Awful! Stopped in on the way home from running errands, walked in, they said, "seat yourself ", we did, they proceeded to ignore the hell out of us! There was 6 customers inside, 4 of which already had food, employees stood around and said nothing! Nobody came to the table, NOBODY! One guy came over and cleaned the booth behind us, still nothing! We waited approximately 10 minutes more, then left, not sure if it was racial, or laziness! Either way, its bs, we went to the location in Middletown, and were greeted within a minute, seated, and got food within 10 minutes of getting there, Brittany was great! Will definitely never go to Franklin location again, as a former server, this is not acceptable, idgaf what restaurant you're in! Fuck them read more

Waffle House is a staple in Americana History. I've been to this location several times in the past, and I love coming here when I visit family since there aren't any locations in Michigan. Come for the waffles, stay for the coffee, and get your hash browns scattered, smothered, covered & peppered. I ordered the All Star Special, my fiancé had a waffle, hash browns all the way, and biscuits and gravy. Everything was delicious! The gravy is more of a sawmill gravy, so if you're looking for sausage gravy they don't have it. Staff was friendly and even though they were busy, they were on it. It's COVID times and they're still short staffed but doing their best, be patient. read more

Don't listen to all these other reviews. This is one of the best waffle houses out there. Now granted I only ever go in the morning. But they are always fast no matter how busy they are. They are always super tentative to you and I drink a lot of Coke when I eat out and I'm never without a refill. Food is always 10/10 consistent everytime. I haven't eaten in a WH since the late 1990's when we drove out to the east coast. I parked and fueled my truck at the Pilot and decided I needed some fuel too, so I walked across the parking lot. The place was spotless, you could eat off the floor! I was promptly brought water and asked what I'd like. I asked for a few minutes so I could picture shop the menu on both sides five or six times. Then I ordered the All Star Special with sausage, over medium eggs, and smothered hash browns, and a plain waffle, you can add chocolate chips or peanut butter to it if you want. Before the pandemic and chaos for restaurants, this was our preferred spot to grab WH. The service was impeccible at any time of day, the food was hot and perfect, and the atmosphere was always alive and bustling. We returned recently after a craving hit, and boy have things changed. I'm not sure if any of the original staff are still there, but the current lineup on a Sunday evening were green at best. Our server was soft spoken, and was barely attentive to our table (the place was not crowded, though the take out business was decent so I understand). The cook line was nearly dead silent as one worker struggled to prepare our meals, with little communication or assistance from the management on duty. After an awkwardly lengthy wait, the food arrived in two parts, and not up to the usual standard held to this establishment. Most of our table was ready to give up before the food even arrived (around a 20 minute ticket time) for a few waffles, a scramble bowl, some bacon and an All-star. Overall we were not satisfied with our experience. I see room for improvement and encourage the staff to work together to be more efficient. read more

I like the all star meal special but using good eggs with good cholesterol can really run up the flame level on my dinner plate. I suggest adding some lemon and lime drinks and some more veggies as well as lunch salads and maybe a tea garden or two to mouth read more

I wouldn't recommend, I was having a really bad day and I stopped to get a good meal, unfortunately the person at the front named sierra was a really bitchy person. she treated us so poorly and made us not want to be there. it's like she treated my boyfriend differently because he's a muslim. when we came up to pay my bf doesn't speak English very well and she asked for the receipt and he responded " I don't know what this is" and she said very rude and snotty " I NEED THAT!" then proceeded to turn around the the other staff and roll her eyes and give the hand motion/ facial expression of "is he stupid" it really upset me so I asked for the GM and her name. she started laughing and the other lady said " we don't have a gm" so I said it's fine I will call tmo and they laughed. The audacity of the people that are hired is crazy. I get work is hard but don't be disrespectful!!! those kind of people should not work in public areas if they are going to be so negative. Where I'm from, the Waffle House is dirty and dingy, and smells of body odor. However, this was a great experience on the way home from Kings Island. I could see the team work effort from everyone. We waited approximately 5 minutes a when a booth came available we got up and moved towards it as we were next in line. When we arrived at the booth the waitress stopped us and said they were closing the booth. When I asked why she stated the cook could not keep up with all the tables. It was then we moved to the counter the cook turned to us and did everything in her power to embarrass us in front of the entire restaurant. It was extremely unprofessional and we walked out. Typical Waffle House experience. I'm not going to lie and say that it was amazing which it wasn't. I got the typical all star breakfast with eggs, waffle, raisin toast, hash browns and bacon with water. The place was dirty and it took some time before there was a safe clean place to sit. Upon arrival for employees were outside smoking no patrons in the restaurant chains on all the chairs three of four employees started inside the restaurant on my arrival last employee was asked by me is the dining room open for dining guest she said she didn't know she didn't think so so I left I could not understand why there were for employees on the clock no dining service at a dine-in restaurant this is the third time this has happened this was at 100 hours on 7/29 2021. This place is exceptional, nestled between McDonald's, Wendy's, Subway, and White Castle. It would be impossible to find one Waffle House that tastes totally different than the next, so what makes one, in particular, exceptional has to be its people. This Waffle House, #551, is exceptional! Everyone, from the newly hired, Jeannie, to the seasoned vet, whose name I did not catch, were a joy and a wonder to behold. I have always grown up going to Waffle House with my dad, but, unfortunately, this occasion was not very pleasant. for starters, the drinks took 10-15 minutes to come to us, and we were the ONLY people in the restaurant (I came with my dad and girlfriend). and plus my drink was, I kid you not, to the point of being hot. the floor was so dirty and the servers were standing by the cash register eating candy while we waited. also the food was so greasy and, even, gross. my girlfriend began to feel sick afterward and my hash browns (covered in cheese) were a weak attempt to serve potatoes, undercooked and topped off with one cold square of processed cheese. overall not a very good experience, but room to improve, as I love Waffle House. read more
