It has been a long time sence I have been through bonner springs but when ever I do come in to town, this is my first stop no matter the hour I get a hot cup of coffie and my hash how I like it scattered, smotherd, coverd, and sothern! And after a 24 plus hour drive that's exactly what you wand no hassle no frills in out and gone! Use to come here once a year as a kid the last time was about ten years ago, don't know what made me think 9f this place but it brought back some great memories. Food was good but service was bad. I would say three stars on food and service was a one star. We seated ourselves and found our own menus. Food was brought out without silverware. We had to wait for our coffee until the food arrived. We were missing three waffles. We told a server but only 2 more were brought out and third never came. We weren't offered refills on coffee and were never offered water. It was busy but service was bad due to disorganization of waitress. She could of checked in with us during the time we were eating. She did apologize when she gave us our bill. read more

Had a late breakfast there this morning with my husband who has been talking about it for awhile. Its a small diner, not more than 10 tables with a counter top that wraps around the front. The servers were all very friendly. This is definitely diner food, in a good way. Eggs that were perfectly cooked, hash browns that were not as crispy as I would have liked, toast that was buttered well, bacon that was crispy and wonderful and a pecan waffle that was great. All this for about $6.50, .45 extra for pecans on the waffle. I ordered orange juice and am not sure if it was actual orange juice that was a cheap variety or if it was orange drink. Couldnt finish it, it was just not good. The bathroom left much to be desired. There were no seat covers and a very empty soap container. I love waffle house but not this one in Bonner Springs, Kansas. gave up a free breakfast at our hotel to eat here and we shouldn't have. our waiter was nice but everyone else acted like we were an inconvience to even be there in their facility. never eat at that place again!! read more

Have heard really bad things at the Waffle House. Decided to check it out. Friendly and nice. Didn't wait long. One exception. Found a PUBIC hair on my plate. As almost as if they wanted me to see it. Didn't want to see what the bathrooms looked like. Left. Desparate need of an inspection. This is the worst Waffle House I've ever been to. No waffles, no lemonade, no straws, no chocolate milk. Really then they all of a sudden had waffles for everyone else that came in after us. Are you kidding? And the staff had no explanation to give us. Ridiculous awful experience. Oh and they also took twenty minutes to separate out our bills. Ok. Don't get me wrong... LOVE WH- been to many all over the US and so excited to live by one. I remember family vacations and always getting a well done pecan waffle and cheesy grits...It's my go to at odd hrs. it's all food made on a flat top. Nothing fried-- which is nice. And they don't use a lot of oils in excess when cooking... So you don't get that nasty feeling after eating it... However---- ants in the east side of the building. We had to move seats... But. We really love coming to this particular location. It's really close to home && we have yet to have a bad experience. We dined in on multiple occasions, both early morning && late at night. I recommend the Sausage Egg && Cheese Texas Melt && ALWAYS order a waffle. read more

First of all this is a greasy spoon, don't expect the staff to fall head over heals to take care of you. Second, my coffee is always hot, food is always there fresh off the grill and hot. The staff is always friendly to my kids and I. Only better waffle is at Huddle House. If you want a high class breakfast experience, go to IHOP. Came in late on our way in (12/16/2015) driving from Denver to Kansas City. The night crew was fantastic. Excellent, friendly service. Most important, the food was grilled to perfection. I had the 2 eggs, 2 pancakes plate and also had some hash browns. All of them were delicious, and perfectly cooked. Sometimes you get runny eggs, or underdone hash browns, and you can tell the cook just doesn't care. In this case, everything was perfect. If we could have, we would have come back but we're on a tight travel schedule. Kudos to the night crew at this place! Great work guys! read more

This restaurant is extremely dirty. You can see the filth on the tables, chairs, countertop, stoles, and the floors. You can watch them as they cook your food and the preparation area is filthy. It can't be up to codes. The staff was unable to keep up with the orders, giving people the wrong orders, and forgetting to cook some of the food that was ordered. The owners and restaurant managers should close the restaurant down for about 3-4 days and just clean everything. Clean Everything. It's truly a mess. I'll never patronize this location again. read more

I am here now. It is ok. There was a nice lady greeting us as we (my mother and myself) made our way to the table. The service is decent. My only complaint is the I asked to substitute grits and tomato for my two sides as I have Celiacs and cannot eat the biscuits nor toast, the prices were not explained properly. My 4.10 meal turned into a 7.10 meal. I did not get 7.10 value in my tiny meal and would have ordered something else that maybe would total 7.10 if I had known the prices. read more

Updating my review after multiple visits. Still a family favorite because the food is yummy and filling, but we've learned to always take sweatshirts in because it's so cold in there. We've even taken blankets in with us to wrap up in. The food is served hot and timely, but it gets cold before you can finish it because the AC is blowing fill blast. read more

Came in on a weekend, we were the only people there and only one employee in sight.. it smelled so dirty and everything was sticky. There was a fly strip hanging near our table. We were talking about leaving but the lady came over and asked what our problem was. I felt bullied into staying because she was standing so close, had an attitude and took such an aggressive stance. We were on a trip and I was way too tired to deal with her so we ordered. We were forced to pay before she would make our food.. it was terrible. Even if you love Waffle House, do yourself a favor and completely skip THIS location. We came in and couldn't find a single seating area that didn't have food, salt or some sort of liquid on it. The floors were really gross too. I tried to chalk it up to them possibly just having a busy rush and not cleaning up yet. Since my little one was so hungry we went on in, found the only semi clean booth, wiped it with baby wipes and sat down to order. Normally, Waffle House is known for friendly, fast service with a smile...well NOT here! Our order was wrong, the waffles were crappy, thin, cold and literally squishy. The bacon was cold, greasy and gross too! I seriously could have made better at home with frozen Eggos. Though the manager remade our order, it still was not very good and my child didn't even eat a bite after the butter wouldn't even melt on it. Adding insult to injury, I was STILL given a bill for uneaten, bad quality food and terrible attitude from our waitress. I was actually very bummed out because being military, we usually LOVE Waffle House and have dined at them all over the country! Guess the days of Waffle House having thick, beautiful golden waffles and awesome service are over. We definitely won't be back and if you folks want a decent dining experience, you wouldn't come to this location either! read more
