DEFINITELY NOT GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE ANYMORE! I got overcharged with $5.00. I ordered their special, 2 orders of 2 for $10.98 chicken bowl. I saw on the cash register, it was $28.88 total. I gave $40, he gave me $11.12 as my change. I was doing a mental calculation that with a 10% or even 20% tax added to it will still be less than that total. He didn't give me a receipt so I asked for it and what showed on it was I gave the exact amount of the bill, which was $23.88!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Went to the grocery store right next to it to recollect my thoughts and wait till my food is ready for the fear of he might do something with my food. When I came back, I told him that he overcharged me but he denied it saying he gave me the right change. I was even going to ask for the Supervisor or the Manager but realized he's by himself. Being a visual learner, I remembered what I saw on that cash register and it's the same amount that he told me to pay. It is upsetting because this is very close to my house and they open early. A good alternative to the typical burger and fries fast food. Waba Grill is essentially like Flame Broiler but with the inclusion of seafood (salmon and shrimp). The food tastes fresh and there's definitely options to make each entree less calories and more low-carb. You can pay a little extra to add brown rice. I only wish there was an option to add shrimp to each bowl or plate for an additional charge. Instead, I have to buy a separate shrimp bowl just to get my shrimp fix. read more

The business itself is family run and owned, coupons being pushed out at least once a month if you're local. Walking into this restaurant you are immediately greeted and the staff behind the counter will acknowledge you as a customer. Your order will be taken quickly and checked to make sure it's to your satisfaction. My favorite is the Veggie Waba Bowl (Beef and Chicken) or the Chicken Rice Bowl. Either or the vegetables are fresh, the service is quick, the staff is friendly, and the experience itself should be as most fast food chains achieve to be. Their location on Beach Blvd and Ball is the pits-never going back! Based on co-associates recommendation, I had the kale salad with chicken-hold the sauce. The set-up to this place is awkward, and didn't like seeing the cook cutting my chicken, should be behind a wall or something-just looked weird. Back to my salad...how can you go wrong with kale! Chicken was cold, and after telling them I didn't want the sauce-I got it anyways! $1.00 for half of an avacado-I must have been delirious or hungry. There's a bunch of Waba Grills in the area, and this new location is the most convenient for my work. I really like being able to customize things here, whether it's brown or white rice or all vegetables. Helps me out quiet a bit when I don't have time to cook and bring something from home. The location in a strip mall is easy enough to find, and the store is clean overall. I can see why some complain about cleanliness though because the front doors are open ALL the time, so insects fly in pretty frequently. Can't say it bothered me though because I took everything to go. Service was fast and friendly, so no issues there. I ordered a half and half veggie bowl with extra vegetables for around 8 bucks. Little pricey but I'll manage. In terms of food, Waba is advertising itself as a healthier teriyaki bowl. That might be true and I do appreciate seeing salmon and shrimp options, but the teriyaki is a bit too sweet for my liking. I'll ask for less sauce next time. With that being said, it's a fast and decently healthy place near my work. I'll give them 3.5 stars and will definitely be back. read more

Very disappointed at the way the manager Maritza P. handled my son's transaction today. My son who has been coming to this place almost every day after school orders either a salmon bowl or chicken bowl every time. He received a plate today and when he told the woman who my son said he has never seen before, she insisted that is what he ordered even though for months since the beginning of the school year he has been ordering a bowl. I went in there to talk to her and she happens to be the store manager and she would not admit the fact that she could have been wrong or would not even attempt to resolve this for a loyal customer who has been coming to this place ever since it opened. I told my son never to go back there because if she can't admit to her fault or if she can't be a decent manager to loyal customers, she obviously doesn't value our business. read more

What more could you ask for?? This location was clean and since it's on the corner it is easy to run in and grab food to go. There wasn't much seating inside the joint, so I could suggest getting it to go, and taking it home to eat while you curl up on the couch with a movie playing. Came the other day And noticed they now serve wraps so I gave it a try and asked for avocado...the lady in the back (I guess the cook ) and a women who seemed like a manager or shift leader were busy talking and I didn't mind it I mean It's whatever. But when I got home I noticed my wrap didn't have avocado.. that was really annoying especially since I paid 1.90 extra for it. So Maybe next time the manager and cook should pay more attention and know how to multitask instead of gossiping about other employees. read more
