We were seated immediately and had water in our glasses within minutes. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and somehow had us in and out in about 40 minutes without ever making us feel rushed. That's an art form. Drink-wise, my boyfriend was happy to find some local beers after our brewery-hopping adventure earlier in the day. I ordered a cocktail that sounded good and asked if they could make it spicy... maybe throw in some jalapeños or something. They didn't just accommodate, they elevated. They swapped in a spicy-infused spirit, and it paired perfectly with my wood-fired roasted corn pizza topped with cilantro and jalapeño crema. Absolute flavor bomb that paired perfectly! My boyfriend's meatloaf with mushrooms and mashed potatoes was equally impressive. No notes, just clean plates. We started with the ceviche, and it was outstanding. Fresh, bright, and so flavorful that we started dipping our homemade pita into it. Speaking of the pita, that was honestly my only minor miss (and it wasn't even a miss lol). As a carb enthusiast, I wanted a little more salt and flavor, but that's nitpicking in what was otherwise an exceptional meal. Hearth & Herron is the kind of place every small town wishes it had. We ultimately took that suggestion and went elsewhere. We ended up having such a pleasant experience at another restaurant that we decided to stay there for dinner and did not return for our reservation. It was disappointing, especially because we've enjoyed the food at Postero in the past. We weren't expecting to be seated early or accommodated immediately, just a welcoming interaction while we waited. Unfortunately, the way we were treated made us feel as though our business wasn't particularly wanted, so we chose to spend our evening somewhere that made us feel more welcome.

Management shamed me and belittled me for calling the poIice on a man who is terrorizing me that I have a restraining order on. I was t-h-r-e-a-t-t-n-e-d by management because they care more about their undocumented iIIegaIs giving them business than a homeless American citizen saying cops scare off customers who are in the country iIIegaIIy. Zero reguard for my safety as their paying customer. I helped third shift out in bad situations more than 5x to make sure they were safe. Funny I care more about your employees being safe than you care about customers being safe. Even though I am a paying customer management became a-n-g-r-y with me when employees gave me messed up orders or a bag of ice for my cooler. Their real problem is my living situation. How dare I insuIt their business as a homeless person dealing with a p-r-e-d-a-t-o-r or DV. The treatment I have gotten from management is dehumanizing s-e-x-u-a-I h-ar-ra-ssm-ent sIanderous and disguesting they really went out of their way to paint a bad picture of me. By the way your employees were nice enough to help me with ICE knowing I have grade 3 degeneration compressed discs and bone spurrs in my lower spine with a constantly imflamed sciatic nerve.
