8pm and it's been 260 miles since my Wendy's burgers. Time for dinner especially since I'm now past the worst of the I-40 mountain driving and ready for a break. I arrived here and as I took my seat at the counter, the waitress let me know that it would be a little while until she could start my order. I didn't know that "a little while" would involve a full cleanup of the grill that took nearly 20 minutes but whatever. I got to watch the cook do a heck of a lot of work, cleaning, scraping, draining and polishing before it was all set back to the Waffle House standard. Wow. My Fiesta Omelet and side of city ham was set down 23 minutes from when I walked in. A little long, but she did warn met and I did see what happened. The food was good, hot and fresh. we went to Waffle House for lunch and ordered meals for ourselves, the service was fine until the end. Aside from an employee not in uniform in the kitchen working with food. at the end of our meal the four of us paid together and one of us made a separate order and we tipped 10 dollars on the separate order. once we leave the employee runs out knowing we were all together and screams at us saying "if y'all cant f**king tip don't come out to eat" and I just thought that was incredibly rude considering we did tip, and also considering we also left a generous amount for the kind of money high schoolers have. read more

We go in and get a seat and wait 20 mins to be acknowledged never was so finally we up and asked one of the ones working if we could get drinks because they was flirting with 2 boys at the counter if we could get drinks and she hatefully said when I get time so I politely told her there were more customers and so the heavy one I'm thinking her name is Corey said she was refusing to serve us and we could leave or she would call the law for us cussing her. The men in the booth behind us said they never heard us be rude or say one cuss word. The only one cussing was the one we asked to serve us. Traveling back from close to the Tennessee line on I40 east and got stuck in a two hour parking lot due to a tractor trailer that jackknifed on the interstate. When the traffic cleared, it was late and most places to eat had already closed. Guess what? My old interstate friend, Waffle House, still had the lights on. 7x24, even during NC's COVID-19 phase 2. Service was very good. Food was spot on for Waffle House. I got the T-Bone with eggs over easy. The steak by itself was terrible but throw some A1 on it and you can make it work. It's midnight and I'm starving so what the hell. Dining room was clean. Men's restroom was clean (dump worthy). It's right off the interstate like lots of Waffle Houses. I would recommend. read more

Our waitress was Reba, and she was literally the sweetest woman on the planet. We (my three year old, 9 year old and I) went in for breakfast on a Thursday morning and I swear, all of the waitresses were super friendly and you could tell they were doing their absolute best. Their MANAGER on the other hand, was the biggest a$$ hole anyone would ever notice. The yelling, belittling of the servers, etc. was loud and obvious to not just me, but several other customers as well. I find it sad how seriously he takes his position at a Waffle House, and amusing that he thinks he's so important that he has the right to speak to employees that way. I tipped Reba super good and said my goodbyes, but I'm still thinking about how pathetic that manager was, even two days later. Worst Waffle House that I have ever been in is in Canton, NC. This meal was also the first time I have ever walked into an empty Waffle House, not a single customer around. I ordered breakfast, an egg over medium, their great hash browns, and bacon. The egg came cooked hard and was sent back. The hash browns were half of the size of a serving in other Waffle Houses with little evidence of what I ordered with them. The bacon came out first, well before the rest of the meal. And talk about greasy!! The amount of yellow stuff on the plate that came with the remade egg was concerning. I guess this food will be quickly passing through my body. read more

This is by far not our first visit but this is the worst experience we have had at this location it was busy cause of them bro g the only place open during the snow storm... so I have took that into thought of this review... 1. Sitting at a dirty table for 25 min before anyone even realized we existed.. 2. The lipstick on the coffee cup that we were served reminded me of home.... Lol no it didn't but I understand them being busy as crap but in a industry that reuses dishes like this dish washing is the only line of defense so should be taken seriously... 3. Holy cow, I just had the most entertaining breakfast of my life. Normally when I go to a Waffle House, it's at 3 o'clock in the morning and save a couple winos and curfew-breaking teenagers, I'm usually the only person in the restaurant. However, sit at the counter in the Canton, North Carolina Waffle House at 10 o'clock on a Sunday morning, and it's basically like watching a hibachi show without all the frills. I'm not sure of the cook's name, but that guy had bacon frying and egg scrambling down to an art. A very fast, efficient art that seemed to frighten most of his coworkers into staying completely out of his way. The whole restaurant was packed and he never broke his stride or said anything. Homeboy was flipping omelettes, breaking eggs, serving up hashbrowns, toasting bread, all across three grills and with zero sign of fatigue, confusion or incompetence. I'm not sure if he mainlines Red Bull before work or what, but this guy was owning his job. All he needed was "Flight of the Bumblebee" on loop to turn this into straight up performance art. Not a good experience at all. Have been to this location many times and was disappointed from the moment my family and I sat down. The only available/clean area was a booth (We were 1 of 5 groups in there) with 60° air conditioning blowing on us-we had to move. We clearly annoyed our server; and when our food started coming out 20 minutes after we ordered, waffles were burned (we were told we would receive fresh - we did not), we received an extra plate of food that was not ordered, eggs were underdone, and every "double" order of waffle was split up to be on its own plate (1 waffle per plate). Dietary restrictions were not taken as importantly as expected either. I believe our server was Nicole, our receipt had chicken scratch all over it so that is the name I believe was written down. I will not recommend or return to this Canton Waffle House location. Training, customer service, cleanliness, organization and productivity need to be a priority when it comes to training in this specific establishment. read more

Waited 15 minutes for the staff to never even take our drink orders while taking the orders of people that walked in after us no problem. I don't think any Waffle House will ever get higher than a three from me. Why? Because they never look really clean but the food is pretty good and very reasonable so it gets a three. I ordered a combo that included waffle, bacon, eggs, toast, and grits. Everything was great. My eggs came just the way I asked them to and everything was hot. We sat at the counter so I got a great view of the cooking. I liked that the cooks were wearing gloves but there were no hair nets. There was waffle left overs all over the irons and the flor was dirty but I guess you can't expect too much with them being so busy. The was sink was right under the counter so you got to see them washing your dishes. The wait staff was very friendly. Waitress was very rude slamming things because I ask for a few extra pickles. I ask her name after being smart with answer she said her name is Sara. I ask the cook and she had told me a fake name . Her name is Natasha. I have worked in food business for 25 years and have been a manager for 20 of it . If she had been busy I would not have ask but I was the only person there.
