The food was AMAZING and DELICIOUS. The waitress Kia kept an eye on me and was attentive to my order and even brought me a Togo water when I was ready to leave. I have been in Grenada for eight weeks staying at a hotel and although the hotel breakfasts are hot and good it just wasn't what I wanted. I ordered the 2 Egg Breakfast with Hash browns, toast and added bacon. I had a glass of milk with my order and now I feel like a whole new CowGirl. We had a little bit of a wait when we got here due to it being a busy time of the morning. My husband got the chicken with eggs and hash browns scattered smothered covered chunked and peppered. They forgot to add the ham and questioner us like we didn't look to see if it was added we moved them around and showed no ham. We just asked for some on the side and we would mix them in ourselves so we didn't have to send his full plate back. I got the waffle and it was undercooked. It was very light like they were just trying to get the plates out and not paying attention to details. So this location - in Grenada, Mississippi. It's very hit or miss with its customer service. The food is great if you can get any though. I stop in fairly often, often I ask for biscuits and gravy - they never make the gravy for whatever reason, which is disappointing, unless the district manager stops in. He is friendly and has your food out fast.. I probably will not be back after this morning. I pulled in and waited ten to fifteen minutes in an empty store not realizing the employees were in their car. I shouted to see if anyone was there and even called. No answer. It was only after I took out my phone and recorded a short clip, wondering where everyone was, that they came running into the store. Very rudely asking why I was recording, as if -I- had done something wrong for wanting service. I was respectful and told them that I did it because I thought nobody was there and had called the location a couple of times while waiting inside. The waitress then rudely asks "What do you want?" While the cook proceeds to mention that she wasn't "sitting in the restaurant and waiting for customers at 4 am" It was silent and awkward while waiting for them to finish my food - which I feel like I was over charged for out of spite. And honestly felt out-numbered and threatened while waiting. I love Waffle House. It has been a favorite since I was very young, but I have never been to a location where no matter what time of day the service is slow and often rude regardless of if anyone else is in the store or not. Nor have I felt so cornered, threatened and unappreciated as I do here because I simply wanted service. So, the ball is in your court. Please make this place the Waffle House we all knew and loved. We stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The staff was rude as soon as we walked into the restaurant. Snapped at us for sitting at table before it was cleared. Did not bring menus , asked if we really needed them. We ordered. They brought my husband's meal first, part of it anyway. When he was about halfway through he got the rest of his. My meal didn't come until he was almost done. Both our meals were lukewarm at best. The biscuit on mine was burnt. I assume biscuits with sausage gravy is either one or two biscuits but I got one and a half. It was on a small plate so every time I moved anything on my plate it was running off the plate. The waitress only checked on us once. My husband paid and he said they acted like they were glad to be rid of us. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The worst place! We walked in at 8:15 pm with 2 ladies behind the counter and 2 other people in there eating. The lady at the register watched us walk in , never spoke, looked at us several times while we were seated. I wasn't expecting a lot from a Waffle House. The food was great but the service was absolutely horrible. It might have been the worst service I've ever seen. Instead of cleaning tables the employees stood around talking to each other and turned customers away who wanted to sit inside the restaurant?! There were line 7 employees and only 2 who were actually doing anything work related. It was very dirty which scares me since I consumed food there. Website says the dine in area is open but my family and I were turned away and told to order and wait outside. That we could not eat inside. We had a disabled family member so this was quite an ordeal, to get them in, then out immediately. You need to update your website and put a notice on the front door if this is the current policy. Absolutely the WORST Waffle House I have been in! The employees were indifferent to myself and my family members. We were never greeted!! The place was a pigsty! We could not sit down because the empty tables were covered with dirty dishes. After one family member started to move dishes we were yelled at. We were told we could not do that. Ok, we understand because of health issues, but no attempts were made to clear a place for us. One employee started to clean one booth, but returned to the work station. One family member sat down before it was completed. The employee from behind the counter yelled "you can't sit there until it's finished being clean!" No, attempted was made to finish Cleaning the booth. We realized we were not going to be waited on so we turned to leave. As we were leaving the original table was not cleaned, but a man had come in and was sitting there. Here's the thing, HE WAS NEVER TOLD HE COULD NOT SIT THERE. So, he was certainly not yelled at! Went to Waffle House restaurant #1822. It was late at night and the service and food were horrible. 3 employees were there sitting down, one male watching a sports game on hIs phone and the 2 girls just hanging. Didn't ask if we needed anything. Didn't bring jelly for toast or provide a single drink refill. The waffle makers were all above trays of past made waffles which were touching the newly made waffles because they were not cleaned. The food was uncharacteristically way below par for Waffle House.
