Biscuit trio is a must try!!

Super quick service, friendly staff (especially Crissy), delectable sweets, and savoury scrumptiousness. High ceilings and comfortable seating offer a pleasant ambiance. Bacon was fantastic and the loaded sticky bun with cranberries was the best!! Will definitely return for other yummies.

We were greeted quickly. Seated pretty much immediately. There's really high ceilings in here and a lot of kids so it was incredibly loud. You could hear every time somebody set their fork down across the room. Our server was nice but ordering was torture. I told her what I wanted and all of the choices that were available to me with that thing. She picked up her handheld device and asked a question that made no sense to me so I told her one more time exactly what I wanted. Then when she started putting it in her device I had to answer, no kidding, at least 10 more questions most of them things I had already said except for all of the questions she asked trying to upsell every step of the order. Literally, do I want anything extra on top of my over medium eggs. I know it's prompting her to ask me and so it's a corporate Big Biscuit thing that was absolutely not enjoyable in any way. Also, we told her we were sharing it and she had to ask if we wanted an extra plate. Seems self evident... Hopefully this food we're waiting on right now is awesome. Because so far, it has not been a lot of fun. The food took a minute but it is Sunday morning. We ordered the big breakfast and it comes out on two plates anyway. They did bring the extra plate though. Over medium eggs were perfectly cooked. Sausage patty was a little spicy and delicious. Bacon was perfectly cooked to my liking. Nice and crispy Glad as a pancake so most likely baked. Then piece of ham fried but not too hard which is not easy to do and it was very good. Grits have no flavor definitely add some cheese to them but they have a good consistency. Gravy is okay. Could use a little more sausage but isn't completely bland. When they say big biscuit they mean it. Hubby says it's good. Buttermilk is not my thing. I got a pancake for dessert. Absolutely amazing. So good when they say big dinner plate size they mean it. I did have to get my own syrup from the table next to me. Our server was not good about checking on us since we got our food. I was pretty much done before she asked how breakfast was. Also, due to how long it took her to take the pimples next to us order We waited a good 10 minutes to pay for our bill. Really really slow

Came to the mall for Black Friday shopping and came across this really cute breakfast spot! We were immediately greeted and sat in the main dining area. We all really liked our food! Here are some things to know: - Biscuits are served with most meal options and the biscuit is BIG (size of a small bowl) - Portion sizes are pretty big so can definitely order a few platters and share - Fried chicken was the highlighted food by our waitress - If you order the fried chicken (side dish) it is flattened, fried, no bone ($4.99); it is very well seasoned and fried lightly - I'm very particular about sweet tea and lemonade so I was weary to order the Arnold Palmer but to my surprise it was very well balanced w/ sweet and sour -I can see this place getting crowded so definitely add your name to the online waitlist Lastly, our waitress Kristy was super sweet and suggested great items from the menu...make sure to ask to be seated in her area!

Had breakfast there for the first time. Cute place! Our waitress was great, the manager stopped by, and service was very fast. I enjoyed my Holly bowl, the scrambled eggs were delicious and it almost didn't need the potatoes! My husband's CFC was great!! The biscuits were big and fluffy. My iced Mocha was very mocha~y. The strawberry sunrise drink was amazing!! It was a bit pricy at $51 for two people, but that's life! We'll definitely be back.

I believe it's the Yard bird bowl.

I would have posted this a while back but my Yelp was acting funny. This place is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious. Definitely need to bring an appetite when coming here. If you have not had a bonut, you haven't truly lived. They took a biscuit, rolled it in French toast batter, and after cooking it, sprinkled powder sugar on it. One of the greatest creations, which should be sponsored in the local fair as well. My waitress was also very friendly. I believe her name was Christi. She set the tone from the start. Had a warm smile coupled with good hospitality. Place is very clean and very spacious as well. You won't be disappointed no matter what you eat.

After reading the reviews we decided to give this place a try. It is very big with plenty of seating, lots of windows to let in natural light. I really liked the feel of the place. It was very clean and there were several people maintaining the tables and floor while we were there- that made me feel they care about their restaurant and hygiene. We all enjoyed our food, it took a minute to get it but I think it wasn't too long. The portion sizes are fairly big, I was not able to finish mine. The wait staff were very friendly and seemed happy to be there. I like seeing happy workers, you know you'll get good service. They do have outdoor seating if the weather suits you. Definitely a great breakfast/brunch place. They do have lunch items too.

Not my first visit to The Big Biscuit but not a frequent choice for me. On this trip I found the biscuit a very good example of the uniquely American food that is called a biscuit.it was fluffy and tender. The bacon was perfectly cooked for my liking (O did ask for crispy bacon) The gravy however was a little disappointing with its creaminess ruined by a bitter burning aftertaste that reminded me of old ground pepper. It dampened an otherwise perfect if basic breakfast. It didn't ruin the meal just made it a less enjoyable experience. I do recommend The Big Biscuit just maybe avoid the gravy. A second visit confirms that the gravy is not enjoyable as it is far too peppery and sports a bitter aftertaste. I also tried omelettes (as did my wife) it is clear that they prefer to overcook the omelettes making them disappointing and dry. This restaurant has a lot going for it but unfortunately a complete knowledge of how to make the best versions of some pretty basic breakfast elements elude them.

Dang, these are the best biscuits I've ever had. We had a loaded cinnamon biscuit, a Yard Bird, and maple bacon chicken and waffles. The portions are big, you won't leave hungry. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. I definitely recommend this place!

Server She did not say her name. Ambiance It's a modern breakfast place. It seems rather empty. Kinda odd. When we visited, there were more employees than customers. Generally, not a good sign. Food Coffee is okay. NOT great. The ham and cheddar omelet was okay. It looked far better than it tasted. The ham was way to fatty for my taste. (The Mgr offered me a piece of chicken - that was nice) The "yard bird" was very good. She gushed over how tender and juicy the chicken was. I like the addition of Cholula at each table. The chicken the Mgr brought out, looked, smelled, and tasted far better than the omlet. Overall They do NOT have turkey bacon or sausage. The only non pork breakfast options, oven roasted turkey, fried chicken, and hamburger. For breakfast? So far with 2 strikes. They only have cheddar and jack cheese. I generally prefer Swiss. I like that management is prior military--army. He is very nice. The Mgr was the best part Military No. This is the third strike.

We could tell there were a lot of repeat customers. The diners were enjoying their food and the servers seemed happy to be there. They seemed to enjoy talking to their regulars. I got chicken fried chicken and Dan got chicken fried steak. Both were good, but mine was better. That might be because I always prefer chicken fried chicken. The way the Brookside diner prepares chicken fried chicken is outstanding. I got a large piece of chicken that filled my plate. It was also thick. Some diners pound thin pieces of chicken to the point it's so thin that it is overdone in the time it takes to get the breading crisp. Not Brookside. They produce a perfect chicken fried chicken, nice and crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. I noticed a chalk board listing the specials. The day we were there, it was meatloaf. I also noticed some tempting deserts which I plan to get when I don't eat such a large meal. I enjoyed my experience at the Brookside Diner. Looking forward to our next visit.

It was served steaming with a steak knife on the side, which told me it had been microwaved to heat it up. A warm cinnamon roll is hard to beat, but one that has been overheated is a challenge to cut and chew (remember the steak knife?). I'd prefer to have it cold rather than too hot. We went on a Thursday afternoon at 4:00, so we didn't expect it to be busy. There were a few people there but not a bunch. We were promptly greeted by the hostess and shown to a booth. Our waitress brought our menus and silverware right behind the hostess. She asked if we knew what we wanted to drink and I ordered Decaf Coffee. My wife deferred to later once she knew what she was going to eat. The coffee arrived a few minutes later and I placed my order for the Belgian Waffle, 2 eggs scrambled, Hash Browns, and 2 Sausage Links. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and a side of biscuits and gravy and regular coffee. First before I forget, I am somewhat of a portly fellow. I carry about 70 pounds more than my doctor likes, and it's all right above my belt. Remember that the hostess put us in a booth, which usually is a challenge for me, because of my extra tire that I carry. But I was pleasantly surprised that this booth was spacious. It had plenty of room for us extra large folks without trying to move the table. The coffee, was good. Remember that I drink decaf coffee, so when I say it was good, thats saying a lot. I even asked the waitress if she had forgotten and brought me regular coffee and she assured me it was decaf. When the food arrived, I was so impressed by how good it looked, I forgot to take a photo, so the attached photo shows what was left when I was full. The waffle was the main thing I was after. I love waffles, and it's hard to find a good waffle. The menu claims they are Belgian Waffles, and I cannot disagree. They tasted like the Belgian Waffles I had in Paris, so I believe they are. The has browns normally don't rate a mention, but these hash browns were soft and not crunchy, and tasted like I expected hash browns to taste, from the first bite to the last. The eggs were scrambled well, which I would have preferred loose, but that's my fault for not specifying. I also ordered link sausage which was cooked as it should be. Next time I'll order bacon. The reason I avoided the bacon is that most places either burn it or leave it partially raw. Based on how the rest of my meal was cooked, I expect the bacon will be cooked right. I'm looking forward to my next visit already.
