One of the smaller Waffle Houses I've been to and while that's not saying much since I'm from a part of the country without them I travel more than most. Went here twice on my trip to Dallas. Took 1 order to go and the other I ate in. This location is 24 hours, but their dining room is not. Came here after the club and they were in the process of clearing out so no new customers would be sat, so I took it togo. That was actually the first time I'd ever not eaten inside at any location. I was fine with that because I was hungry, but worried I wouldn't get all the accoutrements. I got most, but was hoping for enough syrup. Now i know what I need to ask for extra of. Price is still great, hashbrowns came just the way I like and ordered it. Service was good. That always on edge feeling can be comforting. Bathroom wasn't half bad. It's a little strange it being around so much fast food. Usually WH's are not just stand alone, but alone. Glad WH now takes mobile wallet payments as I try to carry as few cards as necessary. It has been decades since I ate at a waffle House so when a friend of the family suggested it I was all in. I wasn't disappointed. For one thing the service was great. Especially since at 11 am on a weekday the place was packed. There were five of us and our server brought a chair so we wouldn't have to crowd three on one side of the booth. Add to that we weren't rushed. He patiently answered our questions and delivered our complicated order without error. And the food? Well, it's breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection. I had eggs, hash browns, sausage, toast and coffee. Ambience? It's Waffle House. If you've seen one you've seen them all. 'Nuff said. One of the best waffle houses I've been to. Service and food was really great. It was clean too. I always ask for my hash browns to be crispy on both sides and this is the only one to ever do it for me! I didn't order any food here as we didn't get the option to do so as we walked in the place was kinda busy but after 5 mins it's started getting emptier but nobody was cleaning any tables off. There was an elderly handicapped couple and they were waiting for some time as well and they seemed to be getting frustrated as well for they tried to make the go sit in a booth when the lady was in a wheelchair and they were confused why as well. I asked one of the workers if we could sit in the booth and she said after the clean it off (with some attitude) and I waited 10 mins and nobody was coming to do that at any of the other empty tables either. We got tired of waiting and decided to leave and went to another Waffle House that was 10 mins away and it was 10x better. I don't think I will ever come back here again. read more

Walked in today. Waitress was rude from the start. I work in the service industry so I know how it is. My boyfriend ordered a burger plate. Burger came with no veggies. I ordered a Texas chicken melt. She brought me a chicken burger. I didn't complain because we were starving. When she served his waffle she literally tossed it on the table. When I went inside, the place was pretty packed. However, that did not stop the brigade of young women from bringing out my two pecan waffles, two sausage, and two bacon out in a timely fashion! Really impressed with the service and their throughput! I don't know where the other bad reviews are coming from, but the team of young POC women was awesome during my visit! The thing I had to take out a star for is the fact that I found a small piece of hair on my fork after taking a few bites. They were slammed whenever I came in, so I could tell that cleanliness wasn't really a big priority at that time. Instead of raising a stink to switch out forks, I just sucked it up. So. This is probably going to be my last Waffle House experience... I don't really know any of these workers names but it was frustrating. I came in and there was practically no open tables that were clean at all. Plates with food were everywhere (nothing was cleaned up). That should've been my sign to not eat there...but I did. I ordered my food, which included sausage, and instead I got ham. It wasn't that big of a deal so I just dealt with it instead of asking for my sausage. But I never got a fork...I had to ask the waitress for one. It also took a while for me to get my waffle and then the cook had to remind the waitress that I probably needed syrup as well. I had noticed that at this point the supervisor, Chris, finally decided to pop in and start cleaning. He asked me if I wanted a drink, which is nice but I didn't need one. I hear the waitress and the cook but mostly the waitress complain about the supervisor and how they had to work way more than they needed to because their manager was lazy (I'm assuming they were talking about the supervisor). The supervisor would ask other tables that came in after other people if they wanted drinks even though there were other people that needed to be waited on. He apparently also had unplugged something so they couldn't accept credit cards either, which I don't carry cash...so I had to wait for my boyfriend to come with cash (30 minute wait). Apparently the waitress was working off the clock and Chris wasn't really working at all. As soon as my boyfriend came, I gave money to the cook and ran out of there. I didn't want change and I tipped way more than was necessary but I did NOT want to be there any longer than I did. read more

The restaurant we saw all throughout our drive. Waffle House. Must be a Texas thing. Well I'm glad we stopped by. Conveniently nearby our hotel at the Holiday inn. It was the best breakfast we've had since we've been in Texas. When you look at the menu you think it's a small portion but it was just right I couldn't even finish all my hash browns it was more than enough. The eggs cooked to perfection hash browns perfect to the crisp. Ham is freaking delicious!!! Waffles look crispy on the outside but once you bite into it it's like a cloud. Must try the peanut butter waffles they are yuuuuuummmy. Definitely recommend this place. Oh and best of all the staff. They are very welcoming and super sweet. No problem with the food. It's what I expected at a Waffle House. Kinda hard to screw up eggs, sausage and hash browns. The place is filthy which makes me question why they have 5-6 ladies on the time clock and only two working ( the cook and the person taking my order). The others were more worried about what music to play and what happened the night before. I'm updating my review because the last few times I've been to this location they've been terrible. I always order the same thing - cheesy egg plate with two extra eggs. This time I placed two orders one for me and one for my daughter. I got an emergency call that my sister's dog needed to go to the emergency vet as I was checking out with my order so I didn't check it before I left. I got home and on one of the plates only had two cheesy eggs not four like II had paid for. I live in the ferry and it's not worth calling any restaurant to ask for your money back or credit towards next time they think you're trying to steal or get something for free. This experience wouldn't been such a big deal if it doesn't happen often - probably two out of five times I've ordered. I am writing this review because I was surprised to see that enough people had rated it low enough to give it just 3 stars. I have only written two reviews before on "chain" restaurants and it was because of awesome customer service. This time is no different. On a recent early morning road trip out of state, my gal pal and I were starving and looking for quick and easy breakfast sustenance on our route. The Waffle House provides. So we planned a stop and followed the exit, pretty happy to get some WH since they aren't around in our neck of the woods. We stayed simple with some eggs, toast, grits, hashbrowns and a waffle because "When in Rome....." you order everything. Food was well cooked and my over medium eggs were pretty dang tasty. You really can't get too much wrong with breakfast foods, yet somehow I have had it happen at places time and again. So the fact that this place had our food to us quickly and cooked well was already a major perk, especially since this was an early Saturday morning visit and the place was pretty packed. But the real reason for this review is the awesome staff here, who not only greeted us at the door with someone to open it and welcome us in, but had an entire staff yell out hellos and good mornings. We were road weary at this point so just that simple element was enough to let us know we had made the right choice. Our waitress was so friendly, so helpful and quick, and even though she was being requested all over the counter for odds and ends and orders, she always made sure our drinks were full and was just the sweetest. I actually regret not remembering her name because she was delightful. We felt like we were regulars at a local diner instead of just dropping in on a place off the freeway. Another added bonus was that when I went to the restroom there was an employee waiting there, as well, and she insisted I go first, despite my protestations, and was just so friendly, once again, that I left smiling and happy and wishing I could tip her, too. Just going beyond the call of what normal job duties imply is what makes this particular Waffle House stand out from the pack of however many I have frequented throughout the years (and in my young days of late night clubbing, there were plenty. Trust me on thAt.) So, in conclusion, if you want fast food delivered with a smile and then some, if you want to feel welcome and warm while traveling, this place is definitely worth a visit, chain or not. Good food at good prices is something everyone can enjoy, for sure, but great customer service and smiles are priceless. Typical fast and easy Waffle House Breakfast. But what makes This WH unique is the cute and bouncy and always friendly (and sometimes dancing and singing) hostess. I haven't caught her name the couple of times that we've gone there for breakfast on the weekends (she's always moving).. I realize this is a new location, but man the service sucks. I order hashbrowns all the way at least twice a week for breakfast. I normally order from the Garland location near my home, but this location is closer to my work so I started ordering from here ( so my food is hot, since only 3 minutes from my work). They argue that they don't have all the way hashbrowns, I ask to hold the jalapenos and chili and they never do. I never have this issue with Garland, In fact I call and say hashbrowns all the way and they know its me and say the usual. My hashbrowns were not cook very well despite me asking for them to be burned. The bacon was ordered extra crispy and it was floppy. I also ordered a large order of bacon and was charged for 2 separate orders. Any time i needed my tea refilled i had to flag down the waitress who was day dreaming at the other end of the counter. When i pointed out I was charged for two orders of bacon rather than the large that i ordered the waitress got rude. I frequent Waffle House, but i will not be back to this one. read more

Great new location for Waffle House. In a chain known for its patina and charm in most locations, it's strange to see a brand new one. Everything inside is pristine, but the charm is evident. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. My only complaint (and reason for -1 star) on my first visit was the wait time for food, but that may be due to the new staff - my hope is it will get better over time and this review will be adjusted accordingly. Standard diner fare in the kitschy standard environment of the Waffle House. This location has a jukebox, like others locally, with music that adds ambiance without deafening you. Two cash registers are available to help ease rush hours and take-out orders. Looking forward to many more meals at this favorite. read more

I went to this location on thanksgiving, and it is by far the best Waffle House I have ever been to. Their staff was super friendly and accommodating to my vegetarian requests! The music was great! My second time at this new location. The first time was understandable since everyone was in training. The food was good but the service was not quite there. The food was good once we got it. On our second return the service was still off. Once we were seated it took over 10 minutes to be noticed. Or rather we we we able to flagged someone down. I order my eggs over medium and request that the whites of the egg be cooked. I cut into my eggs and the whites ran all over the plate. I put the plate to the side with the uncooked eggs while I ate the toast and coffee. Finally once my boyfriend was finished eating the waitress came over to see if we needed anything else. I showed her the plate with the raw eggs. All she said was sorry and gave us a check. Made no adjustment to the check. We took the check to the register and was asked how everything was. We told the young man that the eggs we ordered were not cooked. He said sorry and he would let the cook know. Again, no offer to adjust the check. You would think when you have the word "Waffle" in the name of the restaurant, you would find it important to at least make an edible waffle. Not so. I was so hoping this restaurant would serve even decent food since it is in my neighborhood. But, sadly, no. The bacon did not even resemble or taste like bacon. The waffle was a limp, tasteless thing, the Eggo version in a toaster puts it to shame. The eggs were average, and the toast was limp. They were training, as it had just opened, and we were greeted by about 50 employees saying "Good Morning" when we arrived. However, with all those employees, I still ended up refilling my own coffee. There were numerous ceiling leaks, so one employee was relegated to the never ending task of mopping the puddles as they appeared. I am not a huge fan of Denny's just across the street, but found myself wishing I were there instead. read more
