HIGHLY RECOMMEND! My husband & I found Yaho Grill in Yelp! , looking for a spot with teriyaki chicken (but we didn't want a Chinese food spot, flame broiler, waba grill, etc.). We were greeted by a sweet young lady who helped us with recommendations & did not make us feel rushed to order. Our food was made fresh & fast! They offer green onions, jalapeños, and pickled onion in a self-serve container. They also offered hot sauce, teriyaki sauce & dressing -- and they weren't selfish about how many we wanted (we only got 1 each but she would've given more). All the sauces were so good! The dressing & the pickled onions were a great compliment to our meal. My husband ordered the beef rib & chicken plate, I got the beef & chicken plate. Plates came with rice, veggies & half an orange. Good portions! We both couldn't finish our plates! Not only was the food delicious! They are located in a plaza with ample parking available.I went during lunch on a weekday and it wasn't very busy. The cashier who took my order was kind and friendly. The place looked clean and they had a decent amount of chairs and tables. I had a to-go order but didn't have to wait too long for my food to be ready. I ordered the Salmon Teriyaki Plate - the portions were generous, I liked that it came with some steamed veggies and some orange. The salmon was tender and delicious. OMGosh I love this place. I still love this place. We usually get the beef/chicken teriyaki with steamed veggies and then just enter into the Yaho Grill food coma that we know so well. I love the extra teriyaki sauce and the hot sauce we can get on the side. In general I don't love steamed veggies at home, but I LOVE Yaho's steamed veggies, especially with the teriyaki and hot sauce. The service is excellent, also. Michelle (I believe her name is) usually takes care of us, and she remembers our order, brings an extra plate, brings our sauces to the table, and is so friendly and polite. I love yaho grill! I used to go at least once a week but I moved away and can't find any other teriyaki places like yaho :'( Their food is consistently fresh and delicious. They have green onions and pickled jalapeños&carrots as self serve on the side which is a plus. I usually get their chicken teriyaki plate or the chicken&beef teriyaki plate. We decided to stop by and checkout Yaho Grill while searching for decent teriyaki chicken restaurants in the area based on reviews and the rating. It's easy to overlook this restaurant, as it's tucked in a corner of the busy plaza next to the bar. There are plenty of parking spaces, but it can be hard to find an open spot since you're right across from the college and in a very popular plaza. The parking is one thing, but when you go to enter the restaurant, there's a guardrail that stretches across the front of the entrance...something to keep in mind so you don't walk right into it while exiting. I decided to try their spicy pork plate, and my wife opted for the chicken steak teriyaki plate. They give you a decent amount of food, so you should be pretty good to go, but make sure you grab a drink if you get the spicy pork.....it burns really good. I would come back for the spicy pork. I started regretting it about three bites in, but by the time I finished, I thought about the next time I would come back....just need to prepare myself a bit. It's like Hot Cheetos or Takis....yes it burns...but in a good way. In fact, I started eating here during my hubby's Cypress College days, which was back in the early 2010's, I think that's around the time I got hooked eating their food. This place is not closed. I called in an order to pick up and today is August 26, 2025. The food tastes great and the portions are a good amount. The chicken and steak plate costs $11.49. I called to place an order to go and the man who took my order was friendly. When I got to the restaurant it was fast and easy to pay and pick up. The girl behind the counter was also nice and friendly. I'll be ordering from here whenever I'm in Cypress. I recommend this restaurant. Me and my family have been going to this establishment for years now. One of my favorite places to go and eat personally. My food is always cooked to perfection and (when I say this I mean it,) I never once had a problem with the food at Yaho Grill ever! Some of the best service i've ever had in my lifetime. First off, super fast service no matter how busy they are, your food is always done in 10 minutes or less. Great for on the go! I will admit, it's not what I was expected - I was expecting more than just basically, teriyaki and rice. I was hoping for than options, but my expectations didn't change my opinion on Yaho Grill. The wife ordered a chicken bowl and I order chicken and shrimp. The service was great, the food was good, and the inside was clean and welcoming. The food was fresh, and I enjoyed the sauce that they offer on the side . It all came out quickly and it was super quiet inside and very mellow. Came here with my dad, my sisters and a couple of the inlaws for dinner when I was visiting them while on vacation. Honestly, the food was just ok, but the service was outstanding. Yahoo Grill is in a small strip mall across the street from Cypress College. Depending on when you visit the restaurant, parking, which is free, may be challenging since the shared parking lot isn't all that big to fully support the customers that visit all of the nearby businesses. The seven of us came in two cars and were able to get parking spaces, probably because it was after 7 pm on a Thursday night. This restaurant is on the small side, so I can see customers having to request their orders to go during peak times due to not having enough places to sit inside. The restaurant was clean. Drinks were self serve from beverage dispensers. The menu includes meals in the form of plates, bowls and salads (with protein), and kid's meals are also on the menu. The service is outstanding! The employees were so welcoming, and they didn't have an issue with the seven of us coming in during their last business hour that day. Prices are very reasonable; however, the food quality for some of the meats isn't the best. While my family members ate, it looked like some of them had issues with their food. My sister-in-law looked like her beef rib meat was chewy, which she later said was tough. The shrimp was overdone. Those of us who had chicken or teriyaki didn't have any issues with chewing those meats, and they were cooked perfectly, as were the veggies and rice. The veggies, however, lacked flavor. read more

This is my secret gem every time I come back from college! I always crave this spot whenever I'm not home. For the past decade they've had the best grilled chicken and shrimp ever!! This review is long time coming. First, they're food is consistently delicious. They're salmon is always spot on, and I love that they don't charge for extra veggies (no rice). However, they're customer service is next level. We called to check the time they close, apparently they were closing within 5 minutes, and the young lady insisted that they'd wait for us. When we got there, the gentleman man cooking our food insisted we shouldn't rush and eat there. I had company waiting at home so we declined, but it was so kind for them to offer.
