I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant; unfortunately, I left very disappointed. The decor and ambiance was very nice as I expected; however, the food was a major let down. The waitress was nice (yet seemed not very experienced) gave the specials that included Scallops entree, and thats what I decided to order, just to be told they had run out. I was very surprised as there were only a few other people in the whole restaurant at that time. I decided to try the miso salmon as recommended by the waitress. The whole meal (aside from the Brussels sprouts) was extremely bland (no flavor) and the salmon tasted not fresh at all. I only took a couple bites and contemplated sending it back; however I was there with someone I was meeting for the first time so decided not to. Came here during Valentine's Day weekend with my husband. It was busy but we had reservations and were seated immediately. Our waitress was nice but seemed overwhelmed. This is a beautiful restaurant decided in dark greens and wood textures it feels like you're in the heart of Dallas. They have parking which is great but my husband and I somehow entered through the back door accidentally so they maybe should add signage . The food was phenomenal. Wings perfectly cooked . My steak was medium as requested but could've used a touch of salt. The fried were perfect but we had to ask for ketchup twice. My drink was supposed to have a foam that was missing but was otherwise really really good. My only complaint was the spinach and artichoke dip. The croistinis were a little too toasted and were hard and messy to bite. The dip itself was more cheese than spinach and artichoke and was way too watery in texture. It also seemed to be made with a yellow cheddar cheese where lost I've hard are mozzarella or white cheddar.I wouldn't order it again but I definitely want to return for brunch and to try other dinner and drink options! Place was overpriced and not great. We had dinner at 5:30 and were 2 of maybe 6 people in the restaurant and there were at least 4 servers. The restaurant and location are both very nice with a great ambiance. Our waitress was fairly attentive but slow at times, no big deal. They didn't have any steak on the dinner menu tonight (Wednesday) so that was very strange (who doesn't serve steak at an American restaurant?!) but even though this TEXAS American restaurant didn't have steak, they did have a "catch of the day"......pan fried COD lol. I'm not sure they understand what a catch of the day is. So we both had the salmon lol. It was pretty good but slightly overdone. We finished dinner with the fried blueberry pie to share and coffee. Great Sunday brunch experience, from valet to hostess, servers and bartenders we enjoyed our time. Our server Leah had excellent pairing suggestions and was very personable. The restaurant is an entire vibe, no details were spared. We each thoroughly enjoyed our meals we ordered the deviled eggs, salmon toast, migas scramble bowl, chicken and waffles as well as steak and eggs. This was our second visit, first time for brunch. Reservation process was great, both of my requests were met. The valet guys are great and no charge! It's a pretty place, lighting, and comfortable seating. My one issue was the inside temperature, way too hot, even the staff was trying to cool down. We shared the deviled eggs. Yum. My husband had the hot chicken sandwich-huge and fries. He enjoyed both, could have used more heat. My son in law had the club sandwich, it was okay could have used a more flavorful condiment. My daughter had the Asian chicken salad. She had hoped for a few gluten free options. I had the million dollar bacon. Wow! This was so good, cooked perfectly, and the tables favorite. Lunch was for a birthday and we had choices for the complimentary dessert, and good choices! The fried pie with ice cream is amazingly delicious, perfect end to the meal. It's laid-back, social, and you almost forget you're in Rockwall... until the HOA whispers, "No fun after dark." Come sunset, it downshifts into sports bar meets casual dining, which works -- just don't expect thumping music or neon cocktail fishbowls. Instead, it's a solid dinner-with-drinks spot where the volume stays under "annoy-the-neighbors" levels. Let's get to the real stars: the apps. The Dynamite Cauliflower? A sleeper hit. So we originally were supposed to have a party for 45 and ended up being over 60 and Wades Landing did not miss a beat. The service was amazing they pitched in with the decorations. The food was awesome. They made a cake for my wife's 60th birthday I highly recommend this place. The owner also pitched it with their decorations and setting up. They sure had a way of making me feel special. I have been very impressed with each dish I've tried. Bartender even made me a non-alcoholic mojito, which was spectacular. We ordered some food to go to try Wade's out as the initial reviews have been good. In driving up there is not a lot of parking, but they do have valet and the valet was friendly. He kept our car out front since we were getting to go. When we entered, we were greeted by several hostesses and what I think was the owner. They were very friendly. I ordered the It's 5 o'clock somewhere while I waited for the food. It was a good drink, they did some neat little fire thing with the cinnamon and it was very customized. They take pride in their cocktails here. We ordered a few apps: ahi tuna tacos- very good, calamari- good, I wasn't a fan of the sauce but my wife was, and the fried filet tips. These had a lot of seasoning (in a good way) and the tenderloins were really soft. Hard to describe, but I could take a bite and bite it in half easy, you don't have to chew them a bunch or gnaw off a piece. I think I am saying that poorly, but they really integrated well and the sauce complimented them very well. This is a standout dish. We also ordered burgers. I don't think they are ever as good when you transport a burger as you are going to lose some crispiness on the bun and fries and cold and hot are mixed for a bit, but this burger was still pretty fantastic when we got home. The fries were still pretty darn good. I want to go back and try this burger fresh, because it is one of the better burgers around. We will definitely be going back. They are planning to stay open until midnight which is really needed in Rockwall. I didn't look at the balcony, but in the past it has been awesome for summers. The inside looks pretty bright and open and overall it had a pretty positive and cool vibe. read more

We were shocked to discover this new gem in Rockwall. This place looked so high end from the entrance. Like we stepped into somewhere in uptown, Dallas. We started with the drink of the week (which was a gin / almond / raspberry / thyme drink) and the Drunk on a Plane drink complete with a paper airplane. These cocktails looked like something we would typically get at a speakeasy in uptown or Fort Worth and were delicious. We got the appetizer feature for the week which was a peach burrata. Only complaint here is that the peaches could have been a little more ripe, but still good flavor over all. After watching order after order of deviled eggs come out of the kitchen, we decided to try them for ourselves. I didn't even want deviled eggs, but will be going back for them - they were that good. We got a second round of drinks consisting of the Tennessee Whiskey drink and the Buy My Own Drinks. This gin / lavender drink is for sure my new favorite. I also loved all the country song drink names - so cute. Dinner was the Steak frites and the special of the week which was a redfish / rice / gumbo / crawfish and blacked shrimp dish. Everything was delicious. The Parmesan truffle fries were some of our favorites. The steak could have used more seasoning or chimmi sauce in our opinion, but still good. Only complaints would be the menu could use a few more options for dinner selections. Seemed to be appetizer / drink heavy. However, I could have made a meal out of their drinks and apps with how good it all was. I also wish our view out of the back of the restaurant wasn't facing towards a playground and a dumpster... kind of offsets the beautiful ambience inside. Just a suggestion - I would add trees or something to distract from that. Our servers were on point as well with recommendations and their attentiveness. Think our server was Leah? Nice to see a classy new destination for dining in Rockwall, Texas. The former Londoner location has been nicely remodeled. Parking: first-time Rockwall visitors Valet Parking is a good option. 308 Fannin is on a blind curve of Hwy 66, put your turn signal on early. Option: You can park in other lots not posted, and take the short walk up. Very nice bar counter, with 15 comfy stool seats with backing. 2 high quality big screens. Full Bar, No beertaps, yet. A decent line-up in cans and bottles. Rockwall's very own Siren Rock Brewery is represented! I had already eaten spicy enchiladas earlier. A nice cool salad sounded good! The plain Caesar Salad I ordered was delicious, fresh, good quality ingredients. The dining room is very nice, with cocktail tables near the bar. The seating extends way to the back, with booths for 4 and dining tables for 4. The big deluxe party booths are still toward the back, room for 6 to 8. The back patio was remodeled very nice! Excellent! Made a 6:15 reservation on a Saturday night. Was able to get seated upon arriving at our reserved time. Caitlin was our server and she was knowledgeable about the menu, funny, and sweet. Ordered the meatballs and burrata for apps. Both just okay. The drinks were excellent! I had a party of four and the consensus all around were great tasting and strong drinks! The star of the show was the Red Wine Braised beef Short Ribs! 10/10!! Also tried the crème brûlée (a first for me so may not be super knowledgeable) but I enjoyed it! Tried multiple cocktails- pricey for an old fashioned but good drinks. Food-deviled eggs, bland, need some flavor! Truffle fries- great. Chicken parm hero- good for a sandwich. Steak on the steak frites- terrible-steak was cooked correctly, surprisingly, but the cut was not a filet, a sirloin is not a filet, upcharging on sirloin is ridiculous! For one of the most expensive items on the menu, I thought it would be great, as it is a recommended dish as well, but the only good thing on the plate was the truffle fries. Mothers Day, we made reservations in advance and then they pushed us back a hour then we get there and they tell us we have to wait another hour THEN we finally get seated they tell us it's a minimum of a hour to get food that they have been overbooked and can't handle the crowds today. Ruined my Mother's Day with our family... we got up and left. We will go back but NEVER for any special occasion! read more

There were not many patrons dining in the restaurant. Granted, it was a Tuesday evening but this still should have been our first warning sign. Three of the four of us dining together had so-so meals. The chicken puff tacos looked good and the blue corn shell and a good amount of guacamole were plusses. But the chicken was in chunks rather than shredded and had litttle flavor. The hot chicken sandwich was definitely that - spicy hot! In fact, it was overpoweringly spicy. The branded bun was a nice touch, but the overall sandwich was just not great. The hamburger was adequate, but overcooked. The elotes were somewhere close to horrible. Made with canned or frozen corn and watery. The chicken parm sandwich was the only satisfying meal. It was a bit uninspired - basically chicken parm wrapped in a bun - but had a nice flavor. The million dollar deviled eggs presented very well and were tasty, but overpriced (no, they weren't actually a million dollars but still overpriced for 5 deviled eggs). Service was a bright spot in an otherwise lost cause. Our server was very attentive to our needs and did a great job. Rockwall is a competitive restaurant market. Went for Valentine's Day, was dressed up, made reservation weeks ahead but was walked out to the back of the restaurant outside of the main restaurant where the heater lamps are. I like my waitress. She was very sweet, but the food was just OK very expensive for what you get. May have to try one more time. Hopefully I can be inside the restaurant this time. Overall, great food and atmosphere. Service was great - ask for Rachel. Heard they will be opening their patio and roof top soon for music and reserved parties. The windows have a great view to the park in back. Our appetizer was the Fried Filet Tips, which had a light, crispy batter that let the steak keep the spotlight in flavor. Horseradish dipping sauce was also an ideal compliment/not overpowering. Dinners were Steak Frites that came with Truffle/parmesan fries and a Spring Lettuce mix. The filet steak was perfectly cooked (med rare) with a fresh Cimichurri topping that was not overblended. Flavor also shined in the Fish n Chips with the perfect (light) amount of crisp beer batter. Came with Mushy peas, that had a slight backtaste of mint. Very refreshing. Hand cut fries plus an obviously in house prepared tarter sauce, grilled lemon, and, of course, malt vinegar. Olive oil cake was a pleasant surprise with a blend of passion fruit puree plus Aperol Strawberries (had to look up the spelling on that one to make sure I gave proper credit) as topping on a moist butter type cake. Ordered the signature cocktail "I can buy my own Drinks" and it was exactly as pictured, complete with a crushed Lavender sided glass. Taste was delicious and not overly sweet. The lavender was more of a sensory enhancement to the flavors. Very nice... had 2! So experience #2 - 2 stars vs the prior 5 star review, reason being, our server Shannon was exceptional. Very personable, timely and friendly, 10 stars for Shannon and the level of service she provides. The 2 stars, and being generous at that comes for a variety of reasons. As you can see by my photo, their website advertised a happy hour for tonight, 11/18. Well, turns out they don't honor that although it is clearly published and we were there at 5. No more happy hour except on Friday's apparently. Kind of shady to advertise a deal and then not honor it when patrons show up because of the specials. Secondly, they were out of IPAs, not a huge issue but a factor none-the-less. Additionally, we got there right at 5 and they had just sold out of the catch of the day that was priced astronomically at $58. Unbelievable for a piece of fish that obviously was a few days old if they sold out of it on Tuesday right when they open and they are closed on Monday. Fresh catch, again, falsely advertised. We love their deviled eggs, but unfortunately it was very obvious they were left over from Sunday as they were freezing cold like they just came out of the fridge and did not taste in any way fresh. Very disappointing. Also, my wife's tacos were bland and again, the shrimp and beef tacos tasted very much like it had been cooked previously, bland, tasteless and tough. My steak although requested medium rare was rare, which I don't mind because the flavor was good and the truffle fries were fantastic. All in all, subpar experience and likely won't be back for the prices they charge. Since it was "taco Tuesday," they did advertise on the board inside the restaurant that margaritas were $3 off, of course they still charged full price.
