. We took everything to go & didn't eat the leftovers once home. We paid around $50 for some less than mediocre burgers that I could've done better at home. I liked that the food court had a self serve salsa bar with plenty of salsas, ingredients, etc. The presentation of the food was good! But the food just wasn't it for us. Probably would never return tbh. Also, when we were wrapping up - the server was hovering over us to finish so she could take the boards/fry basket back. Not like we're gonna steal them. Lol. But I get it, maybe previous patrons have put them near the trash or thrown them away. As the burger place may be its own individual business aside from the food court.

Disappointing Experience at McDonald's on Broadway, Chula Vista…read more I had a truly frustrating experience at this location on 8/22/25 I arrived during a busy lunch hour and was directed to use the kiosk due to the long line. I placed my order at 12:27 PM, but the kiosk failed to print a receipt, so I had to request one from the front counter. After sitting down, I noticed several customers receiving their food--even those who ordered after me. By 12:53 PM, my order number still hadn't appeared on the screen. I approached the counter, where multiple customers were already expressing frustration with the service. When I asked about my order, the employee named Gabby snatched the receipt from my hand without a word. Several nearby customers even commented on how rude that was. Gabby then walked to the kitchen and said in Spanish, "I need four chicken strips please," which made it clear my order hadn't even been started. After waiting another four minutes, I had no choice but to cancel--I was on my lunch break and couldn't afford to wait any longer. This experience was unacceptable: 26 minutes for a simple order that hadn't even been initiated, paired with dismissive and disrespectful customer service. I hope management addresses both the operational delays and the need for basic courtesy toward paying customers.
