Love looking forward to WaBa, spending 14 bucks, driving home only to see my order was wrong. Ordered a WaBa bowl which has no steak and only chicken. The chicken was good, rice was dry and not getting my steak was obnoxious otherwise I would've just made chicken at home.

I don't usually eat here but I wanted something healthy, quick and fresh and this was the nearest thing that offered that. I ordered their chicken bowl and saw signs for their Boom Boom tacos and tried the steak one. I could not believe how good the steak taco was! If the Hawaiian food restaurants they would add this to their menu. The steak taco was thin pieces of meat marinated in teriyaki sauce and placed in a thin tortilla with cabbage, green onion and spicy mayo. It's literally the best tasting thing there. I ordered the taco trio the next day. I don't care for rice, so this is a great compromise and you won't get full from the rice but you will be full if you get the taco trio. It's one of those hold menu items that will hold you over. I've yet to try the shrimp and chicken tacos but I'm good with the steak tacos.

Before they used to put enough to fill one person smh.

I went in for two chicken bowl. Bowl have little to no chicken. Went a couple months ago and it was good. Idk if they running out of chicken but this is crazy

$15.82 if you ask for veggies need to pay $3.00 dlls more .

I went to waba about a month ago and I ordered a Bowl with two meats and vegetables included the price of the bowl was $15.82 than I went back July 1 and purchased the same Bowl but this time the cashier charged me extra for the vegetables I ask her why she charging me more and she told me I have to pay extra I refuse to pay extra because I never paid extra before and my plates have s little meats comparing to the other times i been there again.

This review is strictly based on their Tacos (New Menu Item). I mean, I can't complain! They were much to my surprise good! I ordered a shrimp, steak, and chicken taco. My favorite was the shrimp. From the cook of the shrimp, tortilla, and toppings (cabbage), the texture of this taco was all on point. Definitely my fave. I also enjoyed the chicken taco. Same type of review with regards to texture as the shrimp. The steak taco was a little too sweet for my liking. It reminded me of a Korean style taco I once had. Not bad at all, just not my favorite. All three tacos are a little on the sweet side but have good flavors. What you see is what you get. If you've had a steak or chicken bowl, you'll be getting the same flavors but in a tortilla with texture and creamy sauce. I see you Waba Grill! I'm not mad at these tacos! Ambience was average like every Waba I've ever visited. The Cashier was friendly and helpful. I would recommend these tacos for sure. They will cost you about $2 each.

I like this place. I would definitely go again. Inside this location is pretty small, not much ventilation for a hot May day, but for the most part there is ample seating for friends. If you plan on bring your baby, like my friend did, you may want to consider where you would place the car seat. The location is located on the busy corner of Grand and Seventeenth street, behind Denny's, next to Game Stop, across the street from Big O' Tires. That should be enough description to NOT get you lost. As far as the food goes, it's quick and delicious. Although I didn't pay for this meal, it did cost my other friend about $20 for two of the same meal - Chicken-steak plate - a combo of beef, chicken, and drink. The combo had a small side salad, diced chicken, diced beef, topped over a bed of rice which, impressively, you have the option of white or brown rice. This huge meal is served in a take-out container so it even seems that this location knows the amount of food they serve their customers. This franchise brags of freshness, no skin on their meat, no frying, no trans fat, and no msg, so you're just going to have to trust the flavor. You options too. Onions? Yes, please. Overall, a great place for a quick eat in this busy area of town. I'd eat here rather than the other locations near by: Denny's, Hometown, McDonalds, KFC, and other junky places...though there is a Subway, but Waba Grill is a good alternative for a hot meal. I recommend bringing great company. It makes for completing your meal as you keep updated with friends.

BUSINESS PERMANENTLY CLOSING 6/28/26…read more Came here with some gals for afternoon tea. It's a cute little restaurant in Old Towne Orange. It's decorated really cute inside and out! Everything was creatively planned and decorated. It was also very clean and spacious inside and out. When you go in, there's a tea sampling station with the menus so you can see which tea you would like to order. Our server was really sweet, but she was the only one serving all of the tables, so she would come by every 10-20 minutes to check on us and some things we asked for didn't make it to the table. If they had more servers, customers would be happy with quicker service. The food and tea were delish! There were 6 of us so we shared a bunch of different teas. I really enjoyed the teas they had. The sweet and savory treats were really yummy! I really enjoyed them. Each person got 5 little savory treats and 4 sweet treats. I kind of wish we got one or two more for $45, but either way they were delicious! We had a great time and were sad to learn that the business will be permanently closing down tomorrow (6/28/26), I would have loved to continue going back!

We got a variety of dishes to try out, and overall it was just ok. The soup was good but was a little light on ingredients, the papaya salad was decent with a little kick, noodles didn't really have much truffle taste but was ok, green beans were crunchy and probably the best dish here, and the mango sticky rice was not ripe. Most of the mango pieces were hard / not sweet and proportion to the rice was off. The staff was friendly and the space is very open and welcoming. Not sure if I'd come back though unless I was craving the Asian fusion tea service.

I was meeting my foodie friend there at 12:30. The parking lot has limited space, which made it an extra challenge to park. Thankfully I only had to circle the block once to come back and snag a spot. (Meanwhile, my friend got there before me and was already enjoying an appetizer). Orders are placed at the counter and they call your number once your food is ready. The dining room consists of mostly booth seating with one "communal" table, and counter seating with 5ish chairs. There are also a handful of tables set outside. I've really been enjoying banh mi and their Bulgogi beef sandwich sounded great. I also happen to have a thing for popcorn chicken, so I got an order of that to round out my lunch. Oh, and based on the rave reviews I've read about their peach & lychee green tea, I ordered one of those as well. Let me just say, lunch was very satisfying! The sandwich was generously filled the fresh ingredients and the meat to veggie ratio was perfect. I'm not sure what the green sauce was that they finished the sammie off with but it was SO tasty!! I requested the popcorn chicken with medium heat and it was just spicy enough to leave my tongue tingling slightly. My friend saved an egg roll for me and it was also really good. (The tea by the way was very refreshing.) Now, this was my first time here but I never saw anyone come out to check the dining room or wipe down the tables after the lunch rush. This was especially concerning to me because they had a guy doing work on the windows who put his feet/ shoes on the tables right under said windows. Ewww. But aside from the parking challenge and the table hygiene/cleanliness, our visit was quite enjoyable and the food was very good. We would definitely return, but we'll have to plan around the lunch rush!

My only complaint was the service. Our server wasn't very communicative and came across pretty bland and uninterested, which took away from the overall experience. Found it lacking some substance though. Some slices of port and some veggies added in would have balanced the meal out and made it more complete. 4.5/5 So overall, food is still great here although on the bit pricier side compared to other similar soup places nearby. THE BAD: as stated from another reviewer, customer service is horrendous here. Really makes me giving 15% way too much for what nonexistent service you get. They even start their auto-tip at 18% as their lowest level. My initial review I was forgiving on this as they are a new establishment and I want them to do well. However, being the 4th time there, it's like pulling teeth to just get water refills or anything else. The front staff you can tell do not want to be here. They say welcome more out of routine then actually welcoming you to come eat. When refilling water, the new waiter was annoyed I didn't bring my glass up to get filled fast enough for him to stand by and do me the favor as he would rather go back to the counter to jump on his phone. It's the same with the main guy talker wears a hat. Both would rather jump on their phones then come check in on you or get you some water. They really should just put a water station or give each table a carafe of water and let us refill it ourselves if they don't want to do it. Being a relatively new restaurant, they should really appreciate all their customers coming in and make them feel welcome as these are the people who will keep them in business and recommend this to others. My suggestion is to find someone to be your host that genuinely likes to interact with people and make them provide an enjoyable dining experience. You can let the other 2 guys just bring food out and bus tables.

They weren't too sweet and had a hint of salt. You could also still taste the natural flavors of the egg yolk. Absolutely delicious! I also enjoyed the lotus root crispy fries. Do not be alarmed if you bite into one and find a stringy substance in there. That is normal apparently. It was my first time trying lotus root crispy fries and I enjoyed them a lot! More than I thought I would. The tomato beef noodles were also delicious as well. I thought the noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth was very tomato-y and beefy. The only thing was the kale. It really didn't do anything to the dish so other than just being a green, leafy veggie, it really didn't need to be there. Same with the parsley. The beef rolls were also quite nice. I thought that the ones I had dine-in were perfectly crispy with just the right of sauce to not overpower the other ingredients in the roll. Also, some places skimp on the meat and fill up the "beef" roll with too much cucumber. I thought this place was very balanced with the beef and cucumber! I did however, order a second beef roll to go and noticed that they didn't put enough sauce. So, that seemed a little inconsistent. I also ordered the spicy wontons and they were so delicious that I ordered a second one to go! Overall, I thought the experience was a great one. The service was good and friendly. And I am SO glad we did because everything about our experience was seriously a 10/10! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was amazing. The gentleman at the front greeted us and escorted us to our table, and right away we felt welcomed and comfortable. Our server, Quang, was absolutely the sweetest! He was so friendly, outgoing, attentive, and helpful, especially when it came to giving us recommendations since it was our first time there. He had such a positive energy and really made our experience even better. And the FOOD!!! If I could give it 1,000/10, I seriously would. We tried the Ube Cloud, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Garlic Parmesan Fries, Spicy Shrimp Wontons, Corn Ribs, Garlic Butter Prawns, and Filet Garlic Noodles, and honestly, there wasn't ONE thing we didn't enjoy. Everything was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. But what really stood out to us was that it wasn't just the food -- it was the entire experience. The staff, the atmosphere, the music, and just the overall vibe made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. The music they were playing was amazing too! My friend and I were enjoying ourselves, eating good food, listening to good music, and just having such a great time. The whole place honestly had such a warm, homey feeling to it. When we were leaving, the gentleman who had greeted and seated us earlier ended up having a whole conversation with my friend and me. He was so sweet and personable! He mentioned that they may be opening a location in Culver City, and I told him I really hope they do because that would be much closer to home for me. I was even joking with him that if they open one, they need to bring the whole staff from this location over there too because everyone here was THAT amazing. At the same time, even if there ends up being a location closer to me, I would honestly still make the drive back to this one. When you visit somewhere for the first time and have such a great experience, that location becomes special. You can visit the same restaurant somewhere else, but the people, atmosphere, and experience aren't necessarily going to feel the same. This location definitely left that kind of impression on us. I really hope this review reaches management because the staff here deserves the recognition. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful, and Quang especially took such great care of us. This was our first time at VOX Kitchen, but it DEFINITELY won't be our last. We're already talking about coming back and bringing our family and more of our friends so we can all enjoy it together. 10/10 food. 10/10 service. 10/10 atmosphere. 10/10 experience.
