a breakfast of waffles, eggs and bacon

Waffle House is a staple in Americana History. I've been to this location several times in the past, and I love coming here when I visit family since there aren't any locations in Michigan. Come for the waffles, stay for the coffee, and get your hash browns scattered, smothered, covered & peppered. I ordered the All Star Special, my fiancé had a waffle, hash browns all the way, and biscuits and gravy. Everything was delicious! The gravy is more of a sawmill gravy, so if you're looking for sausage gravy they don't have it. Staff was friendly and even though they were busy, they were on it. It's COVID times and they're still short staffed but doing their best, be patient.

I haven't eaten in a WH since the late 1990's when we drove out to the east coast. I parked and fueled my truck at the Pilot and decided I needed some fuel too, so I walked across the parking lot. The place was spotless, you could eat off the floor! I was promptly brought water and asked what I'd like. I asked for a few minutes so I could picture shop the menu on both sides five or six times. Then I ordered the All Star Special with sausage, over medium eggs, and smothered hash browns, and a plain waffle, you can add chocolate chips or peanut butter to it if you want. It's was good enough for me after a 513 mile day.

This one is now torn down. Anyone know if it is being rebuilt?

This location is moderate to age of specified type dinner but is an old classic to America with 24 hour breakfast food at a reasonable price. I hope the Waffle House is still open and this restaurant satisfies your empty needs 🏡

Very, very clean. There was ideal background music, 60s-80s familiar tunes. Just loud enough to hear and enjoy. Bonus points, I did not notice any TV screens. We had two classic brunch dishes. The French Toast was amazing, thick, eggy, just enough cinnamon. The fresh fruit on top was a welcome surprise. My husband loved the Benedict, halfway through he mixed his hash browns in with the runny yolks and took it to a whole new level. There are some nice options offered on the breakfast/brunch menu. Coffee was decent and refills offered. We both cleaned our plates. I think our waitress was Kelly, not positive of the name. Dark hair. She was great, very real, like a small town diner waitress oughta be. Knew the menu and what to recommend. Just the right amount of conversation. We had gone to early Sunday Mass in Lebanon, driving back towards Eaton, and I had no less than four brunch possibilities lined up, all of which failed for one reason or another. It was karma because we were meant to end up at Alleyway Cafe. So glad we did and I highly recommend this spot for brunch!

Absolutely turned my stomach when it came. I also ordered a loaded baked potato and what came out was something I'd be embarrassed to serve. My friend ordered the scramble bowl. It had sausage in it, but sausage wasn't listed on the menu. Thankfully she wasn't allergic to pork. All that, and we waited 40 minutes for our food to come out. My husband did enjoy his pancakes.

Well, let me tell you what here's what I got I got a double cheeseburger with nothing on it I. In the bag were packets of ketchup and mustard, and in another little wrapper was burnt bacon. There is a difference between crispy and burnt. And then to top it all off They put an exorbitant amount of pickles on the container next to the burger. I don't understand why they couldn't have thrown two pickles on the damn burger. so by the time I got home. My burger was a soggy mess. Soaked in pickle juice. And the cost of this junkie mess for a burger and hashbrowns which by the way I wanted fries but OK. $15.60! So I got home and I look at the receipt and it was $13 for the burger and Hashbrowns. $1.30 service charge and $1.30 to go fee. What kind of malarkey is this?! For all of these extra charges, they should've at least put the burger together for me. And then when I try to call them, it's a recording saying if you wanna order a Carry Out do it online. I called that number five or six times and that's it. No one answers.
