Eggs, chicken sausage, hashbrowns & tomatoes
    Tamara G.

I stopped at this waffle house because, well, I had never been to a waffle house in my life and was told that I had to go. I happened to be at a hotel nearby and I stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The staff do greet you when you walk in the door. My server was very nice. But the food was just average. Now it is waffle house so I'm guessing you are supposed to get the waffles, but for health reasons I had to stick to traditional eggs. So I got three eggs, scrambled, with chicken, sausage, and hashbrowns and tomatoes. For everything being cooked to order it wasn't very hot. I would say hashbrowns were probably the best part of the meal, the eggs were fine, but it's kinda hard to to screw up scrambled eggs. The chicken sausage was slightly overcooked, and the tomatoes were not quite ripe and had zero flavor. I think the biggest problem was nobody would come back and ask if I needed a coffee refill which I thought was weird cause normally servers are coming by every couple minutes and asking to top off coffee. I had to ask twice to have my coffee refilled, and I had somebody join me about 20 minutes into my meal who just wanted a cup of coffee and they had to flag down a different server in order to get one. The coffee was GOOD. So anyway, it wasn't horrible, but I would not go out of my way to get breakfast there.

5/5 for Waffle House standards. It's a quick bite to eat that tastes better than fast food. I love the grits and breakfast food. I also like how fast they are cooking and packaging everything when I place a to-go order to pick up. Workstation looked clean so I'm happy!

It was a typical Waffle House experience, but the waitress did a great job with customer service. She was extremely polite and attentive. They were extremely understaffed and there was a crowd but she was able to manage. A few things got sent back and needed to be redone like undercooked has browns that were thrown together and eggs missing the cheese we requested when placing the order. Again typical Waffle House experience, food wasn't bad, and the bathroom or overall restaurant was super duper dirty, but again typical Waffle House. But the waitress was really nice.

Stopped in during the day and it wasn't busy. The waitress was cool and the cook made the food good. Will definitely be back!

So on my journey to ATL, we stopped for gas and across the street was a Waffle House. Never been, but heard of, so we figured "why not?" I must say it is a very non-wow looking spot. But it was clean and the waiter/cashier/cook (Covid19 related most likely) was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a party of seven, ergo given that only 2 people workers were available we did not expect 10 second service. Nice thing about it is the kitchen is open. So we saw his progress. I had the peanut butter waffle. Didn't expect it to be, but it was DELISH!! With seven orders, we had an array of waffles. No-one was disappointed, not even the pickiest among us. Will visit Waffle House again, hands down. Perhaps not this location, but definitely whenever I venture down south. Hopefully I can try other items on the menu and upgrade to a 4 star.

    Yum these Waffles look delicious!

Amazing.... Ly terrible. I should probably wait until the nausea subsides before writing this review. The visit started out with a long wait. The problem wasn't the lack of places to sit but rather the utter failure of the emplyees to bus and clean any spots. In all fairness, it didn't seem like there was any one to blame as there were no defined roles or coordinated activity among the 7 wandering cooks. One lady seemed very focused on bacon but other that that it seemed pure chaos. The man at the register looked one step away from tears and I dont blame him for this mess. There is clearly a litany of management and leadership failures here. The place was dirty too. We finally did sit and when our food arrived the eggs were raw. I mean egg soup. I really hope I didn't get salmonella. Guess what they forgot....the waffles. I kind of wish they never arrived. I mean you would hope a place with Waffle in its name - at the very least - could make decent waffles. They too were underwhelming and somehow both undercooked and burnt. Do yourself a favor and just get the big breakfast from McDonalds next door.

Where do I begin. Whoever is the Regional Manager of this location needs to fire the manager and hire someone who has restaurant experience or someone who knows how to make an egg. I feel terrible for the cook. She was legitimately clueless. I've been coming to Waffle House since I could walk - since I grew up in Atlanta. I asked the cook if she can flip a 4 egg omelette. She couldn't make a 1 egg omelette. She tried 4 times to even make a 2 egg omelette and I decided to order a hash brown bowl. She asked the waiter how to do it and what was in it. That's when I should have left. Then she made my bowl with no egg and added strips of bacon. 1 hour later I'm 35 minutes into a toilet visit wondering if I'll make it to work in the morning. Like I said - whoever is the regional manager of this place needs to find a new manager who will spend time with their staff so they know what the hell to do in there. My bill was $7. I tipped the waiter $10 on top bc I really felt bad for him since he's being graded on the quality of service and food - both which were terrible.

Travelled to this Waffle House on my way home to Philly after spending a weekend in DC. On my route, (84 miles left), my roadie and I stopped at this Waffle House. When we walked in, there was practically no one in the store. We saw that there was one table that still had food on it. We waited 18 minutes while the staff wizzed by us as if we were invisible. On the 19th minute, I saw there was open table that was covered with dirty dishes from the last customer (who had left at least 18 minutes ago). Soon as we walked over to the clutterd table to sit, the waitress shouted her first words: "Hey! He's not done cleaning the table". Okay, so she sounded alittle rude and obnoxious - the short, dark haired waitress, Jazz, a heavier woman who spoke as if she was my mother". After another 5 minutes, she bellowed, "NOW YOU CAN GO SIT DOWN!" I wanted to yell back, "YES Massa!" After being seated for 8 minutes, Momma Waitress Jazz told one of the staff members to come over and serve us. She came over, took our order...then forgot about us. The cook forgot about us too! 28 minutes later, the waitress came back and said "Oh I'm sorry, I'll go put your order in now." My Roadie and I both were staring in disbelief" looked a my Roadie in disbelief! 19 minutes later, the cook came by and said, "I'll start making your order now, I'm so sorry". When we did finally get our food, needles to say...it was delicious! Jazz on the other had, needs to get some customer service skills! She reminded me of Trailer Park Jerring Springing, Pre Britney Spear living, South Park Cartman she really needs to get a job she actually likes - like a female prison gym instructor SO long

That all happened today plus we wanted to introduce our friends to the restaurant. Olivia, our server, was the best. She had a fantastic personality and really made us feel so welcomed and at home. Brenda, you have a star here! We started off with an order of Fried Onion Rings. They were fried to perfection - were huge and were very tasty. Our friends ordered a Grilled Turkey Reuben on Rye Bread loaded with sliced turkey, sauerkraut, 1000 Island dressing, and melted Swiss cheese and a Mamie's Open Faced Hot Sandwich with a huge amount of fresh-baked Turkey Breast topped with gravy and another huge amount of mashed potatoes (check out the pictures). I enjoyed my favorite sandwich, which is Mamie's Favorite Triple Decker Shrimp Salad and Crab Cake Club with chips. My husband was taken aback with the size of his Country Fried Steak and mashed potatoes. Everyone had something to take home with them. The portions are more than generous. The one thing that Mamie's always does that makes them stand out from all the other restaurants is that they give you a free dessert. We were all so full, we took our to go. We took 2 rice puddings and 2 cinnamon cakes home to enjoy later. We had a great time a Mamie's!

Their decor is truly unique, and calling it eclectic isn't doing the interior justice. Every inch of Mamie's oozes Americana, and celebrates Aberdeen's past. Awesome photos, hilarious knick-knacks and items, and history is on full display. Loved their fun theme. Our meal was very good, and our server Tyler did a good job on an extremely busy night. My Meat Loaf meal was delicious, and the baked potato plus carrots were yummy. My dining partner loved her Stuffed Shrimp, potato salad, and beets.

Tik Tok made me do it and I'm glad I did it!…read more My co-worker recently had been seeing some videos about the food at Newberry Cafe so of course we had to make a lunch time stop to see what everyone was talking about. Newberry reminds me of your hometown bakery where everyone gathers in the morning for their donuts and coffee before heading off to work. Very much like many of the shops in the Bel Air area. The employees are super nice at Newberry. Really taking their time to provide great customer service to each patron that strolls through the doors. Although it was lunch time we settled on breakfast sandwiches with homefries. And I of course had to grab a donut because it's a must, and a latte. The breakfast sandwich was just what you would want to start your day, a savory piece of meat and cheese on a soft bagel. But the star of the show was the homefries. Cooked and seasoned perfectly, crispy on the outside and a soft texture on the inside. We both loved the potatoes. My glazed donut was divine, pillowy with just the right amount of glaze to not make the donut too sweet. The latte was a little to sweet for me, but I'm a little finicky with the sugar level in many caffeinated drinks. All the times I've ventured into Bel Air I never thought to stop at Newberry and I'm glad I finally did. I'll definitely be back to try more of their yummy donuts and breakfast sandwiches in the future.
