Racist staff ignores people that are not the same color and stops cooking their food midway to stare at them and make someone of the customers race cook the rest of the meal while all staff that is not of the same color of the customer stare gossip and laugh at the customer. This was probably my single best meal at a Waffle House. The service was great. Everyone was cleaning if they weren't helping a customer or coworker, which is ALWAYS a good thing. My food was right, it was hot, it was DELICIOUS!!! And my grits were done PERFECTLY! Holy moly. I'm somewhat ashamed of my local WH right now. This was my first time ever eating in a waffle house. It's a very American diner specializing in greasy breakfast food. We sat at the bar and watched the assembly line of eggs, bacon, city ham, grits, and hashbrowns sizzling. It's definitely not a place for vegetarians or vegans. Everything is mixed on their flat top skillet grill. So all your juices from pork and beef blend. I have to say the ladies cooking on the assembly line have it down pat. Fast and efficient! The staff were all friendly, greeting everyone walking through the door. Our waitress was very accommodating with a smile while I ordered my weird not on the menu open faced grilled cheese on wheat with lettuce & tomato with sunny side up eggs and city ham. I tried my husband's hash browns and bacon. It was all good. Even the coffee was no-nonsense good. If you want an American heart attack breakfast that's quick, inexpensive, and delivered with a smile, this is your place! read more

BOW YOUR HEADS, for I am the DUKE of this Waffle House. Apparently checking in twice at the same Waffle House in the same day earns one such a distinction. Don't act like you're not impressed. I'm in Tulsa for a wedding, and staying at the Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa. After the casino picked us up from the airport we were headed down the highway to see the Hard Rock tower over the heartland and that's when we saw it. In golden rays the black letters stood out like angels of late night healing... ladies and gentlemen.. there's a Waffle House in the parking lot of the casino. It was like all my drunken gambler dreams have come true and in one parking lot I could have all my heart's desires. You can stagger to this Waffle House. I'm not making that up. Since I'm such a nice guy I made sure to test that out just because I wouldn't want to lie to any of you. We'll get to that later though. We arrived on a Friday evening and as soon as we realize how the breakfast gods have smiled upon us with this glorious bounty of scattered, smothered, and covered breakfast goodness we make plans. Saturday morning first thing we would enter the sacred halls of the Waffle and dine like gods. Sure enough, after winning at poker we follow through with this promise. Our server was extremely nice and friendly. She put up with our silliness including the fact that not only did I not need a menu, but that I could order my meal in the same lingo that all Waffle House staff knew. (Triple scramble w/ cheese, w/ chunked hashbrowns, hold the grits). Now, if you've read my older Waffle House review of the one in Fredericksburg VA, then you know that I metamorphosize into a Carolina country boy when I get into a Waffle House and I start playing rockin' tunes. God Bless the USA, She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy, Carry On My Wayward Son.. whatever.. if it's red blooded American kick a$$ music I'm going to play it. I'm not lying when I tell you this part but a good portion of the wait staff sang along with me. One server even sang Sheryl Crow's parts of Picture while I sang the Kid Rock portions. After paying for my friend and I, $17, a ridiculously low price for a meal that would start off another winning day, we left. This was at 9am. Fast forward through more winning at poker, a wedding, heavy drinking, shots, and slots, it was 3am. I was tuned up and I had a shuttle to the airport to catch at 11am for a mid noon flight. So I staggered the half block back to Waffle House and again chowed down. Of course I DJed the establishment again and this time, not only did the wait staff sing along (more than half belted out God Bless the USA with me) but some of the locals as well. I was making friends left and right and nothing could stop me. Eventually, I had to leave, to go to bed, to get ready to get back to DC, but I left a piece of my heart of in that Waffle House. If you're ever near it, go in with a smile and play some tunes for me. I'm sure the fine people of Oklahoma will sing along with you too. read more

We have eaten at many Waffle Houses across the USA and know it's pretty reliable for good comfort food when it comes to breakfast! We normally don't eat this type of food but, hey, we are on vacation! We are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel and the Waffle House is in the same parking lot! Yay! You could literally walk if you had to, but it's 30 degrees so we drove! :-) Our waitress, Reva, was so sweet! She asked us what we would like to drink and we said waters all the way around. She then asked us if we were ready to order or if we needed some time?! Loved it. We went ahead and ordered because we were hungry. 2 Scramble Eggs, with Raisin Toast and Grits (the best grits around, I would say), my boys wanted the same with double waffles. Our total for all this food was $20.85! A bargain for all the food we had. We gave her a generous tip, the food and the service were both great! I told her we would be back. Awful!! The waitress "Haley" was sweet and new so very nervous. The cook, Bryce, on the other hand was rude, abusive and condescending. Instead of belittling the waitress he should've been listening to her and maybe he would not have added jalapenos to my hash browns...I'm allergic. He trashed talked us and told her to pick them out. Unacceptable! After hearing this I spoke up and told him I was allergic and he continued to trash talk. I got up, told him to stop cooking because we were leaving. We weren't going to leave without paying for our drinks and Bryce just kept running his mouth. I asked the manager Louis for the cooks name. I couldn't believe the manager let him continue to speak. He wrote off the drinks and that's about the only good thing he did. I've traveled throughout the United States and always visit Waffle Houses. This is the first time I have ever been treated so poorly at a Waffle House location. Shame on you! read more
