We stopped by Texas Roadhouse in Asheville while on vacation because sometimes it's nice to go with a familiar, predictable option when you're out of town. My girlfriend ordered a steak medium well with a sweet potato, and I ordered a medium steak with two Caesar salads + extra dressing as my sides (because let's be honest... parmesan cheese and ceasar dressing is a perfect combo). My steak came out exactly right, but unfortunately hers arrived medium rare instead of medium well. We sent it back to the grill for a few more minutes, which meant sitting there for quite a while before either of us could really dig in. By the time everything was sorted out and her steak came back, it had been about 40 minutes since we were first seated. My steak was cold at that point, but at least hers was finally cooked the way she wanted it. One other thing we noticed was the noise level. This location felt significantly louder than other Texas Roadhouse spots we've visited... more like a sports bar during a game than the usual steakhouse vibe. Overall, the steak quality was still solid once everything was corrected, but the wait and the noise level made the experience a little less enjoyable than we're used to from Texas Roadhouse. read more

We showed up hoping to celebrate new Year's and our son's 16th birthday. Party of 5, nothing crazy. We ordered our food right away when our server took our drink order. As we waited for our food, other people arrived, were served their food, had time to completely finish their meal AND LEAVE and we still were not served. We notified wait staff, and were told it wouldn't be too much longer, by several different staff members. An hour and a half after ordering our food, we finally gave up waiting and left. We went back to get our envelopes opened 1 week apart from our first visit in a while. Was immediately seated this time! Nice surprise! But we waited for several minutes for our server, like to the point it was like uhhhh should we leave? Anyways it didn't get any better after that. We started with fried pickles and they were great! Nice and crispy and not floppy! I got my usual vegetable plate house salad, 2 cups of chili and green beans and my partner had Barbecue chicken loaded baked potato and house salad and broccoli! Food was good! Music is blaring loud or maybe it's just country music? It's like coyote ugly up in there. We did see some older ladies putting their hands over their ears. Haven't visited a Texas Roadhouse in years. This was the only restaurant open past 9pm but it ended up being a good choice. Our server, Nicole, was amazing and the food was just right. Always love the peanuts. read more

First, the parking ambience was super easy, which I always appreciate--plenty of spaces and no hassle. Once inside, the staff was warm and welcoming, and our server was genuinely kind and attentive throughout the meal. I really enjoyed the chili and the lemonade--both were delicious! The chili had great flavor, and the lemonade was refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. As for the main dishes, my steak was unfortunately overcooked, and the mac and cheese wasn't quite to my taste. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected from Texas Roadhouse, especially since they usually do a great job. Even with those issues, the service and some of the sides definitely made the visit worthwhile. Texas Roadhouse is a tried-and-true favorite for my family. My children are carnivores, my husband and mother-in-law have their steak favorites, and I enjoy all of the sides. The service is fast and friendly. The food is consistent...it's always good portions, good value, and good to eat! You can't go wrong with the class sirloin steak, baked potato and salad. My highest praise for Texas Roadhouse is working with them for special events. They do an amazing job catering. They can handle big orders and are easy to work with. They are also extremely civic-minded, which I really love! The only downside to this location is the parking lot...it s a mess! read more

Service and ambiance went well because they seated me at the bar, so I didn't have to wait for that. I got a Texas Size Combo consisting of a 6 oz sirloin, ribs, and steak fries covered in chili. The steak was cooked to a perfect mid-rare and that and the ribs were beautifully juicy. Putting the chili on the fries was the greatest move ever because it gave it a great warm flavor. Great food, great service, but about 20db too loud. My wife and I just got back from Texas Roadhouse. Our first time visiting this location, we had been to one in Virginia last year. Service was very quick and friendly. The place was quite busy, but no wait. I had the filet medallions, my wife had the sirloin and shrimp combo. Both steaks were cooked properly to our requested doneness, hers well, mine rare. I swiped a couple of her shrimp, they were really tasty and plump. Steak fries were very good, she finished off her baked potato. Only downsides were the noise, and the men's room REALLY needed cleaning. read more

Be cautious and keep your receipts! The day after we ate there, I got a notification for ANOTHER charge where Texas Roadhouse charged my card again. My waitress helped herself and added a 234% tip of $82 on my ticket after I left her a cash tip on the table ! I contacted them which was told the kitchen manager would call me back . I'm still waiting for that call back of course . I did contact my credit card company and reported the fraud with a picture proof of my ticket on the table with the cash . Where to start... Arrived at opening with a party of 5 and seated promptly (all down hill from here). First, the bread plates on the table were filthy with food visibly on them. Bear in mind they just opened so these were just placed or done so the night before. Next, waitress took our order. Then the food starts coming out. Salad was wrong on one order. Then the rest of the food comes out... well at least 4 of the 5 did. Flimsy excuse about how it "fell off the order". Finally it comes after everyone is done eating and the manager instead of just comping a $14 meal gives a "discount". Finally, no payment terminal at the table unlike basically every other table in the place. Oh, and the men's room smells like pure piss at opening. Can only imagine what it'll be like in a few hours. Worst Texas Roadhouse Experience Ever! As a big Texas Roadhouse fan it was beyond disappointing. We ordered at 16 oz steak and got a 6 oz steak, so they took it back and started making a new one, which would have been fine had it not taken so long that everyone had finished their whole meals. Plates stacked at the end of the table done. So by the time the steak came out everyone was pretty much ready to go, including myself. During our whole time there, no manger ever came to check on us like they usually do. It was also not a busy night, the 2 tables around us were empty, it wasn't late either. It was 7pm.... Not sure why no one came by. When we got the check there was no discount, no discount card or free app card. I was just disappointed that no one really said anything about the whole situation. Definitely won't be back and would not recommend this Texas Roadhouse to anyone. read more

Really nice Texas Roadhouse location. Really busy, about a 1/2 mile from Biltmore's entrance, so come early or be ready for a wait. Still one of our favorites! We come here at least monthly if bot more. They're ine of the few restaurants that hasn't raised prices a whole lot over the past few yrs. Delicious steaks, friendly staff and yelp waitlist makes it easy to check how busy they are. This place can be loud when really busy but they get you in and out with a smile. read more

By far the worst ribs I've ever had. They were gross, burnt, and took over an hour to receive. Ordinarily I would have complained at the time, it was close to closing at this point, and I had already been there for too long. The servers seemed nice, but I never received any rolls or updates on my food. Since this restaurant was very close to our hotel, we decided to try it out and it was a big mistake. We waited for about 20 minutes, while there're many empty tables, maybe they're understaff. The prime rib was tough and chewy (we ordered medium). The rib was burn (ordered whole slab), I don't know why they gave us this without checking, maybe it was covered with BBQ sauce, so we didn't see it; we end up throw most of them away. The fries were so soggy. We asked the waitress to replace the fries with corn; and she was very hesitated to do that. The only saving our dinner was the porter house steak, it was decent. They cleared the dishes but didn't wipe it until after they had seated us there and we had to ask. The rolls were tiny, and we had to ask for silverware to cut them. We ordered a large steak to share, with 2 salads, one with no tomato. Both came out without tomatoes and we couldn't get anyone's attention to get some. When they brought us out the steak, they didn't bring an extra plate and it took 5 minutes for the server to get us one. Both restrooms were very messy too. After our salads came waitress did not bring silverware, tried to get attention of 2 enployees who were chatting, no luck. First when we arrived, I went to the podium and told the host 2 people. He pointed to the side to wait. I moved to the designated area. Across from where he told me to stand was a line of people, and people came in after me and stood in that line. Well, that was the line that was seating people. So I moved over and after a time we were seated. Not a horrible experience, but I would say there needs to be a bit. Ore organization . Now... the BIG problem. I ordered a rare ribeye. I was served a ribeye, that was just down right raw, but eve worse, it was 70% grizzle. I know ribeyes have a higher fat content, but this was just inches and chunks of grizzle and fat, additionally it was gently seared and down right raw. Not even seared as a Chicago rare... just gray and red. The waitress was amazing, thoroughly understood and took the "steak" back. I sat there for over 15 minutes while my husband ate his entire steak. I saw several trays of steaks walk by. When the waitress came and asked if I needed anything, I told her to just cancel it, my husband was done and I really didn't want to sit there and wait anymore. While she was getting the check a server came out with the steak and just said, "ribeye?". I told her I canceled it just took too long. Apparently, this was the GM, she didn't apologize just said, can I get you anything else. I told her to take it off the bill. When the bill arrived I was dumbfounded that she took $18.00 off the bill for a $24.00 meal. So apparently the GM thinks it is appropriate to ruin a customers evening and still charge for salad and potato. At that point I wasn't going to even argue. The GM should have made sure the kitchen sent out my replacement meal immediately and the they could have recovered from the poor steak. I do want to reiterate, our server was wonderful. That's the only reason I give it 1 star and not zero! read more

I've eaten here many times before. But tonight's experience was miserable. The music was blaring at 85 decibels and peaks as high as 92 decibels. That's equivalent to power tools. It was so loud the 5 of us at our table had to shout to be heard. We asked 3 times could they please turn it down, the last time asking to speak to the manager. Her attitude was "I couldn't care less what you think.". At this noise level, OSHSA requires hearing protection for the employees! I know they have the discretion to turn it down, because I've been there before and it was at a tolerable level. We were not the only ones that felt this way either. The tables beside and behind us echoed their concerns about the noise level too. We all said we would never be back, not just because of the noise level, but because of the manager's arrogant and condescending attitude. If you're looking for a relaxing place to eat, look elsewhere. read more
