I haven't been to one in years...since I left Texas and the one nearest my house was often sketchy at the time of night I was going, but it was a fun sketchy and the prices were right for the "me"back then. Fast forward a few years and a different state. The food is still filling, still reasonably plentiful considering the price of everything today, the wait staff friendly and with an unerring ability to make customers laugh. The smell of waffles permeates the air making salivating a Pavlovian reaction. But don't let that deter you from the hash browns which along with the waffles takes center stage, I think, Nope. Very little here is truly cardio friendly but who cares? Come for the folksy vibe and wait staff dry wit. Not sure about the sketchy part, I gave up keeping those hours a few lifetimes ago ... We went to this Waffle House for breakfast, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The manager, Joe, was highly unprofessional. I simply wanted to switch seats because I didn't want to feel crammed next to other people, and instead of handling it professionally, he decided to make snarky jokes after I moved. I found that inappropriate, especially from someone in a management position. After looking through other reviews, it seems this kind of behavior is not unusual, which honestly explains a lot. Customer service matters, and I'm not going to spend my money somewhere I feel disrespected. I will not be returning to this Waffle House. I'd rather drive to the one in Longmont, where the customer service is much better. read more

We arrived from a long drive and he greeted us with a friendly smile and helped us out with such positivity. He was very patient with us. We were tired from our drive, yet his personality helped energize us. The service was excellent Steven, the cook, was equally excellent. He was also very energetic. We spoke with him after we were done with our food, to compliment him. He was very positive as well. Both Adam and Steven make a good team. The store was spotless, the restroom stocked and spotless, our server was great (Stephanie), the price was right and, best of all, the food was delicious. I love this Waffle House! I'm a fan of simple breakfast food, especially when we can go and enjoy a hot, filling breakfast under $20 for two. I think there have been some updates/upgrades over the past few months as there seems to be small differences like the waffle press pattern is a bit different and although still having that perfect crisp on the outside; they seem to be a bit fluffier in the middle. The dining area is always kept pretty tidy. There isn't a lot of cushion on the chairs and booths, however, I appreciate it because to me it adds to the sense of cleanliness. They keep things wiped down, leaving any leftover syrup without a chance. Although I don't like people in my bubble, the proximity of some of the seats to the kitchen is part of the charm. The workers there always have a genuine cheery mood and polite. Food temp is always on point. We eat the hash browns first as they tend get cold fast and are not as enjoyable. I don't mind when the juke box is on, however, if that's not your thing it's a smaller restaurant and can feel a little noisy very fast. I had no clue, but one of the cooks shared that although not on the menu, they can whip up a pretty decked out omelet and other off menu items. I had a cheese, mushroom, tomato, and ham omelet and it was hearty and filling.... I Almost couldn't finish my waffle. However, I'm always able to make room for a Waffle House waffle! read more

Let me tell you about this place. First of all, I've never been to a Waffle House before. Our waitress Naomi was lovely and engaging. The best waffles EVER!! Good coffee, and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. My husband was a bit hesitant because of his previous late night experience at another location, but I loved this one! On a road trip from Boise Idaho, to Port Aransas, Texas, then back home to Boise. Our last day of the trip with a wonderful send off. read more

A hidden gem in Colorado!!! My husband and I stopped here today to grab some breakfast before heading out to South Dakota, and we were absolutely thrilled we did. The prices here are awesome for the amount of food you get. Everything here looks, tastes, and smells amazing. I guarantee you will find something delicious here off the menu. The waffles and grits here were outstanding. In my opinion these were the best tasting items, which says a lot because everything here tastes great. We visited the Fort Collins Waffle House on Mulberry Ave tonight. Absolutely the worst Waffle House experience we have ever had. The server took the order incorrectly and then argued with me. I asked him to substitute hashbrowns for the grits on the All Star and he told me I asked for grits. It comes with grits; I did not ask to substitute grits for the grits. Then, the waffles came out cold, underdone and soggy. One came without the whipped cream we ordered, and one came without the pecans we ordered. The server never came back to the table to check on us. When he dropped off the check (and tried to leave the table without a word), I sent two of the waffles back, explaining that they were underdone. He asked what I meant, and I said "underdone." He took the waffles and the check and left without a word. We were never asked if we wanted the waffles remade, or if we wanted something else. After waiting a few minutes (when everyone else was done eating) we went to the register to pay. The server said to me, "I started two more waffles." I told him that I did not care, we were leaving because everyone was done eating. He repeated, "But, I started two more waffles." I told him to charge for me the waffles because we were leaving. Not only did he charge me for the two waffles we sent back, he charged me for the two waffles he started (waffles we did not order). He charged me for 4 waffles, two of which never came to the table and were not ordered. This will be our absolute last visit to Waffle House. read more

I discovered Waffle House when traveling in Georgia back in 2019. I liked stopping at this southern chain. In 2020, I found a Waffle House in Firestone (Colorado). I only had waffles at these locations. Then, I found this one in Fort Collins. I had this back in October 2022 late at night, where I ordered a cheesesteak melt hash brown bowl l. I came back here on July 4th, 2023, and had a pig out. I ordered the cheesesteak bowl and a waffle. The cheesesteak bowls is shredded potatoes, beef steak pieces, American cheese, and grilled onions. The food was excellent. The service is quick and courteous. I always get offers for coffee refills. I like the retro diner ambience of Waffle Houses. I always like going to restaurants where I feel that I went back in time to the mid 20th century. This place is also open 24 hours a day, and that's great. read more

They look out for my vegan friends with good food recommendations/substitutes, make the best well-down hashbrowns, and the waitresses are always the best. Where do I start? This Waffle House is centrally located off the I-25/14 freeway, so it's nearby all the hotels in Fort Collins. No disrespect to the Dennys a block down, but they aren't even touching the level of courtesy and good eats here. My Fiancé and I stopped at this location on the way to the New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins. When we entered the building we were greeted with a warm hello from the women behind the counter. Our server took no time to come and introduce herself and take our order. We have been to multiple waffle house locations, so we already had an idea of what we were going to order. We both ordered the ALL-STAR Special with a few minor differences. Mine included scrambled eggs with cheese, smothered hash browns with mushrooms, and my fiancés included plain scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. While waiting for our food I went to the restroom which was very outdated but very clean. All the tables, floors, grills, and prep areas where the employees were working were very clean.
