Made my mind up to finally try it out this morning on my way to D.C during Halloween, the food was good I liked it better than I would have thought and really enjoyed the theme of a classic diner reminded me of a old fashion 90s diner, there were two siblings working, they were wonderful Haley and I forgot her brothers name but they took my order right away and prepared it just as I like it, I will be stopping by again on my next trip down to D.C.! read more

2 of us went in and were told to sit anywhere by the girl behind the counter. There was 3 other couples already there and 3 workers behind the counter. The place was disgusting. The table had crumbs we had to re-wipe it ourselves, the walls were filthy, the floors covered in food and dirt. I've actually never seen anything like it. The final straw was 10 minutes of sitting and we never got menus, but a family walked in after us and were immediately given menus by the same girl who told us to sit anywhere. We got up and left. A bad first impression of Waffle House and probably won't ever go out of my way to go to one again. read more

7/15/18- Horrible! Sat down at an open table that was sticky and grimy. The menu's were sticking together. Waited 15 minutes before one server came over and gave us utensils only to tell us another server would be right with us. Waited for that server another 5 mins. Ordered the "ALL STAR" scrambled eggs, grits , biscuit , waffle and sausage. The eggs were a fried egg chopped up and dry, the grits were dry, lumpy and tasted like onions, the biscuit tasted like grill grease, the waffle was soggy in the middle. The place needed a good basic cleaning as well. I'm well aware Waffle House is a diner and being from the south have eaten at many, but this place was a disgrace to their name. read more

I have been to waffle house in ATL , North Carolina, VA and even fredrick Maryland. All great and always got the same quality as it should be. This one... the kitchen was a mess, the food was not good- period. Do not waste your time going in the evening. I went at 8pm which might be the reason but still not an excuse. We got plastic utensils and to-go trays for a dine-in and a part of my order was forgotten. Although it was said to be burnt they still offered me to take it to-go... Why would I want burnt food. maybe during the day is better but just drive past this one please. read more

I came here after a PT test with a couple of fellow officers to grub down on some hash browns topped, chunked, diced, sliced, and whatever else goes on there to make the seven toppings. The waitress wasn't that bad - she actually seemed to want to serve people which is a rarity at this place. I guess it makes a difference if you go in the morning as opposed to 1am. We were fortunate enough to have someone pay for us - although not requested, it's always appreciated. I just wished we were able to shake the individual's hand - they paid and left and we only found out when we went to get our checks. Gracias. read more

I gave this location 1 STAR b/c the waitress put a syrup dispenser on my table with syrup oozing down the side, up the lid and all over the handle. That's not nice. Just wipe it down. I had not gone in years so it slipped my mind that the Walffles at the waffles house are the thinnest waffles I've ever seen, everything is al la carte, unless you get an unnecessary combo.. Interestingly enough it is located right across from McDonalds, so if you're flipping the coin, stick with the golden arches... and miss the goo and attitude... the worst! My significant other is kind of obsessed with this place, although we rarely come here. I think it's the remembrance of days gone by, back when he was young and had a stomach that could withstand the dietary torture of the cheesy hash browns and bad coffee. Mollie was a doll. She immediately greeted us and gave us an update on the wait and got us seated right away. They team was short staffed so you could tell that everyone was stressed, but the food came out fast and was delicious! John seemed like he was having a hard time with the waffle maker because things were sticking- he seemed like he was just having a bad day. He seemed to have some personal beef with some team members and appeared to be cranky on the grill. He may have some anger issues as well. Antonio seemed like such a team player and helped out where they needed him, but he seemed sad. I wish I could have given him a hug to make him feel better, but COVID. Antonio also seemed to be unamused by John's nonsense. Laura and Lexy seemed to be focused on their tables but still kept a smile on their face even when it was busy! Morgan seemed to do well under pressure keeping the grill organized. There was another young man on the grill with no name tag, but he also seemed to be doing well under the pressure as well. Bottom line, food was GREAT, service was GREAT, and the show was GREAT. 10/10. read more

Whatever you do, do NOT order the waffles!!! They are THE WORST on the planet and I'm not exaggerating!!! The "fruit" topping is some kinda of chemically created concoction... at .50¢ PER waffle! The bright spot was the perfectly cooked bacon, nice crispiness. If you do stop by, make sure BRIAN is your server. He is super sweet and dedicated to providing delightful service and ensure a good experience (it's not his fault the waffles are HORRID!) It was our first-ever visit to a Waffle House and Brian made sure we had a momento... our own paper Waffle House caps, which we of course sported as we got back onto the road. Final thoughts? Well HELLLLLLLLO Waffle House, i have not seen you in forever....so me and the wife are driving to Baltimore to catch a flight and see that womp spirit air lines is on there bs again, I see the almighty yellow goodness of love sign that said Waffle House...and you know how many fatso radar goes if I enjoyed it before and see the signs lol...we decided since we had time to kill to go to the Waffle House to eat brunch...we decided on the front booth as soon as we walked in...greeted, we sat, we were seen for our orders, and boom bam bing...everything out in a great time matter, they made our breakfast all the way how we wanted..my girl is very picky on her food and they pleased her with how they made the bacon, grits, waffles so you know you guys get a A++++ on service and meal cooked from fat boy me lol...anywho I had the steak, two sunny side eggs, cheese mushroom hash , and biscuit ..mmmmmm, reminiscing about the meal now typing this...everything was cleaned and freshly made...I can't complain ...a must go if near the rest area read more

I love this place. All the cooks/staff greet you when you walk in the door. The server was friendly, prompt and refilled our drinks multiple times. The waffles are pretty good, basic waffles, thin like eggos, not thick like a belgian waffle. The grits are fantastic and the bacon was crisp just the way I like it! Having never eaten at this chain before, I was pleasantly surprised by both the food and the service. My eggs were cooked properly, my toast was good. The waitress even checked to make sure the bacon wasn't too undercooked for us! And I definitely recommend the home-fries scattered, smothered, and covered. read more

This is a Waffle House. This isn't a five star place. It's got delicious hash browns, however you want them. The grits aren't my favorite. They taste like the outside of a tamale. I've been to waffle houses all over, so I expect a certain standard amongst all locations. This location falls below that threshold. The food was on par, but the store was very dirty. I walked into the bathroom and it was dirtier than one could imagine. I didn't even want to use it. All the tables were dirty when we arrived and once we picked a "clean" table I quickly realized it needed to be wiped down. Long wait for food when there were more servers behind the counter than patrons in the restaurant. I think it was our servers first day, as I told him what I wanted, he looked at me like I had ordered in French, so I pointed to the item on the menu. It came out wrong. I explained that I would be ok with what he brought me if I could please have the hash browns that were supposed to come with my meal. In the hospitality business, that means the unhappy customers request goes to the front of the line. But no. Another 15 minutes before my hash browns were delivered. With the other hand the server took my plate that had my fork so I had no utensil to eat my hash browns with. Sorry Waffle House. You need to get it together. read more

Alright, I don't know exactly what expectations people are walking into a Waffle House with but they need to seriously consider this is a chain restaurant ...not a corner bistro . So that said, the waffles are good. They are not and are not meant to be American Belgian waffles. Although in saying that I can attest they are not unlike the thinner lace like waffles you can get in Liege, Belgium (so take that, waffle critics). The rest of the food I tried -eggs, hash browns, biscuits , sausage -all were tasty and fine. The biscuit was a little dense for my liking, but again -a chain restaurant. I was just happy that it seemed made in house. The list of toppings for the hash browns was tasty, we opted for tomato and cheese...although you could create a more interesting combo if you wanted. Overall a clean restaurant with a nice staff. For two of us the bill was around $20 which seemed reasonable for what we had to eat. So if you are looking for some breakfast food, I say this Waffle House is worth the stop. read more
