$6 Breakfast Meal with Coffee +$2.6

Good food, quick service all for less than $10! What a deal in a convenient spot off the expressway in Hagerstown. Props to a friendly staff!

This is how I roll: two eggs over easy with hashbrowns scattered!

Now watch me whip...watch me Nay-Nay. (Okay!) Now watch me whip, whip...watch me Nay-Nay Sorry. Just had to get that out of my system, as that song was immediately stuck in my head after meeting my server for the day (see pic below). Aah...Waffle House, how I've missed you! You're like the distant redneck cousin of Denny's that I never asked for; but SO grateful I got! This place may often be referred to as "the grease spoon kitchen", but it really depends on what you look for in a breakfast that day. I can tell you this: you can order your food pretty much any way that you like and you can see just about everything that's being prepared in the kitchen. Very rarely have I ever been disappointed in a Waffle House. Unfortunately, you basically have to live in the South (closer to the East coast) to find one. And sometimes Oklahoma as well. One thing I found intriguing about this location: they are literally located a mere 10 feet away from a Cracker Barrel. Seriously, I could spit across the parking lot. That's gotta be weird, right? I mean...the element of laborious competition via famous chains alone, not to mention the internal debate a patron has.. "Should I go for the greasy spoon bumpkin redneck breakfast...or the old timer country style breakfast?" Oh...the possibilities. But...I digress. I can't really say enough good things about this place, especially since they're a chain establishment and are almost all pretty much the same. So i'm just gonna end this review with 4 artery clogging greasy spoons out of 5.

Super friendly staff and the food was pretty dang good at a ridiculously affordable price! We probably could have ordered one plate between the two of us (it was a healthy portion size). My only complaint was that the bacon was a little too crispy, but overall this was a solid breakfast. This was also my first time ever eating at a Waffle House! I'm satisfied.

    Awesome well done hash browns

Standard Waffle House flair and style. No frills, just waffles, bacon and strong coffee. This establishment was clean, had fast service, and was easy to find seating in (even during a lunch rush). I'd go back.

I'd wanted to try Texas Roadhouse for a long time. I actually tried visiting another location once,…read morebut the wait was so long that I decided to leave. This time I finally got to experience it with some coworkers, and I'm glad I did. Our server was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and she made the whole experience even better. Even though the restaurant was very busy, she stayed attentive and always had a smile on her face. The only downside was the waiting. Even with joining the waitlist ahead of time, we still had to wait a bit for our table. The food also took a little while to come out, but considering how packed the restaurant was, it was understandable and definitely not because the staff wasn't working hard. The food was worth it. We shared the Cactus Blossom as an appetizer, and I ordered the steak with mushrooms and onions. Everything tasted great, the portions were generous, and now I understand why this place is always so busy. I'll definitely be back.

I visit this Texas Roadhouse often. Like ornate it offers a nice variety of steaks, chicken, chops…read moreand ribs. It is very popular and can be quite noisy and very crowded during peak hours. To minimize wait time I strongly recommend their app which you can use at any location. You sign in and when when you arrive you can get in the waiting list while waiting in your car. When a table opens up they text you and you can then go right to the front of the line. The other way to avoid lines is to go early if you can. They open at 3pm weekdays and before 5 you can get very decent early bird prices for several menu items. The food is very good, especially for the price. I usually get a steak which comes perfectly done to order. Seasoned just right. I like the baked potatoes and sweet potatoes that you can get topped with a variety of toppings. I've also tried the pork chops and ribs which were great, beef kabobs with grilled onions and peppers on rice or mashed potatoes (yum). I've tried the prime rib which is also good but frankly the steaks are better. Recently I tried their country fried steak for the first time. It was ginormous! Filled the entire plate. I will admit though that I was a bit disappointed. I've enjoyed better at several breakfast spots even though at half the size. I love the cactus blossom which is their version of Outback's Blooming Onion. I think both are equally delicious. Their BBQ rib appetizer actually comes with fries and can make a reasonable entree for some diners. Like I said the only negative I have here is the crowds and the noise. But I guess that's also supposed to be its charm? Ugh
