I've always been a fan of Waffle House but this is my first visit to this location. My waitress, Tammy, was polite and attentive but she wouldn't even let me explain how I wanted my order prepared. I couldn't finish a sentence. That being said, she made sure I had full drinks and checked on me often. When she brought me my check it was for another table. I tried to get her attention but was helped by one of the managers (I think there was a manager meeting of some kind). After I got my correct check (which was much less since I was dining alone and the other table had more than one person) I sat and drank my yummy coffee. The reason for the 5 stars is based on the young man that came in a few minutes before I was leaving. He was welcoming and made me feel like my patronage was appreciated. I mentioned to him how I enjoyed his attitude and he said, "I like to treat every customer as if they own the store." I laughed and said, "I'm missing a few paychecks then!" He smiles and pointed to the sign above the cash register that read "pay checks here". It's that kind of customer service that every Waffle House (or any restaurant for that matter) should have, encourage and reward. read more

I have been to many waffle houses and was at this one last week for breakfast. They have off street parking and we sat at the bar. As I found at most any WH, the service was fast and friendly. I ordered 2 eggs over easy, crispy hash browns and toast along with bacon and sausage. The food was cooked perfectly and the hash browns were crispy but not overdone, which seems to happen a lot. The place was exceptionally clean for a waffle house in my opinion. I will try it again but for a fast food chain, I have to give this location a 4! read more

Let's be clear this is Waffle House AKA The Awful Waffle. You know what you're getting when you go to the Waffle House. It's not fine dining, customer service will never be over the top, and consider yourself lucky if you get the right order the first time. We live in North Georgia but we travel to this particular location only because it's not your average Waffle House. It's always friendly, it's always clean, and they always get my order right. There is a cook there his name is Caleb and he is the king of cooking my food to perfection. He even takes the time to step away from cooking to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. My glass was never empty, and our server was really nice. When we need a quick inexpensive meal - this is our go to. They have a $5 menu that has now been up'd to $6. But that includes a drink. You do have to ask to see that menu as they do not just randomly put it in front of you. I will say one other thing about this particular Waffle House it is always ice cold in there. I love that but Erin always has to take a hoodie. So if you get a chance to visit and you like your hash browns crispy crispy ask Caleb for potato chips. I really hate to be giving this waffle house only 2 stars because we have been there a couple of times in the last week and have recieved good service. The first day by a young man with dark hair I don't remember his name, very sorry. He was very attentive and had commented on what a good day he was having because he was waking to work and his grandma had picked him up and given him a ride. (If that helps at all in identifying him) he did great. However me and my mom went in th e second time and not that the service or food was bad, they just could have handled this situation a little better. Me and my mom ordered our breakfast this included biscuits and gravy for my mother (I just have not become a fan of them yet). Well we served most of our breakfast after maybe a little longer them it should have taken considering there really was nobody in the restaurant. Anyway I am sure that they have made their white gravy enough times to know exactly how long it takes to prepare it and if they weren't prepared to serve it they should let their customers know this ahead of time. Me and my mom were in know hurry at all we were just enjoying our time out together. We did ask a few times about the where abouts of the biscuits and gravy and were told they were working on them. A restuarant expecting their customers to wait 40 minutes for there food is really unexceptable. After finishing everything we were served and my coffee, again not in a hurry. After about 40 minutes or so finally told the server we needed to leave and to please take the biscuits and gravy off our bill. I just think that if they weren't prepared to serve the biscuits in gravy and knowing how long. It takes to prepare they should have left is know this and definitely after about 10 minutes someone should have asked my mom if she would like something to replace the item. Then she could have just ordered the hashbrowns like she originally had thought of getting. The food we did get was great and I guess our server did the best she could but this is just really not the best way to handle the situation. The waffle hmmmm house is a thing in the south and you would think they would better know how to deal with this situation. We didn't ask for a manager so I don't know who or if anyone was running the restaurant at this time but it's a very small place and if someone was or had been running it. I would think they would know the situation at hand and would have come to our table and apologized for what happened and handled it a little better. So to whom this may concern find out who or if anyone was even leading the store at the time and let them know that that is no way to run a restuarant and that they are truely lacking in customer service skills and overall management skills in general. Very disappointing experience. I hope this isn't they waggle house norm. I would hate to think a company so well know and so widely spread. There are a million of these places in the south actually runs like this. That would truly be a Shame. read more

I've frequented this Waffle House and it is the best service I've ever had at a Waffle House (not the highest bar, but still worth mentioning). The food is good as well, not the greatest I've had at Waffle House, but still very good. My kids like the food (again, not the highest bar, lol). A better choice if you want a quicker meal and definitely service when comparing to the Cracker Barrel next door which can also get crazy busy. read more

So how does a Waffle House; 1. Not have any gravy for biscuits made at 8 am; and 2. How does the server not know? So I always get biscuits and gravy when I'm traveling and I stop at Waffle Houses. So me and my hubby stop and get breakfast. He gets scrambled, bacon, hash browns and toast. I order biscuits and gravy and hash browns. Server asks how many sausage patties I tell him 2. Other server comes with order and hands me 2 patties and hash browns. Um, where's the gravy and biscuits? Comes back to inform they have none and won't for 20 min. meanwhile hubby is 1/4 way done with his food. So I tell them just give me 2 scrambled. Fine, right? Well 10 min later I got my scrambled. Not really sure what was going on with their staff this morning but I left in the middle of my breakfast. I am accustomed to traveling and interacting with various people throughout the world being active duty Navy. By far this has been the worst treatment I have ever experienced. I ordered the All Star Breakfast with no eggs add hashbrowns. The gentleman started off wrong when he served me my food. He forgot the meal came with grits and my hashbrowns were missing the chili. I asked him about it and he gave me the grits but never gave me my hashbrowns. After waiting 10 mins, I get up to find him so I can get my hashbrowns. He returns with them but they are cold. He explained that he forgot them while he was getting my grits. At this point, I wasnt upset. After about 20 mins of me enjoying my breakfast and reading the news, he comes to my table and told me I needed to pay now because of shift change. Mind you, he did not approach other customers that was there before me. I stopped what I was doing to pay him. He grabbed the check and I flowed him to the register. He walks away to do something, now I'm upset. I dig in my purse and toss $15 on the counter and leave. Now I will mention a few other things. The grits were so thick and cold so to thin them I added some of the water I was drinking to them. Also, I was the only African American in the restaurant. I say all this because this morning was money and time wasted. When all I wanted was a relaxing morning to clear my thoughts considering I just traveled over 700 miles to attend a funeral. This place was PACKED when we walked in. Not a single empty table and only 3 spots left at the bar. We decided to order to go. The food took very little time to cook and was very tasty. The waitresses made polite conversation with us while we waited and were very friendly. I wish we could have stayed and eaten in, but maybe we'll try again on another day. read more

My daughter and I went here on a Sunday around lunch time. Customer service doesn't exist. We go in and see 2 dirty tables, we sit at one finally someone cleans it. No one greets us. We see our waitress right in front of us fondeling receipts she never says hello she looks at us but never offers a drink or be with u in a min. Customers come first not papers. Customers give u tips so I can pay your light bill not paperwork. I told me daughter get up and we left. I'd drive across town for customer service any day. Will never chi back to this Waffle House and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. First thing, we go in and the only booth has been cleared, but not wiped down. We wait a short while and one waitress finally cleaned it off. Let me add, they didn't give the usual welcome when we waked in. The waitress seemed cold and almost as we were an interruption to her. She brought on drink, and about a minute later, another. I look around and right next to me on the counter is a stack of dirty glasses piled up. She brings part of the order, and then the rest of the order. The bacon served with the breakfast is half size of what it should be, curled up, and not fully done. Hash browns were cooked partially, on one side as well. Finally, our check total was inaccurate due to an addition error by the waitress as well, and to our favor. That all being said, this location has little or no passion for the quality of standard for their food and a lack of trained and caring staff.
