My mother-in-law, sister-in-law & niece were in a car accident that could have been much worse than it was thank God and my other two nieces and I were in the ER with them for close to 7 hrs, they had not eaten all day and they were needing something to eat before the hour ride home. We stopped there and they had 3 full booths and the other half of the restaurant closed off at 11pm. The lady behind the counter stated me straight in the eyes twice and turned her back, never saying a word. I finally took my 82 yr old mother-in-law and walked her back out the door and got everyone back in the car. Rudeness loses my business faster than bad food. read more

Very rude personnel. Spent 45 minutes waiting on a seat most of them dirty. I was gonna wait a little longer but after work all night I just couldn't wait any longer. Hey! We love this Waffle House. My wife and I stop there on occasion and eat breakfast (any time of the day). The staff is always friendly and eager to take your order. Also, I like that you can watch them cook your food, especially now a days. One of the cooks has been there a while. She does a really good job. read more

Waffle House - Diners Near Me - Catlettsburg, Kentucky

So it turns out that the idea I had in my head of what a Waffle House was, was actually an IHOP. Waffle House is not exactly what I was expecting. That being said, it reminds me of a Denny's. I guess their big thing is hashbrowns, which was the confusing thing to me (how is their thing not waffles?). But the hashbrowns were standard diner hash browns. The cool thing I guess, is that you are able to top your hash browns with a majority of what's on their menu. I opted for the Hash browns LARGE, SMOTHERED (sauteed onions), COVERED (melted cheese), CHUNKED (diced ham), and PEPPERED (jalapenos). It kind of reminded me of the same breakfast I get from my local diner every saturday (if I took the plate and just mixed it all together). If you're looking for standard diner breakfasts, then this here is your place. Other than that, I just don't get the appeal. read more

Its about 10 PM on a weekday - 10 people in the place, 3 servers. Our 6 show up. It's pretty evident, that no one working is the slightest bit interested in the un-wiped counters, un-bused tables, or the new arrivals. The young woman who eventually 'waited' on seemed to be concentrating more on the voices in her head than her customers. Simple diner fare (C'mon, it's Waffle House) seemed to baffle her. Thankfully, though exhausted we were in good enough spirits to laugh off the experience. read more

A server named Beth said out loud while playing music on the juke box that she listens to a certain song to get drunk to.. A family with children were present at the time. Asked my server how much 2 extra pieces of bacon. were. She said 3.39 a piece. She didnt know what i was talking about when it came to simple questions. The place was nasty and mud was dried on the floor. Napkins were under our table. Just sit down with no menu,had to get it myself. Kept asking if I was ready to order. If I was I'd let you know,give me enough time to look at the sticky menu. No heat,air conditioner was running and it was to cold in inside. I used to like eating here, but I'll not be going back if they can't keep it clean,and so on. Stay off the cellphones when you have paying customers that are waiting to pay for there food. read more

Okay, so on a road trip myself and my best friend had to go to a Waffle House on the way from Charleston WV to Lexington KY. I have to admit I have never been to one, and while I would not recommend the omelets (they use fake American Cheese) but the hash browns, biscuits, and bacon (really crispy) were really good! Also, this location had an awesome music selection playing and the staff was awesome! We were there at around 0930 on a Sunday morning. Really great time! The waffles are what my friends goes for but I don't have a comment on them since I did not have them. Recommend- attitude of the employees there really cheerful and positive! read more

My favorite Waffle House love the waitresses they are personable they also remember you when you have come in before which is great the food is good. My mother and I argued about going here cause her past experiences with other waffle houses weren't great but she loves this one to after I made her go one day I have to say if your looking for the value for your dollar this place definitely fits the description and you can't go wrong everything is great. read more

It's my favorite place to eat late at night. Food and service is always good! Couldn't be happier

The people there go to the bathroom and don't wash their hands. People are smoking all over the restaurant. The cook smoked when making food. They were playing music back in the cooking area using profanity and vile language. The people there a rude and talk like sailors. Me and my wife used to eat there all the time twice a week we don't go there anymore this is not just over one visit it's over many visits. I don't know what is happened to the place but obviously something has changed. In addition the food is not good either and the food used to be good. The people there that work are so unprofessional I can't imagine who is hiring these people. Both me and my wife used to like to go there twice a week to sit back and relax the last two or three times we went there we were severely stressed out because of the environment and because of the aggressive atmosphere and because of all the foul language being played on the boom box back in the cooking area and because of the language being used by the employees. It's really unbelievable. read more
