I want to preface this with I'm more of an Ihop kind of guy. I went there yesterday as a little late breakfast/brunch date. The food overall was really good. Had a chocolate chip waffle and bacon patty melt. While my SO had a chicken melt ,cheese grits ,chicken hash brown bowl,(she shared some with me it was really good might get that next time for myself) and pecan waffles. So I am always in a mood to eat Waffle House. So we went on Monday and it was kinda packed but there was no wait for 2 to eat. The server was nice but it seems like there was a bit of a lag.... I asked for my waffle first but the waitress stated that she burned them ....... I got my waffle after my eggs and had browns I had to wait for bacon. I had eaten my waffle before the bacon came. Absolutely horrible. After waiting for a table for 40min, we were seated by Hannah. 15min later & after being passed by multiple times with excuses about why we couldn't be served yet...2 other party's were seated & began being being served! I walked over to the waitress HANNAH who was the same waitress that had seated my family & kept making excuses why she was serving people that she had seated after us. More excuses & then a male "manager" walked up who had previously been cooking food. We then left. I won't do business & spend my hard earned money where Im not valued & appreciated. These people work hard and make awesome food all day. It's Waffle House so don't be all high and mighty about it. They might have flies because Louisiana is hot and this place is sticky AF. Some of the best bacon and waffles I've had in a while, without the bougie long lines that some breakfast spots have. And if they're not very friendly to you don't be mad, they don't get paid enough for that. Waffle House is an American Classic, and you always get good hot food 24/7, no fuss. This isn't a Waffle House, it's a Waffle Home. Door opened for us. Greeted upon entry by manager who then showed us to our table. Where am I? Smiles - everywhere. Energy - BUZZIN. Workers - happy to be here! Like, what? Let's talk about Ms. Lisa, the manager. Talk about a busy bee... singing, dancing, cleaning tables, greeting customers, supporting her workers on the line. Missed out on a huge tip by calling the police when a rude couple behind us cut in front of us and took a seat as soon as people got up from their booth. If they had simply said you get seated in the order you come in and told the other couple to please wait their turn I was going to tip them $100 for doing the right thing. Instead the police came and asked us and the other couple who jumped in front of us to leave so they lost the business of both. If you just would watch who comes in and seat them in order you would have enjoyed a nice tip tonight. Hope the management learns from this experience. read more

Hole in the wall type of place.... But man do they do breakfast good. The place needs to be thoroughly cleaned from floor to ceiling. Typical late night diner atmosphere. But with that said, the food is pretty good. The lady that waited on us did a very good job taking care of our large group. It's easy to find something to eat on the menu. We go to Waffle House about once a week, alternating between Walker and Denham. Today the one in Denham decided to charge us a new $4.00 take out fee. According to BeBe, all new Waffle Houses are doing this. While I understand it was rebuilt after the flood, this location has been here for years. First, they would not take order over the phone to pick up because they had a full house. They said I had to come in to order at the restaurant. Which only makes it more crowded when you have to place your order then wait inside for it. After waiting about 10 minutes at the counter with the employee's walking back and forth and not asking me if I have been helped until I stopped one of them and asked if someone could take my order. I ordered a triple order of hash browns with everything on it except gravy. I did not check the order until I got home and they did not put everything I asked for on it and instead it had on sliced piece of cheese melted in a square on top. When I called to speak to the manager I was told that she said she was too busy to talk. Horrible service and poor quality food. Not the first time. The Waffle House in Walker is 10 times better and owned by the same person. Why is there such a big difference I am guessing management. read more

The food is decent, and it's one of the few places to get breakfast around here. We've been several times, but it got to the point where I was just too grossed out by the ambiance to eat there. The entire place smells like a public bathroom. The tables, silverware, and dishes are frequently dirty. It's also always crowded with people who reek of cigarette smoke. If you're a smoker yourself, you may not mind, but as a pregnant non-smoker, it's a dealbreaker. Based on food alone, it would probably get three or four stars, but due to the atmosphere and lack of cleanliness, I'm only giving two. read more

This place is disgusting! It took forever to get served and the place was FILTHY! When our food finally came, a roach dropped from the nasty air conditioning vent. Midway through our meal, our server sat down to eat; we never were so much as offered a refill on our drinks. Never, ever will I eat at a Waffle House again... The food was good, but the service was less than acceptable. I have eaten at many many Waffle House and never experienced any service like I had today. We weren't greeted or seated upon entry, and when the waitress did Pass the booth, she said she would get to us in a minute, and when she came to the table with pad in hand, she immediately asked what would we like to order, and I told her that we needed to see a menu first. When the food came to the table which was all ordered from the breakfast menu, the cheese was not on my grits as ordered, the sausage patties did not arrive at the table at the same time, no butter was on the grits, and I had to ask for some. The double cheeseburger that my son ordered came to the table naked and it was ordered fully dressed along with bacon. He had to ask for the lettuce and tomato, and my waffle never came to the table for the All Star breakfast that I had ordered, and when going over the bill prior to cashing out, I realized that the bacon was on the bill, but it was put on the cheeseburger or brought separately to the table. read more
