We walked in at 1am so officially it was Mother's Day! We were greeted immediately and the mood was amazing. They were playing music, cooking it was probably halfway full of people, but the vibe was amazing. You never know what you gonna get sometimes. The waitress came and took our drink orders quickly. We requested a minute to decide. I ordered the Texas cheesesteak bacon melt, with chili & cheese hash browns. My bf ordered the Texas patty bacon melt with cheese and chili cheese mushrooms and ham hash browns. We waited sang along with the music, enjoyed the show of the cooks doing their thing and enjoyed each other's company! The he food came in about 10 minutes and was hot and fresh! When I tell you it hit the spot....it was SO good. When you have that craving for something but you eat snd then you're like that's exactly what I needed that was the he feeling I had!!! I have no plans on returning to this location. I went there for dinner one evening with my spouse, and a small group of individuals were watching me very intensely the whole time! They were acting rather suspicious. Than, an elderly man came in and was harassing the female staff! The lady in charge appoligized to me afterwards for the incident. I really liked the female staff. However, I felt very uncomfortable there and I did not feel safe to leave until the Fire Marshall walked in. We were parked right next to the front entrance. Please have very good situational awareness wherever you go! I recommend the new Waffle House in Orange Park instead. read more

Let's start this off on a high note. The food was great, on par what we'd expect from a Waffle House. My daughter ordered breakfast and it was fresh, hot, and what she wanted. Coffee was just right. I strayed from the usual and ordered a deluxe chicken sandwich and had a great surprise. A grilled chicken breast (see picture), not a patty, with cheese and bacon. It was very tender and tasty and totally worth it. I've never not ordered breakfast from a WaHo and am glad I tried something different. Everyone who was working here were pleasant and helpful. The low points? Frankly, the floor was filthy. Needed a really good sweeping to be honest. Went here to eat with a group of friends, I was ready for my bill and payed with apple pay. The cashier was taking too long to give me the receipt just looking at it so i grab my recent and tried to let them know that i was going to be on my way out. they made a fuss and made my peers pay for my food even though i had already payed with not only 1 but 2 RECIEPTS on me... where else could the receipt had gone, i can't do digital receipts so... should know your own system. read more

They would have got 4 stars but my omelet looked so bad and I think they intentionally put it at the bottom of bag so I wouldn't see it. Looked like they were heating up already toasted bread on the griddle. Lady didn't have gloves on and was handling plates with food on them. I think her hand touched my bread. This place is jammed packed today! I ordered the All Star to go. There was a little wait because there were a lot of call in orders and a lot of people. I didn't mind waiting because the food is always good. I talked to some of the customers that seemed like regulars while waiting. Enjoyed the conversation. I felt safe here unlike some waffle houses I've visited but then again it could just be the time of day that I'm here. I will be back. read more

Love how quick this place is. The food is good and the service is spot on. I also like how they put your drink in a to go cup, in a way you get double the orange juice in that big to go cup. I love Waffle House. I eat there all the time. This was my first time ordering from this location. I called the order in for pick up. 4 scrambled eggs, 1 order of bacon, sausage and a coffee. The meal was just over $15. Thats $4 more than I've ever spent on that meal. It took several minutes of standing around before someone came to the register, so the food was cold before I ever left the restaurant. I'm also positive that they cooked 2 eggs instead of 4. We came to this Waffle House to give it a try. First, the table had been cleared, but needed wiping. Even after the waitress saw us trying to clean a dry table with dry napkins, she still didn't bring a cloth to wipe it with. I had to get up and get my own menu, sweetener and more coffee. She was nice about offering to make decaf coffee and came back to ask how we were. The waffles I make at home looked better than theirs. I don't think the manager does enough managing there could be the problem. read more

We had breakfast again at the Waffle House today and it was great. We sat at a booth and we were immediately met with a smile by Anyjah. (I hope I spelled it correctly) . She was so wonderful and sweet. Our food was good and our waitress made sure we had drinks filled. We eat here at least once a week and they have turned this location into a good place to go. Good location with great customer service! I've been here only twice and each time they were busy but the traffic is managed quite well on the morning shift. I had the pleasure of being served by Steven. Steven has a welcoming disposition, he's friendly, and he truly cares about the customer experience. Every time I come to try and eat at the Normandy location they say that they're closed. I've came at 3o'clock, I've came at four, and I've came at five. They state that the grill is shut down or that they're waiting for shift change. I've never been told that before at any other waffle house. I've also worked as a first responder and never had any problems coming in the middle of the night/early morning to get food. read more

I went to this waffle house probably about two months after it opened. It is still bright and shiny and new inside. I am not a big fan of waffle house in general but every now and again it's useful. I sat at the lower counter and was helped right away. The staff of which there were two cooks and two servers, we're all pretty nice and relatively focused. You know I swear, it's an epidemic the Cell Phone's that people are on 24 hours a day they are forever checking their stupid phones while they are supposed to be working. So that goes for my server to who is standing in front of me while I was hoping to get some coffee creamer playing with her phone instead of looking for something to do. With that said she was nice and I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it it's just that people nowadays have terrible work ethic. I don't think places like that or really any restaurant or frankly most places should let their employees bring Cell Phone's while they are on duty, they can reach them in case of emergency at the work phone but, what do I know. Meanwhile I ordered an egg white omelette and it was pretty good. I also ordered a cup of tea for which I needed that cream, and while I did have to ask for my refill twice, she gave it to me with a smile. All in all the prices pretty decent and the people are pretty nice and it's clean inside and the food is good for what it is so I would come back. If you're looking for gourmet food we all know this is not the place but that's ok with me. read more

Came in on a Sunday and it was super busy. Tables were dirty because people were just leaving. I found a booth with my boyfriend and cleaned it up my self because it's just a habit. Gina came and took our order and apologized for the wait and chaotic mess. I told her i had to be out in 30 minutes. She got our food out so fast I was amazed. I've had to wait at least 15 minutes every time I come. (Even if I ordered ahead) But the servers are nice and polite and they are always willing to fix any issues that arise. I go to Waffle House all the time and have never even thought about writing a review. This Waffle House was completely unprofessional and lacked customer service. I called in ahead of time to order because I've worked all day, and was on hold for over 10 minutes. I tried to call back and it kept going busy. I thought, hey, they might be really busy. However, when I showed up to the Waffle House, only about 8 people were in the establishment. I was told to wait to order when I noticed the phone was STILL off the hook, unable for any other customer to call in. There was 3 people staffed and they acted like I wasn't even there. My business was unwanted and after standing there for 5 minutes while I was being ignored I finally decided I didn't even want service anymore. We decided to get a bite to eat this evening and found the waffle house to be open and not busy with 5 customers in the place when we came in. Everybody said hello as we made our way to the booth. The waitress came over to take our order and my wife ordered a bacon patty melt with hash browns and ordered the hash browns cooked extra crispy and a unsweetened tea. well the extra crispy and un sweet tea seemed to throw a wrench into the order. She asked me what was my order was and i said the same as my wife. Again another wrench. I also asked for lettuce and mayo to be added. She left to place the order and apparently she was having trouble getting the order right to the cooks and some banter went on between then for a few minutes. low and behold when our order came there was no lettuce and mayo for my sandwich and both of our hash browns were not cooked extra crispy. the meal was eatable so i opted not to loose my cool and tell the waitress that our order was wrong as we tend not to go back to places that mess up our order. If they were busy, i could understand not getting an order correct but when there was only 5 customers in the place, this should not have happen. After about 10 minutes she came back by to see if everything was ok and give us our bill. She just assumed i was done as i had two bites of my sandwich on my plate and took my plate away. We paid and left. I think we will not visit this one again as we normally go to the one on Roosevelt but this one was closer at the time. read more
