I was traveling home for work, and decided to actually stop for food, instead of doing a four and a half hour drive at once (the midwestern in me, is mildly shamed at this) but I'm glad I did stop, because I was hungry! The Waffle House was crowded, however I was greeted when I walked in, and since I was alone, I could slip right in at the counter. I had coffee, which was tasty! A waffle, it was a bit crispy, but nothing that butter and syrup couldn't fix, I also had toast, bacon, eggs and tomatoes, it was all delicious, I'm glad I stopped to eat, it was a great breakfast, I'd stop there again given the chance. read more

Sometimes on a road trip, there's nothing like a big Waffle House breakfast to get you going. My husband loves Waffle House actually, so I've been to quite a few in various towns. This Waffle House was the best run I've ever seen. When we arrived, there wasn't a booth open for our family, but as soon as a group left, there was a busser there to get the table ready for us. Our waitress was so kind and patient with our kids who had been in the car for a while, and the cashier talked to our toddler despite being very busy. I was very impressed by the manager who was supportive of her team, shouting 'good job' at the cooks and helping to get food out to the tables. She was an excellent leader and the restaurant ran was running like a well-oiled machine. Our food was great too - hot, fresh, and served very quickly. I am giving this location 5 stars because our cook worked his butt off. There was a group of 9 baseball players and coaches coming in. He was the only one on duty at that time. He did everything and did not miss anything. There were other customers coming in too. I did not get his name but this location is lucky to have him. read more

The calendar said tomorrow was Valentine's Day. I knew I couldn't please them all when I could only get 1 reservation for the dining room at my White Castle. So I left town, driving south thru blizzards and road closures. In the wee hours of the morning, I parked at a small truck stop at Franklin, KY. Off to sleep I went, contemplating the dirty looks I would get when I return home. I woke up and the sun was out. No help to the temperatures outside, it was still 20°. Valentine's Day! My heart ached. What better remedy than to go to Waffle House. I found one merely 3/4 mile away. True, it was a brisk walk, but what better exercise to get back into my bikini figure!?! I was able to find the Waffle House easily - they have a large sign out front. I walked in and most of the booths were filled. I opted to sit at the counter. The delicious smell of waffles filled the air! The first order of business was to warm up from my walk. I was offered coffee, but decided on tea instead. Time to decide on a meal. I looked over both sides of the menu, finally selecting the Sausage Egg & Cheese Hashbrown Bowl. My sweet server probably knew it was Valentine's Day and saw that I was dining alone. In order to make me feel welcomed, she announced to everyone, the meal I had selected. In a loud voice. Okay, so the meal was good, service was excellent, and if I walk fast enough on the way back, it will probably be a zero-calorie result. Stop by when you're in the area. I-65, exit 2. Waffle House Fan! I travel. I travel a lot. This particular WH hit all my high notes. We walked in on a very early morning (Monday). There were two folks working. One was cleaning the other was in the back. The waiter stopped what he was doing and took our order. I have recently found that WH does a hashbrown bowl. You can order it with your choice of bacon or sausage (I always opt for the sausage). Pro Tip - Top it with Sausage Gravy. The tasty food came quick, the coffee continuous, the conversation was awesome and we were out the door on our way back to Pittsburgh. Great stuff - great people. read more

Sometimes they are really good , although not a healthy choice as with most greasy foods, they do make a tasty breakfast and the t bone steak is fairly cheap and not bad at all ! Throw some eggs and hash browns , yummy! It'll probably clean you out after but it's worth it once in a while ! Lol read more

Went in got table sat for over 25 minutes never got it cleaned had to move to another booth when the other waitress told the one helping us not to help anymore and walked away, never acknowledged us or offered us anything. So we left very upset and will never return. I highly don't recommend this dump! The restrooms were so nasty should have just gone in the parking lot it would have been cleaner. If there was a no-star selection they'd got it so they get one! read more

We stopped here for breakfast on the way to Orlando for vacation. When we were leaving we discovered that our battery was dead. I called AAA and as I was on the phone with them one of the workers came out and told us that the cook had a set of jumper cables and could help us with a jump. It was so nice of them to help us. We really appreciated their generosity. The food was good too. Lol read more

First time to a Waffle House restaurant, on 8/12/2012 and it was great. Being greeted with a smile as we walked in the door started the time there off right. Unfortunately, I had a much different experience from others who visited here. I haven't been to a lot of waffle houses but this was not a good impression of them. First, everything was sticky. It felt as though nothing was ever cleaned there: menus, tables, cups. Even the syrup contained was so sticky. I had to use a napkin. Our waitress was the worst. She never checked on us after we ordered and never asked us how anything taste. She gave us the bill when she brought our food with zero follow up. She clearly didn't want to be there. There was a nice man walking around and it seemed like he was doing all of the work for her. The entire time al we did was listen to her complain to her co-workers about having to get up early. In my opinion, I would just keep going. This place isn't worth the stop. There are better options for breakfast. read more

This is a business in serious decline ! After half a dozen bad trips I ain't going back ! Used to be the best breakfast place going. Soft scrambled come out hard ! Grits lumpy. The place was probably half full when we arrived. Looked like most people already had their food with the exception of one table. We sat at the table for 8-10 minutes and no one ever come to our table. While we were there one of the waitresses spent most of the time writing on something (Guest Checks?) The other one was talking and doing something with plastic take out bags. For the last 5 minutes we were there, both cooks had no orders that they were working on and was talking to some customers. Breakfast was good and service adequate. Definitely not the cleanest Waffle House I've ever been in (and I've been into quite a few). But the biggest complaint by far is that they still allow smoking inside this location. This chain should go smoke-free nationwide. read more
