They cook perfect eggs which will suit anyones preferences, from omelettes, to a perfect sunny side up egg. I'd say they're wonderful! As long as I've been coming here, I've never been served anything but the best dishes from the kitchen. The servers have always been pleasant and professional... most eager to serve you, the customer. It's a kitchy environment, full of autographed star photos, and old style kitchen and restaurant items and advertising signs. Cozy and Homey. I came in with a group of 10 at 10am on a Saturday. I called ahead of time and was instructed to join the wait list on Yelp and note that the party was larger than the 6 the app allows for. The host, and the Yelp app quoted us 10-20 minutes, but we got there after 20 and ended up waiting about 15 more. This was unfortunate since there isn't a big waiting area and we were very much in the way, but the staff was nice and worked to get tables pushed together for us. After being sat it took about 10-15 minutes to get our order in, and about 15-20 for the food to come. Not bad at all with how busy this place is! All of our food came out hot and delicious at the same time! I had the cowboy Benedict with chicken fried steak, and gravy on the side. The steak was alright, pretty thin, and nothing surprisingly tasty about it. The eggs were delicious and my favorite part! The hashbrowns were fine, and the biscuit was also great--crispy edges which were perfect! I got a sticky biscuit with extra icing and really appreciated the amount of icing I got!! This was my favorite part of the meal, again the crispy edges made this such a great texture as well as the taste. Our server Amber did a great job taking care of our large party! She was nice, and checked on us several times. All the staff we came into contact with were very nice and friendly. The bathrooms were small and a little jenky, but otherwise the vibe of this spot was good. Nothing fancy at all, but what you'd expect for a quick turnaround family brunch spot. This would be my first choice for a boujee made-from-scratch meal, but for a large party this is relatively easy to get into--which has been my experience at 2 different locations near KC so far. One of our favorite spots for Breakfast. Great pancakes. Big biscuits. The home fries are great. Staff is always friendly and courteous.

I couldn't believe the prices and also the condensed menu. For two people we spent 52.00. All I wanted was a biscuit with gravy, 2 eggs, 2 bacon and a small pancake to share with my girl. What we got was two large under cooked pancakes, and stale biscuits with gravy that asked like water. I would've got a better breakfast at Denny's or IHOP. The BB in Lee's Summit is bad too. I went a few years ago and never went back. I wouldn't waste money on that crap. read more

Stopped by The Big Biscuit on a Thursday morning, and it did not disappoint. The menu was huge, but I had to go with corned beef hash and eggs because that's how I judge breakfast spots. It was crispy, flavorful, and perfect with scrambled eggs. I added gravy on my hashbrowns and a biscuit because when you're at The Big Biscuit, you get a biscuit...or so I was told. My husband had the country-fried steak and declared it one of the best he's ever had. The decor is kitschy and uniqu,e with so many fun things to look at while you eat. Our server was super friendly, kept our drinks full, and even gave us to-go cups so we could stay caffeinated for the rest of the morning. Definitely coming back next time we're in town. read more

OK on the pro side it was only about a 10 minute wait on a busy Sunday morning, service was quick and really good, and portions were big if that's your thing. On the con side whatever they put on the bread is so greasy it really did not agree with anyone in our party. Eggs were good. Grits were tasty. My granddaughter tried a chocolate chip pancake. I've been to The Big Biscuit in Blue Springs many times over the years and most of the time have had a pleasant experience. Today was a horrible experience. I walked in and it took forever for someone to seat me. I sat at the bar and ordered biscuits & gravy. They were Barely warm, so the manager brought me another order which was fine. He was the only person to be nice to me the entire time. Once I was finished, it took a very long time to get my check (the place wasn't very busy). My bill came to $9.77. I gave her a $20 dollar bill and she brought me back $10.00. I guess she needed my 23 cents more than I did. Very poor service & a bad experience. I will never go there again. I'm telling all of my friends, and they will also never go there again. read more

The food was excellent! Hanna was an EXCELLENT waitress! I never had to ask for anything... she was always there before I even knew I even knew I needed anything! We were met at the front door with a smile and an apology that it would be about a 5 minute wait. It was only less than two to three minutes and we were seated. We came here with a party of 13 on a weekend morning. They said it would be a 15 minute wait online but it was actually a 45 minute wait for our parties. Going back, I would probably split up big groups since it was so much extra time. The food itself was pretty great. They feature biscuits in many of their meals and I'm glad to say they live up to their name. We ordered a plate that had everything from biscuits to pancakes to meat to hash browns. It was delicious but probably 3 meals for 2 people. It is the go-to plate for my brother and his partner. Other delicious plates include the biscuits with strawberries and cream. And also the cinnamon roll biscuit, which was really rich and sweet but really good. Great food! However, some logistics can be worked on here. read more

We showed up about 11:30 ish on a Saturday morning. Our wait was estimated to be 5-10 minutes. We did not wait that long before we were seated. It's been a long time since we have been to the Big Biscuit and we usually go to the one on 40 Hwy. Our server was excellent, and the food was excellent. We both got the Better Big Breakfast. I had to wait on my grits, but they were fresh and piping hot. The reason you go to the Big Biscuit is for the Biscuit. Definitely not disappointed. And the Gravy was excellent too. I thought it had just enough heat with the pepper they used. And the Bacon was perfect, crispy. Coffee was good. Creamer on the table, but the coffee didn't need any doctoring. It was excellent black. Go for the food, the ambiance is a tad on the loud side because they were full. Hard to have a conversation. Oh, and I am a big lady and I was able to sit in the booth comfortably. I will be back. read more

The food and service is usually very good but today someone at my table let the server know that her breakfast didn't taste right. She thought it might be a bad egg. Instead of offering to make another breakfast or offer a refund (she only took 1 bite of her meal) he said, "that's weird", and walked away. She didn't want to complain, so she finished her coffee, paid for her meal and left without eating her breakfast. She won't be back, I'm sure. It'll be a long time before the rest of us return as well. A replacement or refund should have been offered. read more

I come here often and love the food. The wait list though is more of a suggestion than an actual hey you're in line and next. I have an elderly father and if I hadn't gone with the you're 3rd in line, I would have waited in the car with him. But I went with what it said and watched several people who weren't on the wait list seated before us. I will say I had a party of 6 but I DID get on the waitlist and followed the rules. They need to train their hosts better. In my opinion. They also seated a party of 5 that was on the list after me before they seated us. And we had to wait an inordinately long time for our food. I didn't feel like cooking breakfast so we headed to The BB. I ordered my usual - cinnamon roll pancakes. They were made differently this time. Instead of being topped with the icing after cooking, they had placed the icing on, then cooked the pancakes so it made it odd caramelized texture. The hubs opted for the country Benedict and love it. The middle of his hashbowns were undercooked, but he was so full he didn't eat them all anyway. Prices are through the roof! The new corporate Blue Springs Missouri Big Biscuit does not care about the food, very hard dark brown biscuits. The wait is over forty-five minutes. The staff are kind, but the restaurant is not clean, Managers stand around and talk way too much! All of the original staff are gone along with the kindness and great food. Chris the woman manager has a horrible temper and is not nice to guests or coworkers, The wait professionals will apologize for her lack of kindness and control. If zero stars could be left that would be advised. Attempted to contact the new corporate office regarding all of the above. Left phone and email, name etc. heard crickets. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! Sad loved it when it was hometown owned. Attended 30 plus years now this location is so sad and horrible. It is the talk of the town on how this has declined!! read more

We are here visiting family (my hometown) and we are staying close so we checked it out. We were seated fast after a 5 minute wait. Our wait staff was so nice. She was extra attentive. I had the French Yoast Platter and my son had the waffle Platter. Delicious! Everything was cooked great and our scambled eggs were actually cra ked eggs and not from a carton of already mixed eggs.
