First of all, I travel across states for my work and most of the time I have to dime in restaurants like waffle House, and it's always a pleasure going in, but this place had one employee with a pink hat her name was Kodi and was extremely rude from the moment I walked into the restaurant, went to place an order on the counter and she told me rudely not to sit there, and then she rudely asked me. What did I want if I was eating inside or taking out? After that interaction I did not bother dining in put the girl Madison, who took my order was extremely polite and apologize for her behavior., I also took note of another woman that was serving and cleaning the tables. Her name was Bridget, and she was an absolute, beautiful soul and extremely greeting and polite to every single one of the customers that walk in or out of the restaurant! Those are the kind of people we need working in places like this.. Food 5/5 I always love eating at waffle House. They always make it extremely delicious. The bacon is never overcooked. The waffles are perfect buttery and delicious. I had Sunnyside eggs, which was super bangin, and the hashbrowns with the toast was perfection Service I won't give it any rating. I already voiced my interaction with the pink cat lady. Kodi, but then Madison and Bridget made the rest of the experience so much better and beautiful so I will give them 5/5 and Kodi 0/5 because she sucked as a human being Ambience 5/5 there was so many families in there smiling and having a good time. Stopped in at 7 this morning for breakfast with my kids. We were served by Heather, and she was so cheerful and polite! Everything we needed was handled quickly and efficiently, and we had a great experience. The food was fresh and wonderful! The kids had never been before, and really liked the waffles. I'd definitely recommend a quick stop there. In particular Heather was wonderful. I'm in service myself, and they're lucky to have her! She could be serving in a fine dining establishment easily if she wanted. read more

I live on the Left coast so Waffle House is not a thing here... when I travel back East for business it's nice to have an extra day to explore. This extra day started in KC for a trip to WH off the I-70 corridor. I have never seen so many 18-wheelers in my life. (truck stop across the street) The food is always consistent and good... and it's great to get a little sense of the local culture. Did not disappoint. Tried something new with covered hash browns; there's a reason they have these options - it's good. I accidentally interrupted my server taking a break out back for a smoke while waiting for my Uber but she was very nice and thanked me for coming. (I left her a really good tip but I don't think she knew at that point :) $45 in Uber's for a $13 meal? No big deal - I enjoyed the experience. read more

I'm giving this 3 stars for the cook because he could follow instructions and cooked my eggs perfectly. The waitress, Mandy....she was awful. Argued with me about how I wanted my eggs, didn't bring my waffle until I asked her, did not refill my coffee, had another waitress yell and ask me if I was OK and she was standing closer to me...I could go on and on about her. Like I said, the cook made my food perfect and Mandy made my experience terrible. Remember what I said, Mandy...don't argue with the customer about how they want their food. We always come here after our baby appointments. The service is ALWAYS, 10/10. Today we decided to try a different place, ended up not liking it and came straight here. Everyone is so positive, if there is a mistake they fix it without a problem. We have never had a bad experience and left happy! Attitudes are great. My girlfriend and I come to this location regularly and usually enjoy ourselves. However this time coming in the waitress didn't come and give us a menu or anything for around 5 minutes and only acknowledging us once we started to look around. Mind you there is only one other table seated at the time and they have already eaten. We finally get our order in and the best thing we've seen at this location tonight was how fast the food came to us. As soon as our food was sat on our table we immediately started hearing gagging and someone throwing up in the bathroom, which I guess happens sometimes. But the kicker was when we seen an employee walk out immediately after flushing the toilet knowing 1000% that they didn't wash their hands. Concerned about the food safety in the building we told the waitress where she replied "oh don't worry she isn't on shift so it doesn't matter" we brushed it off and kinda kept going upon our dinner. A few minutes later I overheard the waitress talking to the cook about what we told her and laughing. Never have I ever seen someone be so unconcerned with food safety and then laugh and joke about it whenever you think we aren't looking. Definitely not impressed. read more

I took my kids here to eat on a Friday night at around 6pm. There were only 2 employees working, a cook and a waitress. I am not exaggerating when I say every single table/booth was dirty, most still with the dishes from the previous customer. I overheard the waitress tell another customer that someone had called in and that the manager chose to not call someone in to cover the shift. Seems like a lot of stress to put on two people. The food was typical Waffle House, no complaints there, hopefully the manager makes better decisions in the future before he/she runs off the staff and the customers who expect to eat in a clean environment. read more

I'll start by saying that I love Waffle House but don't go very often. This was my first visit since they rebuilt and reopened. Restaurant looks great, fresh and new. Service was fast if not friendly. I ordered a pecan waffle, country ham and split an order of hashbrowns (scattered, smothered and covered) and hubby got a chocolate chip waffle. My waffle was amazing, not sure why I never ordered one with pecans before, only issue was most of the pecans were clumped in the center of my waffle and I had to scatter them around. Being from Wichita and only eating Waffle House when I came to Kansas City to visit my dad, Waffle House has always been a nostalgic favorite of mine. Recently moving to Blue Springs My husband and I were excited to FINALLY have a Waffle House close by. We have been in once a week so far for the past few weeks and everyone has been so friendly and awesome! The diner is very clean and the food is always delicious (the fulfillment of a home cooked breakfast without the mess!)I think the real MVP's are the waiters and waitresses that work there. I've noticed that most places you are just a paycheck but I don't feel that way when we walk into the doors. It's the little things to me like getting a to go cup ready while I'm trying to get my kids out of the boosters or picking up a fallen sippy cup and washing it off without me even realizing it. Disrespectful staff!!!! This waffle house branch is serving bread with mold. I dined in with my son and huaband today expecting good quality food but I was wrong,,they served us a disgusting food. I almost ate the whole bread. Good thing my husband stopped me and I didn't feed this to my son. The staff didn't even apologize to us for what they served us and was being rude and disrespectful. Two friends and I went to this diner for breakfast this morning and I was so excited to leave because of how awful and terrible my experience was. Two of my friends ordered the two egg breakfast and I ordered the American breakfast. I ordered white toast and my two friends ordered wheat. When our food came I pointed that out and she just switched our toast at the table. I ordered my bacon not crispy because I don't like eating bacon bits and my bacon was crispy (my friends had their bacon crispy but that is how they ordered it), the waitress said "well that's just how it is cooked." I ordered my hash browns country style and never received my gravy. I asked for syrup for my waffle and as the waitress walked away she pointed to where the syrup was and I had to go get it. My friend had black specs in his sprite and asked for another and the waitress had an attitude and the attitude continued throughout our visit. Towards the end, she apologized as she was giving us our tickets, in hopes she would receive a tip. The cooks gave us dirty looks as if we were being rude and picky but in reality we all ordered a simple breakfast and it turned into a complicated experience. Will never attend this waffle house ever again. Ashleigh ruined, what could have been a easy, in and out diner experience.
