I have been to the Maple Grove location and would note, that is a better location. Worth the drive…read more Before arriving, you are asked to fill out paperwork. I'm not sure why this location asked, because they didn't seem to follow anything I wrote. This was for my boyfriend's birthday and his name was not on the sign when we walked in, despite me listing that in the paperwork. In the past for my birthday, I have also gotten a card. But nothing here. My boyfriend also didn't want his feet touched and that was also listed in the paperwork. Unfortunately that was not followed. We were brought to our locker rooms and they were clean, had our names and chocolates in the lockers. Very nice touch! Our robe sizes and slides were also in our lockers. There is a large shower, 2 bathroom stalls and vanity with make up lighting. We then walked to the lobby area. This was where we started to have thoughts. Employees were talking in full volume. Not very relaxing. They also kept coming in and out of the room, talking, stocking snacks constantly! Again not very relaxing. The water was nice with a lemon. My boyfriend went to get water for hot tea but the water was room temp. Not very comforting. The massages were nice. I had Ingrid and she was lovely! She did a great job and was soft in speaking during the massage. My boyfriend said his massage therapist was talking at normal volume and didn't find it as relaxing. Afterwards we said in the lobby area again. In my opinion, the fireplace at maple grove is more welcoming and comforting. This place had what looked like a diffuser and eventually it turned off and started beeping. Again not relaxing. The lobby area is also larger at the maple grove location. This location left me a bit perplexed as to why the reviews are better here than at the maple grove location....

Online was a little confusing, so I called and things were sorted immediately. The space is great! Very clean and relaxing. The staff is incredibly helpful. They escort you around and are very accommodating. You arrive 30 minutes before your appointment, change into a robe and slippers, and wait in the quiet room. Tea, water and cookies were provided. We also got a warm neck wrap. Our pedicures took place in the nail room. Only two chairs, so very private. The treatments we had were great and very relaxing! I had Kassidy and she was wonderful. I'd definitely return in the future.

I am…read morea challenge for any masseuse, because I have old injuries, plus a physically demanding occupation, that make my neck, shoulders and back stiff and "knotty" and leaving there today I felt literally the best I have felt in months ( maybe even years). I plan to book regular sessions to keep me feeling this good and keep my stiff old joints limber and feeling fine. Can't say enough nice things about everyone there...everyone I met was so kind and welcoming and the Aveda products they use makes the whole place smell fabulous. I love the new location ( just across the St. Croix River in Taylors Falls MN) in a gracious old home, and I felt my tension levels drop pretty much as soon as I walked through the door. This is a great place for anyone to visit alone or as a girls spa day!

Its an Aveda spa located in an old house with warmth, charm & character. If you choose to purchase Aveda products, you'll be pleasantly surprised with pricing more reasonable than most salons. If you have time, there are a number of fun shops and restaurants to explore close by and there's a park on the river about a block from spa.

As soon as we entered, we were greeted warmly and offered a delightful scented hand towel. A staff member gave us a brief tour and guided us to our personalized lockers, which had our names on them--such a charming touch. Inside the lockers were our slippers and robes--sizes taken at the time of booking--and a piece of chocolate, which was a lovely surprise! Next, we moved to the waiting area to fill out our forms, which was softly lit and featured a fireplace, along with a snack bar and refreshments. While we waited, a staff member brought us heated pads for our necks and shoulders that carried a refreshing scent. He also checked to see if we needed anything like tea or sparkling water, which felt wonderful. Finally, we went in for our massages; we both opted for the deep tissue therapy. My massage therapist, Ashley, was fantastic--very friendly and attentive. She asked questions about my problem areas and got right to work. I can confidently say it was the best massage I've ever had, and I highly recommend it. I've already arranged to return for my birthday; everything was exceptional--10

The only issue I encountered was at checkout, where the staff member behind the desk attempted to communicate with me. Her manner was off-putting and negatively affected my overall experience. I kept telling her I wanted them more slim and she said " ok yes! I know! I will do it at the end" gave her some faith but still ended up looking hideous.. I'm so tempted to cut them off but I leave for vacation. my appt was at 4, she had another appt @4:30, and we didn't finish til about 5 so her 4:30 appt was waiting on her and felt like she was trying to get me done and over with so she can go to her next client.. honestly wanted to add some cute nail art or design..clearly by the vibe they wouldn't have time for me. She then Drilled my skin it started bleeding right away. My fingers are currently stinging.. and I have TWO CUTS on my pinky and ring finger.. she then gave me an attitude when I told her she forgot to put clear coat on two of my nails.. overall the whole experience was terrible I walked out so eff'N annoyed. I honestly didn't even wanted to tip her but still did.. I hate going to nail salons where they act like they don't even wanna do nails in the first place. This was my 3rd time but after this experience I will probably not come back sadly.. I wouldn't waste my time or money again especially if I'm paying $70 for plain nails and terrible service.
