We where are party of 5,as soon as we came in Sat at the counter. Never received a greeting. The server asked if we were dining in, when we said yes we got an eye roll. All the employees looked as if they hated their jobs and we were a bother. By the time the server started to place our napkins we decided to leave. Apathy...sums up this whole place. This was my second time here, since it's right around the corner from my husband's traveling home. The food boarders on levels of under cooked and sloppy. The wait staff aren't really friendly nor are they really rude-most of them don't talk passed "what do you want" and "here you go". Front of the house cleaning is slightly better than behind the counter...behind the counter...yikes!! But this crew was so friendly and ensured that people were greeted as they came in and as they left, checked on customers frequently and were professional in their conduct. This place didn't disappoint whatsoever. The moment me and my nephew sat down, our order was taken very quickly. My nephew had a plain waffle while I had a blueberry waffle since they're fot limited time only so I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity at all. I have have to say of all the waffles I've ever tried at waffle house, I'd definitely have to go with pecan and blueberry as the best. Great service and excellent attitudes. I know many of us have reserved Waffle House strictly for late night meals. Well, I decided to be a brave soul and order some food in the morning. I called in the order and had to drop in to pick it up. I ordered a Blueberry Waffle, scrambled eggs and hash browns covered in cheese. To my surprise, I had an extra Blueberry Waffle that was of no charge to me because the cook read two waffles instead of one on the order ticket. The meal was decent and would have been better had I gotten there in the five minute time span they'd given me. I reheated the hash browns, eggs and saved my extra waffle for the next day. My visit to Waffle House was on Christmas morning and they were open for business. The restaurant was really busy and the staff was all decked out in Christmas attire. They were very friendly and swamped, so I understood why it took a brief minutes to get to me as I waited for my to-go order. I didn't dine in, so I can't attest to the overall cleanliness of the dining area, but it looked decent. From previous experience, all Waffle House restrooms suck. They are equivalent to a gas station restroom and several visitors treat them as such. It's always easy to find a parking space because customers typically don't spend a lot of time inside. This particular location is just off Wheeler Road and has a stoplight, which makes exiting to the highway much easier than other locations I've visited. Overall, I'd probably visit again for a to-go order, but I think I'll stick to my usual Patty Melt. read more

The night staff is excellent! They are so sweet and funny. We stopped in after a movie last night to talk more about the movie and get a late night snack. I just love waffle houses, diner food is the best and breakfast foods are my favorite. Their hash browns, capped, covered and diced are the best! I love Waffle House especially since they are fast and helpful. I went to this one twIce because I like to give every place a second chance. They are more on the rude-ish side. WhIch is what I experienced the first time, they act like it's a pain you sit down in their section and will delay helping you,, which led to long delay. Second time, I ordered water, 10 minutes later, someone sits next to me and she takes my order and his order at same time. Cook takes forever to receive orders, not really complaining about that, think she was new, but then the waitress never gets back to food. So, someone else was deliverIng and the guy that came in 10 minutes after me got and ate his food before I got mine. I tried to flag her down and ask her to grab it off the ready line. Needless to say, I won't go back to this one, the other four i have been too were great with service and efficiency. I walked in and was not greeted. Sat down for 10 minutes and finally a very unfriendly lady walked over to get our drinks. She walked away before I could even spit out that I wanted a water with my coffee. Another 10 minutes to order my food. Which then took 20 minutes to come out! There was 6 staff members and 3 tables with customers. My waffle came out and I was finished with the whole thing before the rest of my food even hit the table. My waffle was lopsided and odd looking and the majority of my food was burnt. Especially my bacon. Then took another 10 minutes just for us to get our checks back! The place was empty was three of us.. the cook made our food one person at a time my sister got her food last you ordered a BLT none of the food came out correct all orders were messed up except for the BLT the gave us biscuits and gravy that were cold and chunked up they did not cook the hash browns as I asked them to they delivered our food one person at a time in sporadic forum they brought me a salad with just a bed of lettuce and some fried chicken I had to ask for other stuff to go into it the service was not great people were coming in and leaving out because they weren't getting served did not recommend you go there at 12 when nobody else is in there you won't get served right tried to get a picture of the cook ty because she was one of the reasons why we didn't get all of our food at the same time is very strange situation got the picture of her unwillingly at the picture of the girl who is waiting on us I'd like to speak to the manager they overcharged us I asked for a double cheeseburger on the $3 menu and got a single cheeseburger and then got charged twice for my second single because she didn't give it to me the first time went up to get that taken off and they still charged us for an even charges for the hash browns that we're not finished they're not very happy with the services at this place we will skip this place on our next outing at nighttime or daytime. read more

I have been going to this waffle house for over 2 years and tonight was the worst experience I've ever had there. If there was an option to rate a place a negative or zero star, it would be more accurate rating on this place. 1st, it took the waitress forever to get our order, the food took even longer to come out. When my waffle came it was like half of a waffle. I mean, how is a restaurant going to mess up the 1 thing they are supposed to specialize in. The waitress said they got new waffle makers and they are making the waffles small like that. Now my son's waffle was normal size and I showed her the difference, she instantly got a bad attitude and storms off to like tell another waitress I was upset about my waffle and they did offer to make another one for me. But I do not trust them not to do something to my food. So many people were angry and loudly verbalizing their complaints, I just wanted to get out of There before an incident occurred. There were only women working and one of them started loud talking and threatening to go home, she was near tears and I felt so sorry for her because several other customers were complaining about their orders being messed up as well. Well waffle house is waffle house so you know what to expect. With that said let's talk about what just happened. My wife and I walk in and all the open tables have yet to be cleaned off but one. The one table/booth had waffle house workers sitting down talking but got up to allow us to sit down. We sit down and no one comes to greet us or take our order. We wait 15 minutes and nothing. A couple walks in and they immediately get a table cleaned off and there order taken. The funny thing is that the waitress that got out to let us in the booth is the same waitress that took their order. The complete experience was shocking and deliberate. I could understand if she didn't work that area but it was the table right in front of us. So not sure if this was a race thing but kinda makes you wonder! read more

For two large breakfasts with drinks you will be looking to pay just south of $20 with tip. This was not up to the standards I have come to expect from waffle house. The floors were filthy somehow being greasy and sticky at the same time. The table had been wiped down but it was wiped with a dirty towel as it had the nice glossy sticky layer all over the table. The server must have been in la la land. It took a while to get our drink orders and then a refill was hard to come by. We placed our orders and the waitress came back 3 times asking about the specifics. The food also took a good bit longer to come out than I am used to (not busy when we were there).I was told my order was screwed up and if I minded it on texas toast. I said sure no problem.. It was actually on wheat toast. Don't care for wheat at all but I sucked it up. My pickles and mayonnaise were also MIA and had to wait for the server to finally swing back by to have at least the mayo dropped off. When my plate was delivered it was obvious the cook or the server forgot what was to go in the hash browns as the additions were cooked afterwards and just laid on top. Then of course the hash browns were borderline cooked. They weren't raw crunchy but not far from it. and of course they were trying to charge me for the texas toast option that I didn't order and never got. This experience wont put me off of waffle house it will just make me drive a bit down the road to another location. read more

I always am happy to go to Waffle House! I love 24 hour breakfast, waffles, eggs, crispy bacon, who could ask for a better meal!?! We are in Augusta running away from Hurricane Irma. After 16 hours in the car all I wanted was coffee and my favorite breakfast. For some reason all the waitresses were sitting and eating when we came in. The entire time we were there, there was one waitress loudly complaining about her last customer and the poor tip they had left. Other staff were trying to calm her down, which just seemed to make her more agitated . Not only did we have to listen to this the entire time but because if her behavior and attitude, which seemed to involve the entire staff, when received our food everything was cold Still love Waffle House, but staff needs to be trained in proper customer service read more

Staying close by this place so decided to go for breakfast on a Sunday at about noon place was not quite full and had 6 staff members. The place was dirty and the service was slow The food was so disappointing the eggs were very over cooked to the point of being rubber and the hash browns were cold and needed more time on the grill. She was short with me and sounded annoyed. I understood. We all have those nights. When I arrived to pick up the food I tiped 100 percent which may not have been that much but spending $20 on late night munchies is a lot to me. I didn't recieve a thank you and wasn't doing it for one. When I got back home and opened my order half of it was burnt up and half was just wrong. So I grabbed the food and drove back up to this waffle Waffle House. When I told the lady my prolem she looked mad and left me sitting there for 20 min before telling me I could not have a refund...I told her I just wanted my correct order. Just to have her snap back with 'that is your CORRECT order'. (I ordered a bacon egg and cheese biscut and got grits...) so I asked her to pull the paper she wrote my order on when I called which she didn't and went on about her business. Finally, I waved down another lady and told her the miss comminication. A biscuit was brought over to me 45 min later. When I asked for the manager, he was not there or expected in until the next morning. When I asked his or her name along with my waitresses' I was laughed at and she turned her back on me. It was hands down the worst experience I've ever had. That night I called corporate and they listened to what happened but I don't think anything was truly done. And when I called the store the next morning. Still no manager. I hope someone will read this that can maybe influence things enough so this doesn't happen to anyone again. And for me..if I want to eat late night I will be going to the mcdonalds right down the street from this WH.
